  1. What time do you finish work as most full time Muay gyms start afternoon sessions at 3 or 4ish,

    2 other options,

Bangkok fight club which has nightly m4ay although not much room for kickbags and only one trainer

or find yourself a trainer to teach you, ;pending how serious you are

    Cheers

have more info on both if you need it

I am looking for practising muay thai after work. Where can I find a list of clubs available in Bangkok?

I live in Pantip, Do you know any club not far from this place?

    Thanks

    :o

  2. Must admit it was a great tournament. Some good rugby in display especially by the winners - the Tomohawks from Australia. Local team Southerners lost to them in the final.

Good venue, good weather (although hot) and good beer.

Yeah they were strong, every tackle hurt and they turned us in most tackles. I was proud of the boys as no one expected us to play well.

    WELL DONE SOUTHERNERS

  3. I am not sure if this topic is better in the Bangkok forum or maybe the General, but its here anyway.

I am planning on spending a couple of days in Bangkok shortly. This visit is mainly to pick up a few bits and pieces. I will probably be staying in the Samran hotel on Petchaburi Road, near the shopping malls. I have never seen a live Thai boxing match and would like to do it this time if possible. I have no idea where the venues are in Bangkok other than Lumpini Park. I don't know if this is a good place to watch and the prices etc. Can anyone recommend me a good venue for an evenings boxing.

I would prefer to steer clear of the tourist girlie bar boxing.

    Thanks.

You can't beat Lumpini for it's old school style.

There are fights 4 or 5 times a week. Tuesdays are generally the best as they may have title fights on. The price it a bit over the top but I love it there. Beers are 50b. Ringside for a farang can be between 1500 to 2500 but the stands are only 5 to 10 metres away so go there. If you arrive a little late you can also request a cheaper ticket which (after bartering) you will get. That's the best bet.

you can check imes, prices and upcoming fights on here (dont buy your ticket from a tuk tuk driver ha ha)
