I live in the north of Bangkok and I'd like to buy some goat (Fresh if possible). I've tried at my local market this morning. They have a large number of Muslim butchers there but none of them sold it. They said to try Klong Toey. I'd rather not travel that far.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

As a happy owner of a 2019 model, MG Extender, I thought I give you my 10 bahts worth.
I have no issues with the way the truck has been put together. It drives well and fuel economy isn't an issue and for me, it's very comfortable. I have the 2WD i-smart, Hi-Ride model.
Finding a good, reliable service centre is important. But that's something that you need to do for most car brands.
Last year we had a problem with ants shorting out a relay and rats making a meal of some cables. The car spent the best part of 2 weeks in the garage. The garage was unable to supply a courtesy car so they gave us free parts and labour servicing for up to a further 3 yrs or 150,000 kms, plus a 15% discount on any other repairs outside of servicing. I thought this was very fair.
I recommend anyone to go and actually look at one in the showroom, rather than listen to negative comments from people that have never sat in one.

I think the problem starts at an early age. Many students in the first couple of years in Prathom, are taught English by Thai teachers. This is where the mistakes in choice of vocab and pronunciation are made. Once made, they are very difficult to change.
With regard to mixed up words. My wife confuses 'Tomato' with 'Potato'. Now, we just say 'colour brown' or 'colour red'.

I don't know the owner personally but I'm pretty sure I know who he is. He was coming out of his house on motorbike when I was coming past on mine.... The dog instinctively charged me and bit. The owner saw / heard it but carried on going....
To be honest I'm not sure I have much chance of getting him to pay for anything? I'd probably have to go through the police.
I got bitten by a dog in my village about 6 months ago. The owner was downing a Chang about 3m away. He saw everything and then denied it happened. He reckoned I'd fallen over. I went to the hospital and got a course of rabies shots and a tetanus jab.
He then went round the village telling everyone that I'm a liar and making everything up just to get some money out of him.
My wife and I took the bill and photos of the wound to the police. He completely ignored any dialogue with the police so they have now summoned him to court.
Wether he turns up or not is anyone's guess.

So, does being a Phillipina hooker mean that you're fair game for any thieving scumbag that chooses to rob them? No, of course not.
Whatever she had done during the evening is irrelevant. We should all be able to walk home without the threat of being robbed.
Well done police for the quick arrest.

That must be the fugliest truck front end design ever.....????
Or is it a barbecue storage hook up....????
I thought exactly the same as you, but I looked at one in the showroom the other day while waiting for my truck to be serviced. It didn't look so bad in real life, it didn't look so big. I still don't like the chrome. I'm sure there is an option to change it for black.

I don't know where timberpond lives, but there's a nice park near me.
Royal Thai Air Force Park at Don Mueang. 1.2km cycle track and a walking/jogging track around the large lake. Plenty of parking and there's a toilet block. Snacks and soft drinks available.
It's usually fairly quiet.
Oh, and there's a golf driving range there, if you're into that

Another Lazada rant (not about Lazada but about the delivery service)
We ordered stuff through Lazada. Shipped very quickly.
A couple of days later the ... began.
1- Received SMS in the morning that it will be delivered that day
(tried to call Delivery guy, (number was in the SMS) but phone wasn't working. Tried a couple of times during the day)
2- 9PM looked in the Lazada APP, Unsuccessful delivery due to recipient reschedule (<deleted>) (AND NO we didn't re-schedule and we were home all of the time)
3- 2 days later, Received SMS in the morning that it will be delivered that day
(tried to call Delivery guy, (number was in the SMS) but phone wasn't working (again). Tried a couple of times during the day)
4- in the evening looked again in the APP, Unsuccessful delivery again
5- Next day, called the delivery guy (finally his phone was working). Came up with excuses that he called several times and no answer from us and that we called to re-schedule. At this point my wife (who normally is very calm) got angry and said "You called?? When? Came and look at our phone no MISSED CALLS and when did we call to re-schedule???" So my wife said to him, SEND IT back (we always pay COD) we don't want it anymore.
6- Next day, I talked to LAZADA and they were very apologetic, they even offered a discount coupon, they will talk to the Delivery Service, but I also said if we get another delivery from this company we will refuse it.
We also contacted the seller and said because if this we will NOT accept the order, and they were also apologetic!!
From now on (before we buy) we will contact the seller and ask which delivery company they use, if they use this company we will NOT order.
I've had the exactly same problem a few times. Always with Lazada's delivery company LEX.
Getting the message that they have tried to contact us (Never) and that they will try again in 1-2 days (Still no contact) is bl00dy irritating.

No real problems with Lazada orders. My problem is with the delivery company that many Lazada sellers use.
Name is 3 letters, starting with an 'L'.
I always pay COD. Many times this company says that they were unable to deliver and tried to contact me. I always check my phone, no missed call and no message from them. Then I'm told that they will contact me in the next 1-2 days.....It never happens. I've checked that they have the correct mobile number. and tried to contact them, but still no luck.
It doesn't happen every time but it's bl00dy annoying.
On the other hand, Shoppee......No problems. but they seem to use different delivery companies.

If left unattended for a long time rats and mice can get under the hood and destroy wiring and other things. We live in a farming area and people put moth balls in unattended equipment and also use a spray with peppermint oil. Both seem to help keep rodents away from their machines, especially ones with cabs on them. It seems to work if you don't mind the smell of moth balls later.
If there are cats or dogs around your storage area they also keep rodents away.
I had a rat problem under the bonnet. I used the spray and it worked a treat. I suggest that if you have someone starting the car every month, you get them to give a few sprays around the engine .

Easiest way using the BTS is to get onto the dark green line, heading north. Get off at Yeak Kor Por Aor. After that, it's a short taxi ride to the airport.

Three of us in the family eat porridge for breakfast every day.
We get through a 1kg bag of Oats every few days.
I was wondering if it was possible to bulk buy rolled oats in Thailand, say a 5 - 10kg bag.
I tried Shoppee and Lazada, but couldn't see anything.
Thai/UK Driving Licence
in Thailand Motor Discussion
Posted
My friend's son, who lives in Thailand will soon be able to take lessons and get a Thai driving licence.
He's moving back to the UK in the next couple of years to start university.
Will he able to exchange his Thai licence for a UK licence while he's there?
