4 hours ago, Arkie said: I changed from Bangkok Bank to Kbank last year. It took around 60 days. I changed to Kbank to eliminate having to personally make trip to Bangkok bank each month. Bangkok Bank will set up a special SS account that you cannot use as checking. Not required at Kbank
So one can make the transfer to KBank? What re the rules once it is transferred?

1 hour ago, kidneyw said: I had the same problem on Christmas day. No idea what upset them. Did the appeal thing with the head turning etc., About an hour later was told my appeal had been approved. Have no idea what caused the suspension. I assumed it was some glitch in their algorithm.
did the face scan thing and sent it only to realize after that my camera was taped over. Cannot reappeal.

All of a sudden as I was scrolling through Facebook a notice pops up stating that my account was suspended for 180 days for going against their community standards. I could appeal at any time during those 180 days. I appealed immediately and was instructed to provide a selfie video orchestrated by Facebook. "turn you head and follow the direction of the arrows". I did this much to my chagrin and they said they would decide via a message email. Today I received an email stating my account was suspended indefinitely with no further explanation or a chance to appeal a second time.
Anybody else have this experience. I lost hundreds of family pictures.
Please, serious response only.

I've been going to Bumrungrad Hospital for the past 8 years, every three months to see my Internest, Dermatologist and Opthamologist. I've been through chemo and radiation for throat cancer and numerous other procedures. I have a retiree medical plan in the states that reimburses most of my procedures and medications. I take some sophisticated (and expensive) medications as prescribed for a typical 78 year old male. I schedule my appointment for the same day and travel to Bangkok the day before and return home the day after. Travelling has become tiresome and expensive (hotel, food, taxi, etc.)
I would like to continue my medical care in Nakhon Sawan since it's only and hour away from my village. I've previously used Srisawan Hospital for some issues and I am aware of other facilities that have Farang patient care. I am looking to transfer all my medical issues to Nakhon Sawan and am asking if you have any knowledge about doctors and facilities in that area. I can post this on the forum if you prefer other wise I will keep this private between us.
Thank you for any advice you can give.

3 nights in a row she hasn't had my dinner on the table when I got home..
last night after I picked tom up at the airport I phoned her up to tell her we were on our way to the house and were both hungry.
tom was starving, he said the plane food wasn't up to it.
I gave her a good 2 hrs heads up.
we arrived home about 21:00, both expecting a slap up meal to be waiting us on the table and all we found was mrs. smith and her friend sat in front of the TV playing cards!!
what's that all about?
tom wasn't pleased.
he went to bed on an empty stomach and hasn't surfaced yet.
poor lad.
whats the point in having a wife if she wont even cook you and your mate a meal??
she's gone out now with her friend again, shopping on my credit card!
it's getting to be beyond a joke now.
I can't even remember the last time she made me breakfast in bed!!
it could be time to trade her in for a younger model if she doesn't up her game.
I've had it up to here!!!
bob.
You are such a waste of breath.......

I presently have an excellent insurance policy that covers Internationl claims. My Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield policy is connected with Global Corps for these International claims. I have lived in Thailand since 2009 and go to Bumrungrad every 3 months for health reasons. A year ago I was treated for cancer and all my claims were covered 100%. My 3 month checkups are also covered. But the problem is that Immigration will not accept this in place of a Thai insurance policy. If I take the cheapest Thai policy it will interfere with my US coverage plan.
Is there any way I can Can get Immigration to accept my US policy?

45,000 short of 400,000 yesterday for marrige renewal in Nakhon Sawan. I have a second bank where I make my transfers to from the States and it much more than the monthly requirements. So I took the bank info where I thought I had the 400 and a 6 month printout from the transfer bank. Still denied and they told me I would need a 12 month transfer statement. I thought there was a combination method when renewing an extension of stay.

Non Imm O-A Visa Questions
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I hope this is the appropriate thread to ask my question. I have been here for 17 years on an OA Visa. I'm married and have done my extensions susing marriage and 400,000 in the bank for several years with no problems. I'm 78 years old and not longer travel out of the country. I have an opportunity at the moment to convert to an O Visa which would save the 30 day wait time when applying for my yearly Visa. Should I make the switch?
