try to remember this. In the USA, 220 people die every day of the flu. This is 4 to 5 times the world averge. did you do the math? Yes, it is 80,000 a year and that number is increasing year over year. GOP and Trump do nothing about it.

is there a difference between lying and simply not talking about the truth.

what countries discriminate and even hate foreigners the most? Is it USA and England? I lived for 6 months in Russia. they would seem to be number 1 but they have few foreigners living among them. ... and few visitors. I did see 2 black men in 6 months.

the wounded may need it a lot more. when we read x dead and y injured we think more of the dead. trust me, the y injured may have a miserable life in front of them

in 2018, 80,000 Americans died of the flu. No one knows this. the GOP covered it up because they know their health care for profit kills people. in any case, so far this is not a problem. even those who got it were treated and released. Americans had probably 200 die of the flu yesterday. (Note: 80,000/365 = 219). Where is the news about this? Bad health care in USA caused by the greedy GOP. Poor people have no money for care. That is a major crime against humanity.

the % in this article seems quite wrong. 1% of the world population is about 80 million. maybe I missed something.

how soon we forget that USA had 80,000 die of the flu in 2018. not much was written. USA health care so bad and expensive the GOP surpressed the news in general.

before you panic, the USA had 80,000 citizens die of the flu in 2018. No panic, no lock down, little news...just bad health care from a 'for profit' system. i.e pay or no service.

Thailand cannot ignore the air quality and expect tourism to increase. The air must be clean but they also must invest in more tourist type of activities. Good luck. The business people of Thailand must work together to fix the air the problem. they can start with the government. They cannot simply sit back and ignore with expectations of 90% occupany.

my brother wa a great driver at age 10. he later was a race car driver. at 12, I assume he drove well but....this is the problem.....at a young age one mistake and it is all over. my brother made mistakes but lived. play the odds and wait for young people. yes, some can drive well but letting them by themselves, no seat belt, etc. the odds are against them

The great lesson all visitors must learn...this is not your country. Things can really go wrong for you if you violate the law...and you do not know even 1/2 the laws. just do what is right.

i think there should be a retirement type of visa starting at age 0.

I think many countries should change the retirement VISA from age (whatever it is) to age 0.
This VISA requires a person to report every 90 days and a new VISA once a year. This would make it a lot easier to track people.
It would also add a huge amount of money to the country. Expats and especially Digital Nomads can stay in the country and spend at least 65,000 bahts a month. Billions of dollars would enhance the economy and, at the same time, make it easier to track foreigners…who really do not cause many problems when considering the huge amount of money they contribute to the economy.

these hospitals should be significantly cheap for Thais. It is a benefit for the citizens. for others...YES...they should pay more!
My main point is this...even though we pay more at these hospitals it is still significantly less than Ram in Chiang Mai and other 'international' hospitals.

if you want an effective police force pay them well. New Orleans, USA under paid police and they were not good. In fact, 30 out of 37 trainees were convicted felons. Pay police well and they will serve better

I think it looks great. A tourist area can be harmed quickly. Tourist return home and say bad things. that spreads and spreads. hard to get new people, for example, their friends to come. The opposite is also true. advertising is important but what the people say upon their return is vital.
-
All countries have immigration issues. I wish all countries would understand a few things.
-
You beg tourist/expats to come. Remember that. They advertise, etc. They are inviting people to be in their country. Please come.
-
There is a ‘cost of business’ when millions come. Yes, you might have to clean up a mess or 2. Yes, someone might end up in the hospital. Paperwork required at immigration. Countries, for the most part, complain about these costs as they continue to beg for people to come.
-
I spend 100,000b a month. If I leave I assume some people will have less income. If you leave, the same. If many leave then the economy suffers.
-
If many leave and fewer tourist because a country does not recognize the ‘cost of doing business’ then the economy suffers and it is even better for expat/tourist to be in that country. The cost of living goes down.
There are silver linings. I lived in Russia. That was easy…very easy to live there. Too easy. The average woman wage went from $300/month to $1,000/month quickly for that reason and many more. The ‘mail order bride’ business is almost nonexistent there after many years of thriving.

The 800,000b rule is a game changer. I am sure many will leave. This will cost Thailand a lot of money. I need the 800,000 in an investment account. It makes enough money every month to help me.
What Thailand and the world needs to do is provide health care insurance for all Visa and tourist when they do not have adequate coverage. Health care is getting way too expensive. The costs must stop but it seems government do not really care to control the unGodly cost.
Make it a country run account. In other words, no profit from greedy insurance companies.
I would like them to charge maybe 15,000 each year for my retirement visa (I have no idea what the right number should be). Take that money and put into an ‘insurance’ account. Give the retiree a moderately deducible health care insurance policy.
They can also give tourist the option of buying an insurance policy at xxxbahts a day. Again, the whole world should go to this type of plan.
The problem with travel is this…get sick, for example, in USA and your bankrupt. It should scare anyone who travels without worldwide health care coverage.
Ok, I know I did not give much thought but the idea is this…government run insurance (no profit for insurance companies), every Visa and tourist pays something unless they are covered, and coverage by a policy that has a deductible…not too high but not too low.
Of course, preexisting conditions cannot be covered because many come for to Thai for health care.

China buys a huge amount of soybeans from USA. They canceled 90% of their orders recently. maybe a good time to sell to china. (get you foot in the door now).

Just eliminate the income requirement is the best solution. Next, hire me to create the letter. I will actually require bank statements.
The USA was making $50 doing nothing. That does not sound like the USA would stop this on their own. $50 and I have to make out the form, show a valid passport, and say YES. Hummm. I can do that and even more

Scary that he complained that Thai wants to know that a teacher of young kids is a felon. I would have deported him on the spot...if he really did complain.

by the way, it is still flu season in USA. That means 220/day die from the flu or pneumonia caused by the flu. that is 80,000/yr. that is USA only. the rest of the world have cloudy numbers. i think around 400,000/yr.
So what is my point...world health care is not as great as it should be based on the multiple trillion$$ spent on it. it seems that God has locked away the solutions. The doctors need a breakthrough. And while your at it, what can you do about my bad back other than another pill...555
