  1. by the way, it is still flu season in USA. That means 220/day die from the flu or pneumonia caused by the flu. that is 80,000/yr. that is USA only. the rest of the world have cloudy numbers. i think around 400,000/yr.

So what is my point...world health care is not as great as it should be based on the multiple trillion$$ spent on it. it seems that God has locked away the solutions. The doctors need a breakthrough. And while your at it, what can you do about my bad back other than another pill...555

  2. I think many countries should change the retirement VISA from age (whatever it is) to age 0.

This VISA requires a person to report every 90 days and a new VISA once a year. This would make it a lot easier to track people.

It would also add a huge amount of money to the country. Expats and especially Digital Nomads can stay in the country and spend at least 65,000 bahts a month. Billions of dollars would enhance the economy and, at the same time, make it easier to track foreigners…who really do not cause many problems when considering the huge amount of money they contribute to the economy.

  3. All countries have immigration issues. I wish all countries would understand a few things.

    1. You beg tourist/expats to come. Remember that. They advertise, etc. They are inviting people to be in their country. Please come.

    2. There is a ‘cost of business’ when millions come. Yes, you might have to clean up a mess or 2. Yes, someone might end up in the hospital. Paperwork required at immigration. Countries, for the most part, complain about these costs as they continue to beg for people to come.

    3. I spend 100,000b a month. If I leave I assume some people will have less income. If you leave, the same. If many leave then the economy suffers.

    4. If many leave and fewer tourist because a country does not recognize the ‘cost of doing business’ then the economy suffers and it is even better for expat/tourist to be in that country. The cost of living goes down.

There are silver linings. I lived in Russia. That was easy…very easy to live there. Too easy. The average woman wage went from $300/month to $1,000/month quickly for that reason and many more. The ‘mail order bride’ business is almost nonexistent there after many years of thriving.

  4. The 800,000b rule is a game changer. I am sure many will leave. This will cost Thailand a lot of money. I need the 800,000 in an investment account. It makes enough money every month to help me.

What Thailand and the world needs to do is provide health care insurance for all Visa and tourist when they do not have adequate coverage. Health care is getting way too expensive. The costs must stop but it seems government do not really care to control the unGodly cost.

Make it a country run account. In other words, no profit from greedy insurance companies.

I would like them to charge maybe 15,000 each year for my retirement visa (I have no idea what the right number should be). Take that money and put into an ‘insurance’ account. Give the retiree a moderately deducible health care insurance policy.

They can also give tourist the option of buying an insurance policy at xxxbahts a day. Again, the whole world should go to this type of plan.

The problem with travel is this…get sick, for example, in USA and your bankrupt. It should scare anyone who travels without worldwide health care coverage.

Ok, I know I did not give much thought but the idea is this…government run insurance (no profit for insurance companies), every Visa and tourist pays something unless they are covered, and coverage by a policy that has a deductible…not too high but not too low.

Of course, preexisting conditions cannot be covered because many come for to Thai for health care.
