  4. If i was Andrew i would drop the old bell bit on the sign and put the name of your restaurant on it. + the British legion thing is not right to show as you are not a part of the British legion. Its kamala guest house who the British legion are associated with now. (Just Advice) smile.png

why? An earlier post reported he had a record number of people in for Sunday roast... And it appears for no other reason that he put the old "old bell" sign out front.

It would actually seem putting the restaurant name on the sign at this point is a bad idea.

I don't think anyone who knew the Olde Bell thinks that this place is even remotely anything to do with Pedr, so if he was busy it is more likely to be because people who were unaware of this bar now know about it because of it being mentioned here. If he is hard- skinned enough he may want to consider advertising here, but so long as it's free, I'd stick with that.

this thread introduced me to this bar ,only a couple of miles from my house will try it now for sure ..

  5. I was at an lpg station and was told 800 odd baht i pointed out politely thats impossible as i only have a 35 litre tank even when totally empty cant get more than 530b well he was abusive and demanded the 800b so i called the police after a few minutes he told me to go quickly and not bother with the police told him <deleted> ill wait thanks someone else came with a calculator muliplied 35 x14.76 and came up with 516 baht so i gave him the money (car was empty) so the price was right drove outside waited 15 minutes to see if the police turned up but they didnt .i now dont use this gas station anymore ..

  6. Having stayed in samui prison albeit only 3 nights whats being written is spot on ,as for the state of living conditions its not too bad ,apart from the open showers and toilets where 400 other imates can watch you from any point of the prison makes having a poo very difficult even when eating the 3 day old food served to you ....

  7. went tothe grandview for lunch today wasnt expecting anything special for 170b but was surpised really good selections of cold cuts and mains the tomatoe cream soup was the best ive had in thailand and ive been here a long time would recommend it to anyone the orange dip crepes looked great but was to full to try will be going back sunday as its 170b 7 days a week so with the other half and saucepan lids (kids for the non cockneys) its a good cheap lunch but with a bit of quality included water and coffee in the price .think they have a new fan (*_*)..
