Thai man sorry for brutal assault of Bangkok taxi driver - video

What a POS. Beats up a man 45yrs older than him, and half his size. His family must be so proud. -
Thanks digbeth. At 67, I've missed that boat too 😁

Hi Sheryl. Thanks for your reply. Around 12 years ago I started working for a large well known teaching agency in Bangkok. I had a work permit and paid tax on my salary. Unknown to me, the agency didn't register me for Thai SS. I knew nothing about the Thai SS scheme at the time. I was 59 by the time I found out about it. My wife made enquiries at the government office (Cheang Wattana). They said, at 59, I was to old to enter the SS scheme. Now 67, I'm still working. I now work for a very large private company. Still paying tax on my salary. I have heard that I could still be eligible for the Universal Coverage Scheme. As I understand it, I don't need to be part of the SS scheme to get these health benefits (No matter how small), I would just have a small amount of money deducted from my salary every month.

Hi. I've lived and worked in Thailand for the past 20 years. I have a WP, pay tax, have a yellow TB and pink ID card. I also have health insurance provided by my employer. I don't (Because of my age) have Thai Social Security. I've recently heard that as a foreigner, I can pay a small sum every year, enabling me to get some kind of basic Thai healthcare. Is this true? If so, where should I apply?

TM30 v Yellow House Book
jaiyenyen replied to jaiyenyen's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
No, nothing to do with online reporting. I needed to show a TM30 to get my Non IMM 'O' visa extension. -
TM30 v Yellow House Book
jaiyenyen replied to jaiyenyen's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Yeah....I was surprised too. It says on the info board at counter 'B' that it's a 2000baht fine. I'm not sure how they calculated 800baht -
Non 'O' Funds based on Salary
jaiyenyen replied to jaiyenyen's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
This appears to be the problem. I live with my wife, in Bangkok. I do my 90 day reports and yearly extension in Bangkok. However, I work in Pathum Thani and my work permit is issued in Pathum Thani. They don't want me to use my salary as proof of finance. -

TM30 v Yellow House Book
jaiyenyen replied to jaiyenyen's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
No. Not online reporting. I was extending my Non Imm 'O' visa, yesterday. Last month was my 90 day report (In person), never got asked for it. As TD has just said, Counter B (TM30) was rammed full yesterday. Oh....And my wife had to pay a fine for never filing a TM30 for me. 800 baht!! I made her pay. She wasn't happy 555 -

@ Tod Daniels. Thanks for the information. So, I do regular 90 day reports, that show my address. I submit photos of my wife and I standing next to our house number. I have a yellow TB which shows proof of where I live.......... ............But still need a TM30. Quick....get me another hoop to jump through. 555 -
TM30 v Yellow House Book
jaiyenyen replied to jaiyenyen's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I use CW. As far as I'm aware, we don't fill in the TM30. It should be filled in and submitted to immigration by the house owner/landlord. I've been extending my visa for the past 20 years, and this is the first time I've been asked for it. -
Quick question. Does my wife need to enter me on a TM30 if I already have a yellow tabien baan attached to the same house.

Non 'O' Funds based on Salary
jaiyenyen replied to jaiyenyen's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
So, if that's the case, why has this method been accepted for the past 6 years? Why was nothing said before? Can they not ask PT to check something if needed? Maybe I've been lucky in the past. TM30 is registered in Bangkok -

Non 'O' Funds based on Salary
jaiyenyen replied to jaiyenyen's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Yes. The girl from HR said that she'd have a word with Pathum Thani and see if they would be happy to do it next time. That's where my work permit comes from. I find it hard to believe that there's no way for Bangkok office to check details with Pathum Thani, if they really need to......... ..........But, then again.........555 -
For the past 6 years, I've used my salary to obtain my yearly Non 'O' Marriage visa extension. This has always been accepted. Today I went to CW, with my wife and a member of staff from the company's HR department. The company is very large and is based in Rangsit, Pathum Thani. I live in Don Mueang, Bangkok. It's a 15 minute commute to work. Although my papers were accepted today, I was told that I wouldn't be able to use my salary in the future because the company I work for is based in another province, and they that they (CW) can't check the company's details because it's another province. The officer suggested that I use the 400k method. My wife explained that I didn't have that amount of money. The officer then suggested to my wife that I'm hiding money from her. She also had a problem believing that we live together, even after providing the usual photos and showiing my 90 day reports. My wife only told me this after we got home. I've been extending my visa for the past 20 years, and have come to expect the worst every time I visit CW. No matter how correct my paperwork, they always find something. Post rant. My question is: Was the officer correct in demanding that if I want to use my salary for my extension, I must live in the same province as the company I work for? I can find nothing on the Immigration list of requirements.

Naked Rage: Delivery Rider Arrested After Attacking Family and Police
jaiyenyen replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Yeah.......I'm sure he loves his grandma and is kind to animals too. That driver and his wife did so well to stay calm during the attack. Others might have got out of the car and wiped the floor with him. Yes , yes, I know that would have been an incredibly dangerous thing to do. I hope a good kicking awaits him soon. -
