  1. Question 3:

You should think in terms of 20ft/40ft containers to minimize your shipping costs and depending on the size and reputation of yours and the Thai company you might be able to do the payment on LC - Letter of credit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Letter_of_credit

Note anything on LC MUST match up on all paper work - invoicing and shipping or you will have problems for export/import. LC does protect you and them, otherwise SWIFT/TT some sort of deposit and then final payment on shipping

  2. 'Micro fiber' blankets many brand names - stay cool being one of them, I used global house's own brand the blankets laid on top of the aluminum ceiling frame supports. They do work but be sure to have some form of venting for the roof.

  3. No embossed stamp the plate isn't legal - although the government has told the police to relax the law as there is a manufacturing backlog due to the floods and also the problem of paint flaking on a large batch of plates. As I posted in a thread before I got a replacement plate in less than 7 days as my boss knows somebody high up at the transport department - to the OP i'd want something in writing about the dodgy plate's the dealer is trying to pass off before I gave back the red plates/brown book

  4. I'm hearing quit some complaints of AIS users, and it seems to be mainly in areas where they are rolling out 3G.

It seems the switching between the old gsm net and the new 3G (wcdma) is not smooth in areas where both type of signals are present.

Even in Pattaya where most coverage is 3G now i notice my phone sometimes flipping between E and 3g indication with brief moments of no network in between.

Sent from my GT-I9001 using Thaivisa Connect App

I'm getting the same problems as Monty E to 3G to H - I have AIS 3G package which is pretty patchy for speed across Bangkok and is dire at work in the west of Bangkok (Phet kasem road) - most of the staff in the office are on True and tell me there's no problems...........

  5. I currently have AIS on 'post pay' - for the last 2 months the call quality has been very patchy even when full or near full signal, I have swapped out the sim to a different phone and its still the same .........

So I'm thinking of switching to TRUE - your thoughts?

    Thanks!
