I have a Honda self propellled lawnmower. I am very happy with it, only, like you said, the life time from the blades is extreme short. I have a nice lawn, no stones. I do not touch the soil with the blades, but the upper part, (so the part what creates the airflow to lift the grass and move it to the bag) disappears within 5 hours of use. The replacement costs 1.800 baht. I complained often at Honda and the shop where I bought.
Finally I designed myself a modification. Now I use a Honda blade what lasts around 30 hours and costs only 600 Baht. And also with this blade it is the upper part part (so the part what is far away from the grass) what disappears....
Overall I am happy with the performance from "my" Honda. I am a bit disapointed in the response from Honda.
Arjen.
Interesting. I too have a Honda self propelled mower but so far no issues with the blade assembly. Had it four years and cut over half a rai weekly. I've had the blade sharpened once. Is yours 100% Honda ( motor and chassis ) or one of the locally made chassis with a honda motor ? Just curious in case I need to look at my blades again - It seems to be cutting fine and filling the bag easily.

Can't wait to see the confusion. Thais seem to have trouble planning their approach to a junction and often get in the wrong lane. Then cause tailbacks as they attempt to change lane at the last minute from a line of stationary traffic.
Imagine the fun when they all get in the right hand lane ready to turn right but then discover that to go right you have to keep in the left hand lane.. Talk about mental torture...

That was the beauty of Pattaya in the past.. Nobody really though about money. Barfines, Beer, food and hotel all super cheap against the Pound/Dollar. The, I don't care, ring the bell, barfine a third girl attitude was what made so much fun. Even a guy with a mundane job could be a Prince for a week.. But once a guy is thinking about his daily budget I can see that fun element disappearing. If you want to party hard I say even 10k baht a day isn't gonna cut it.. Barfines, ST's and premium booze all add up pretty quick. Yeah still cheaper than London or Sydney but not the bargain it once was.

Hi, it is not me, it is for someone I know and who is being a very feminine russian girl, unable to do it physically and (of course) mentally
If she's tall and skinny we might be able to work something out

And full of Bangkok Thais who don't even blink at spending 1200 baht for their kids. They can't wait to take selfies and show their friends that they can afford it.. Different mindset.

HomePro has it on it's online catalog.
You can try(!) to ask at HomePro for order to their branch?
You need to speak Thai or have help in Khon Kaen I am afraid.

(they mixed up the spelling: "Blit")

New 2018 date aside (ha!), has anyone passed by the junction and saw any balloons and bunting, so to speak?
I heard there will be spit roasted pigs, claypot cooked chicken and a free buffet around 19:00

Save yourself hours of pain and annoyance. Don't buy a cheap and nasty one.
Stick to a quality brand like Husqvarna or Troy Bilt. Not the cheapest but more likely to last.

Lets get the party started....

I like my bland econo-box junk..........20.4 klms/litre on my monthly return trips down south totalling 1,890 kms
Well they keep making them.. So somebody must like em

More of the same bland econo-box junk. No different to what is already on offer. At least they have started to realise that it's not only the driver who needs an airbag.

Yeah, but I bet Mr Auto expert isn't driving an AU$ 200,000 car. Paint protection film works, simples.

With a broad bit it eats thru Qcon and other lightweight blocks. Used it so many times since I bought it. Worth the price and no bruised knuckles.

I use a grinder with a masonry cutting disc to cut the edges and a rotary hammer with a broad bit to chase out the channel.
The grinder makes a shed load of dust. But at least the rotary hammer is easier on the wrists than a bolster and mallet.
I know there are specialist wall box cutters available in the UK ( like below ) but doubt they are available here.
Rotary Hammers are available for about 3K baht - I bought a Hyundai from HomePro.. Good bit of kit.

The perpetually ill lonely hypochondriacs who clog Doctors surgeries with colds, aches and other problems that could be soothed with over the counter medicines.
Easily solved with a bit of lateral thinking. Either make people that present with frivolous complaints wait till the more important cases are seen, all day if necessary, or make them attend a pay for use clinic.
In New Zealand, while hospital care is free, everyone that sees a GP has to pay, quite a lot and even pensioners have to pay. Not sure about children though- perhaps they are free.
Yes if there was a fee. even a small one it might keep some of the time wasters away. Unfortunately though I fear many of the time wasters would get an exemption as they are on the social, drug dependent, a migrant, have gender issues etc etc. A fine for 'wasting the Doctors time" might work :) My fathers Doctor ( an old family friend ) says he sees the same people over and over again - Career hypochondriacs constantly being shuffled from one department to another trying to fix their mental issue, backache, depression, eating disorder or needing a sick note for work. You are spot on about management rewarding themselves over the workers. It's rife throughout the public sector. Anything Govt funded has been treated as a gravy train. Easy to witness fancy council offices, artwork, seating, team-building holidays, expenses, company cars, fat pension schemes and blown out pay packets. Meanwhile the actual workers with the skills are scratching a living and vilified if they ask for fair pay. Managers, Meetings and Committees are the millstone around every bodies neck.

When I heard the anti-Trumpers wanted to blow up the Stone Mountain in Georgia, I thought they were joking. They weren't. This has all got totally out of hand, it started with a statue and has now progressed to huge historical monuments, next will be works of art, bank notes, music, anything that could be construed as having a relation to unfortunate chapters of White history.
Suffice to say, re-writing history is wrong. full stop.
Yep the Yank anti monument idiots are no better than Islamic State who also destroyed history..

The NHS is not Free we pay through our taxes.
True. It's basically compulsory medical insurance. You all pay a percentage and if you are unlucky enough to be ill the NHS steps in to help. "free at the point of care"
Unfortunately it is being "robbed" often by the people who have contributed the least. Many of whom have self inflicted problems caused by their lifestyle. Smokers, the obese, addicts, alcoholics plus the chronic malingerers bogging up the system to get their welfare and disability payments. Then there are the huge malpractice and compensation payouts to the new breed of ambulance chasing lawyers. All who see the NHS as a cash cow. The other drain on funding is the chronic over management and wasteful spending. Like any other nationalized industry it is massively wasteful. Cut down on red tape, unneeded managers, committees and fat-cats. Then there would be more cash for the actual workers.

This is what I was thinking also...
Seems ridiculous to add plastic on glass coating.
Glass coating won't protect paintwork from stonechips and hard impacts.. No matter what they tell you in the adverts. Glass coating makes the car easier to clean and protects the shine. They are two different products with two different purposes.
I'm concerned about loose road grit being thrown up by my front wheels essentially "sandblasting" the paint on my sills. And about stones and grit damaging the front spoiler and nose as I do a lot of motorway driving. Having paint retouched can effect the resale value of a car as prospective buyers often see new paintwork as a sign of accident damage. Not to mention it's annoying as <deleted> to see stonechipped paint on the bonnet around the lights.
Oh, the lights have had paint protection film added too... Hate to think what replacing a damaged lens on a Merc LED would cost.

Hawking freely admits that he probably would never have survived if not for the free NHS treatment he received . I actually don't have a problem with whatever the cost was as I believe this is exactly what the NHS is for. To help when real trouble arises. To provide expensive care that Mr Average could never fund himhelf.
What does upset me is, well off people using free resources that they could easily pay for. The perpetually ill lonely hypochondriacs who clog Doctors surgeries with colds, aches and other problems that could be soothed with over the counter medicines.
The obese, the gender confused, the plastic surgery junkies and loads of other self indulgent wasters who want a pair of boobs, anti depressants or a gastric band for free.. You want it pay for it yourself ! Also on my hate list are the unemployed and feckless still having multiple kids with multiple partners... and expecting the taxpayer to fund their care. Lastly are the foreign health tourists rorting our healthcare and not paying the bill.
Without the above the NHS could thrive and have funds to step up when the average guy/girl gets cancer or needs some major and expensive operation. The NHS should be there as a safety net for the real emergencies. Not to have it's budget frittered away on day to day runny noses and underworked millennials with 'depression'
"Save the NHS" Think before you waste it's time and money.

HomePro etc sell several types of ready mix repair mortar. Small bags start at around 35 baht. Only need to mix with water. Just right for small jobs. Usually in the same aisle as the Lanko and Sika products. Alternatively Weber make an exterior grout designed to bridge larger gaps - Downside is that it only comes in grey or beige
