  1. No Colemans mustard in jars

Bought some yesterday! Hidden in amongst all the French mustard

Saw some colmans mild mustard(brown colour) at villa, and unless I misread the use by date, it was already past.

  2. That said, I balked at paying near Bt300 for a small pack of After Eights in Carrefour the other week. I am still not sure why ?

:o:D Surely you jest? You can get 3 packets of Tim Tam mint slices for that price and they can last you 3 days at least. =p

Not in my fridge they don't!!!

  3. Going to miss the 5th year anniversary by 2 days ! :D

(I'm not saying that TV planned this or anything :D )

Does seem that way, doesnt it???? :o Oh well perhaps we should arrange our own pissup??? ''

What u say, ladies and gents??? (Unofficial Pre Crissie TV Pissup???)

Sounds good to me(us), begsaresponse and I miss the anniversary do as well, we are at the pilc ball.

  4. If only there were more posts like this one, we could actually attend and enjoy these things instead of seeing or reading about them in the local media after the event. Advance advertising is not a strong point here and many events would be much more attended if folk knew what was happening more than 1 day before or 2 days after it happens!

  5. There is, of course, Thai Air Asia, a joint venture between Air Asia Sdn Bhd and Shin Corp.

    Regards

Maybe not fly with them again! At the beginning of this takeover I seem to remember something prior to the takeover about checking for the "colour of toxins money" ,obviously 'tainted' not yet official colour scheme.

  6. Mmmmmm... sounded great until I reached the preheat the oven part 500 degrees mine only does 250 degrees! plus I do not have the degree thingy on my laptop!(or I cannot find it) very unfair indeed.

  7. i like white rice but nutritionally there is very little point in eating it beyond sheer calories, its empty calories, pretty much junk food. unless its brown rice then thats fine.

alot of people still think rice it white, it isnt, its brown naturally and has to be processed heavily to be made white, during this process it loses all its vitamins and oils. brown rice out of interest should be refrigerated to stop essential fatty acids contained in the from turning rancid.

I bought a big bag of white rice which had instructions on the bag to store in the fridge, so may be common to both types of rice. Brown rice, same as brown(wholewheat)past is better tasting but takes a lot longer to cook. As a farang couple we now find we need to eat rice on a regular basis to avoid stomach problems, maybe from eating the stuff so often

  8. We flew eva evergreen to Amsterdam this summer, booked klm separate to keep money out of gordon brown's coffers, paid 58 euro excess at Amsterdam to Newcastle, still saved on taxes. Flew back with 18 kilo overweight for klm, who have to be the most strict with baggage limits, on the way back have the 06.10am flight to Amsterdam, hubby cursing says no savings on things we bring back, I never thought of that! but, probably because no office open for excess charges luggage goes thro no bother. Eva air Amsterdam not bother about 8 kilo over there so, for once, extremely bloody lucky.

  9. Mon-Fri 9-9.30am Barry Kenyan is at the Meesan cafe at the entrance to immigration. Take copy of photo page of passport and original p60 or letter from pension provider proving income equivalent to not less than 65,000bt month, if less need money in thai bank to make up shortfall, and letter will be done ready for collection next morning.

  10. i would only take family to a mall restaurant. clean, ac and your family will not be in line of vision of what goes on here.

Both of the restaurants I have recommended are suitable for children.

I personally would not take children to Tropical Berts (which is an excellent bar with good food BTW), or any place that has 'hostesses'.

The locale of the Pig & Whistle and the Sportsman makes them suspect - but I'm sure Jamiesons. Shenanigans etc are fine.

You can't pretend that the sex industry doesn't exist, but you don't have to rub it in the kids faces.

But others may have different views on this. :o

Tropical Bert's does not have 'hostesses',if that is what you were meaning, we only have regular waitresses and a lot of families dine here.

  11. We have four kids between us, all grown up and living in the UK none of them have cars, the traffic would be unthinkable everywhere if every child of every child had cars! Not everyone of car driving age has a car. We do have three fantastic grandchildren though, and they are impossible to have without children of your own, and even more rewarding, great excuse for second, or even third childhood behaviours.

  12. Well thanks for the warning, but I do believe I am quite able to become wider waisted anywhere in the world, I definitely do not need to go back to my home country that's for sure. It all depends on lifestyle choices and not where you live, or was it referring only to UK women? Interesting to note there are no figures(pun intended) for the actual proportions it refers to.
