and i thought it was a english forum.

As stated this is Thailand you either buy the cars that are cheap, or you pay a lot more for something European, but whats the point of complaining, you are making that decision, no one is forcing you to buy an impractical open top car, or something with a 'german' badge.

second hand cars hold there price here, try buying any half decent second hand car for less than 100,000 baht, in the uk you can pick good older cars for 30,000 baht

Yes, still reasonable residuals here for the right car.  I gave up worrying about the overseas price a long time ago.

Now I only worry about the affordability here.  I'd love a C63s coupe but just can't stretch to 9.9mil baht.

If in the UK I'd love a Mclaren but couldn't afford the 170 K GBP price tag either..

  2. Still laughing at anybody who thinks bargirls talk and sit because they like the customer.. hahahahah

Funnier still that guys go to bars for conversations with bargirls... Hahahaah

I go to bars to have conversations/drinks with my friends or to find a bargirl to service me. If she doesn't like me or want me that's a bonus.. After all why pay them to do something they enjoy ?

I wax mine in my carport

Me too. That way I can ensure a decent job and don't have to worry about them scratching my car with their dangling jewelry or belt buckles or worse burning through my paint with a rotary mop.

Glass coating at a reputable shop used to dealing with high end cars is one thing. Local car wash and polish for a few hundred baht is another. Too risky for me thanks.

  4. True. I also wonder about the quality of construction. And more so about the fit and finish. I have been in a few high end developments and have yet to be wowed by the workmanship. Yes, expensive materials but often massacred by poor tradesmen. At least if you pay for luxury in the West you usually get high quality work, electricity that is safely managed and plumbing that doesn't leak.

    Joking or serious?

Joking.. But only partly. In pretty much every major capital city in the World there is high end/high cost property.

Yes you can analyse it and discover that over time some is a better investment than others.

But I'm not shocked by the price.. I'm shocked that there are people who are shocked by the price. To the sector that this sort of development is aimed at it's not shocking.  People spend 10 - 14 Million dollars on a car. More on a boat and sometime more still on objets d'art.

And guess what there is always someone poorer than them who thinks they are dumb for 'wasting' their money..

Women, and particularly young women here are not allowed to stand up for themselves to anyone older than then, or anyone 'higher' up on the 'respect' ladder.  They are taught and conditioned to not say anything against anyone who is older than them, even other females.

Its this part of the culture that need to change.  Also those few that do have the confidence to try to bring charges are treaded very badly and loose a lot of face for themselves and their families, who would rather just hush it up and sweep the matter under the carpet, or ignore it and pretend it never happened.

I'm over 50. tommorow I'm going to central to ask young women to undress for me.. Can't wait :cheesy: Why didn't somebody tell me they can't refuse years ago ?

So you would abuse young girls if you were a teacher, doctor or photographer, forcing them to get naked in a room alone with you against they wishes, because they were afraid or you, or loosing their job or ruining their career?  You would think it normal, but slightly bad behaviour on your part of feel no guilt about it?

They weren't young girls. He didn't force them physically it seems ( the story is ambiguous, I would say he asked and they relented because he was a teacher ) But  if you re-read my original post you will see I say "I don't condone it "

What I consider normal is, that he being a man would want to see young women naked.  He went about it in the wrong way and used his position to make it possible.

This doesn't mean he's sick, a weirdo, a pervert, an animal or any of the other narrow minded victorian labels used.

He just saw an opportunity and used it. Nobody was harmed. It won't be the first or the last time that a naive girl has been tricked into showing her bits.  More fool them. shame on the parents.

OMG seriously, I'm not going to say any more otherwise I'd get a posting holiday, all I will say is - you are pretty sick if you think all this is normal behavior

So you really don't think a man wanting to seen young women naked is normal ?  Did you have an interest in naked women when you were 16 ? Have you lost that interest now that you are older ?

Strange. Why if it's not normal is the internet bursting with naked pictures, Movies stars are youthful and often strip off and nude shows and gogo bars are everywhere.

I'm not saying it isn't bad behavior and I'm not condoning it. But sexual attraction and curiosity is perfectly normal.

I hope I never lose interest in the naked female form.

  10. I have similar porous tiles in my carport and driveway. Mine are cream/grey coloured so hard to keep clean.

I use a grout cleaner from homepro ( acid based ) or alternatively hot water with bleach/Mr Muscle and and then jetwash. Letting the detergent soak in for an hour seems to help a lot ( I don't let it dry out)

The grout comes up clean and it removes most of the tannin stains from leaves etc.  I've seen the grit blasting attachment for my Karcher jetwash advertised but never seen a non-industrial set up in action.

I'd seal the tiles if it was a smaller area but a good quality sealant that will hold up in this climate seems to be hard to get as well.

Takes a couple of Months to get dirty then it's out with the jet wash.

Thanks for all the replies guys !

Why black ? How is that any better ?

Watch out for calcium deposits if you use granite. May be that is not a problem for you, but my water

has a lot of minerals and that gets stuck on everything. When I retiled my pool, I used "glass tiles" and they

look like crap just after a year. My worker actually managed to scrape the deposits of without damaging

the tiles, but it's a hell of a job ...

Let me know if you ever find a "decent" pool builder, lol ....

This is an interesting idea. I could have a stainless steel structure, instead of pine wood, and cover with stones above ...

I might try making a 1m section and see how it looks ...

    Thanks,

    rudi

Black,  because it won't turn yellow. Although it may turn grey ?

They don't imagine it is their own daughter.

Most who don't see a problem with it, is because it is a Thai girl and they are all sat at home having a hand shandy.

My daughter wouldn't be dumb enough to be coerced in that way. It's all down to parenting. If their kids have been brainwashed into following orders without question who's fault is that ?  No different to poor kids being abused by people in authority ( Clergymen, scoutmasters and teachers )  in the West.  The difference is that in the West they target young kids who don't question authority. Try asking a girl in a UK uni to take her clothes off and see how far you get.

so you want to see nude photo's of young girls, is that what you are saying ?

This so called teacher should have had his home searched then arrested and charged, he is a dangerous sexual predator and abuser for taking pictures of these young girls and has likely done a lot more than take pictures

Or he may just be a normal man that likes to see young women naked. It's a Uni not a kindergarten.

Nowadays it's acceptable to be gender confused/neutral/gay and take part in all sorts of depraved sexual acts that were punishable by death in the last century.. But suddenly when a normal hetro fella is interested in naked girls he's a sick perv... What is the World coming too ? BTW my grandmother got married at 15... Guess my granddad was a paedo ?
