  1. I got bitten while in Amsterdam a few years ago.. Horrific itchy rash all over.. I found that using the antihistamines you buy for hay fever did a good job for a few hours.

As for getting rid of them, better off burning the mattress and buying another.

  2. If it was on your windowsill and ran off in a hurry, it wasn't a pit viper. Probably a tree snake of some kind.

I am going on what I and my son saw and looked up online.

It could well have been a tree snake for all I know as we weren't exchanging greetings or business cards.

Once he had gone I was happy.

The thing that makes pit vipers so dangerous, apart from the venom, is the fact that they don't try to escape. They stay still and rely on camouflage. They also live on the ground and tend not to climb.

  3. Interesting....

I'd like to see some real quotes posted...

    I've applied online, I'll see what's offered.

    Great idea!

Here are some of our best sellers. All prices are in USD and are ROUND TRIP:

    Bangkok > London | $3190 | Thai Airways

Bangkok > Europe (excluding London) | $2890 | Thai Airways

    Bangkok > Brisbane / Melbourne / Sydney | $1990 | Thai Airways

    Bangkok > USA | $3290 | Cathay Pacific

    Bangkok > Japan / Korea | $1290 | Thai Airways

I do not think those are great prices. If they are first class prices, they are OK. If they are business class prices they are not good. Now how do I define business class? My basis is the Premium elite class on EVA airlines. From USA LAX to BKK with a stop in Taiepei the roundtrip flight is about 1700 USD. That class of seat is very large, no elbow room issues, separate from coach and the only higher section is first class. I consider EVA Elite class the equivalent or better of International Business class

EVA Elite is not and never has been Business Class, "Royal Laurel" is EVA's Business class. Elite is a premium economy class. Very simple answer is do you turn left or right on boarding....

I missed that post.. I fly elite sometimes. As someone with a large and long frame, I find the comfort level much like economy is to an average size person, only without the brats. Nothing like business.

  4. From the OP:

Republican lawmakers warned the leaders of Iran on Monday that any nuclear deal they cut with President Barack Obama could expire the day he leaves office.

I think the leaders of Iran would like that....they would probably be highly motivated about that.

However and to the contrary, I'd expect the ayatollahs might know more about American government and politics than the Republicans in the Senate give 'em credit for, because they seem to be planning and preparing for a woman in the White House who this time will be the commander in chief.

    President Ballbricker.

I expect a number of the Iranian delegation studied the US political system as part of their university education and some of them might have studied in the US. To send them a letter explaining how the system works is like sending them an alphabet primer. They're just clowns making fools of themselves and undermining their own electoral hopes and the president, who is their president whether they like it or not.

  5. Is there Nandos in Thailand or just that vile Piri Piri copy of it? I ate at Piri Piri in Terminal 21 about a year ago and it was one of the worst things I have eaten in Thailand. I think that if Nandos were to adjust the menu for local tastes, they could sell well in Thailand.
