Firstly, thanks to all who gave sensible, helpful comments. As regards the above post – it’s back to the old-style TVF responses. Older Suzukis are not junk – this was only the second major issue in the 13 years I’ve owned mine. One reason why I keep it. Cheap rent?????? I own my home and am not aware of a link between that comment and my original post.
I’m proud to state that, in my lifetime, I’ve owned and loved 20 rescued dogs, mostly mature, including seven from CM shelters, three of whom are still with me.
Sadly, my sick little dog died the morning after I got the car back. Had the garage’s initial timescale been kept, he might be still alive and fighting his illnesses. I’m gutted, and comments like yours don’t help.
I'm so sorry you lost him.

Was it intentional or could they just have been trying to get ahead of the merging car?

When you made the backup you possibly did a clone operation rather than a backup, and Aomei copied the C drive's name to the backup disk. This would also account for why the backup disk is full of thousands of files. Format the backup disk, and this time do an image backup - this should result in a single file on the backup disk.
edit: before making the new backup, you may need to right-click the partition in disk management and choose "extend volume" so that you get the whole terrabyte available to use. Not sure.

While not condoning the truck driver's actions, they *should* have been able to fit through as the lane is u-turn only and shouldn't be occupied by stationary vehicles looking to go straight on then right as the motorcycle was. The motorcycle should have been a lane and a half to the left.

Have a close look at the two screen shots I have attached. In the first one just behind the white car is a faded, but visible 'turn right' arrow.
In the second one it is very clear that both a right turn and a U turn are permissible. There is a blue 'U turn' sign and a green 'turn right' filter traffic light.
So the SUV was in the correct lane for a turn to the right and the saloon was in the wrong lane for going straight on. Which is what I said. She should have been to his left.
But later in the middle lane is a straight on only arrow which supercedes the turn right arrow. Also presumably the yellow paint means the right lane isn't a lane, regardless of the sign and traffic light. This paint doesn't look like it's been burnt off, just got fainter with traffic passing over it. I'm not familiar with the Thai highway code, but have a suspicion the people in charge of all this aren't either.

A U turn is permitted there. If you do a 'virtual drive' up to the junction on Google, you can see the sign.
From which lane? The right lane isn't a lane, and the middle lane later has a straight on only arrow which means you must go straight on.
-
I've used this junction a few times. The SRV lane has an arrow to suggest that it's straight on only (contrary to what the policeman says). Meanwhile the right-most lane has yellow cross-hatching which presumably means it's not actually a lane at all. So it looks like technically you're not allowed to turn right or make a u-turn at this junction (lol). See the nonsense for yourself: https://goo.gl/maps/4b9mjiJczVm

As above. Also did you have an appointment? Maybe most of the 15 did. You can also ask one of the ladies on the desk and they'll tell you how many are in front of you for your doctor. Finally, unless you need to go to that specific place for oncology or something, then just go somewhere else - I find Thonglor and Purpoon are generally quick.

Not sure but I think the first bit's "he think's I love him :-)" and last bit's crying with laughter.

Breston Cheddar: you must mean 350 baht per 200 gms of imported cheese from OZ, not per kilo.
IMO, most cheese is no more than high priced, concentrated animal fat with distinctive smell and taste. the fat is a known contributor to heart and artery trouble and oops, obesity and persistent constipation.
I eat cheese all day long and am thin and shit like a champ.

Looks to me like he hogs the fast lane, gets undertaken and aggressively pulled in front of and gets upset as you say. Looks like the canal road going into CM from the south - a fast road with strangely tight bends.
So many incidents here start with people not driving in the left-most lane unless overtaking.
