Likely immigration can print out overstayers names of those that haven’t been reporting or renewed VISAs and not on record to have flown out.
Cross checking with the landlords mandatory reporting the IDs of residents.
Should be a piece of cake to find them and a priority for a person on the Interpol wanted list. The operative words there are can and should.
If they can not, the whole operation is a complete waste of (our) time and effort.

What manpower before time?? Delusion?
Also what is unlikely? They already have him, and that is what is important.
1) I meant to say manpower, time and inclination but I omitted manpower.
2) I said it is unlikely we will ever know how they caught him.
If you had read my posts before commenting my comments would make more sense.

No, I do not know at all how they work. The only thing I am referring to is general functions in systems that have been in use for long time. I chose to do that, instead of just looking down at police and immigration that so many on this forum chose to do. I see no reason coming to, and living, in a country just to look down on authorities just because things work different than in my home country. If I thought that was so good, then I would have chosen to stay there. A thing many complainers and haters here should heed the advice from.
Instead we can say, nice job. They caught the <deleted>! They got one drug dealer off the streets in Thailand. If that has to do with 90 day report system, tip from the public or solid police work? Never mind, as they are the ones that finally arrested the piece of 5h1t.I forgot to put manpower before time etc.
It would be interesting to know how they eventually got to him. Interesting but unlikely.

Why would you think that? You do not think that the system is telling them about the ones that do not make the reports. it might even be that they check a list of people, that do not report, and after that send out requests to arrest the ones with warrants or suspected illegal activities when seen. Why would they otherwise find and arrest this guy? Did he run up to a police and state his name, illegal occupation and asked to be arrested?
Obviously Mr G you do THINK that the system is telling them, and that they MIGHT be etc.
But do you know this for a fact.?
Certainly the information is there on the system if they have the time or inclination to monitor it.

Not sure if you're in Thailand, as you say "going to" and "travelled to", but I live in a condo in Pratamnak which is far from "packed". Most Russians have gone home as far as I can see. On my floor there have only been 2 other inhabited apartments in the last 6 months. Last visit to Jomtien immigration I was in and out in 20 minutes, the day before the last public holiday. "Tons of people"? Is that an accurate summation? Your buddies from high school? Hardly indicates a million fold resurgence. If you live in hope, you'll die in hope. We'll never know until the bars are booming and the shutters are up on all the many, many closed businesses here in Pattaya. I'd say they are the only reliable indicators, at least for this town. Whatever TAT dreams up.
I was in and out of Jomtien in approx 30 mins but I was only doing a 90 day and I was lucky. Place was packed, I don't know what the rest were there for but all those queueing when I arrived were still there when I left.

Yes, I know. And those drugs can suppress blood pressure readings to dangerously low levels, how does a systole/diastole of 80/40 sound?
Never knew that.
But presumably you need to take a lot for a long time to have that effect.
Does blood pressure medication have the same other effect as those drugs. ????

Buakhao is a bubble where police keep away from so not surprising masks off there
Well I am sitting in Soi Yamato now, over a dozen farangs have walked past and no more than three had masks on. It will be four when I go.
Three more mask less gone past since I posted. Anyway must dash.

Where are you seeing this? I've not noticed it yet in Pattaya
Many in Buakhao last night, the vast majority even. Same on Beach Road the day before.

All I hope for is the dropping of wearing face nappies outdoors. It’s just plain stupid.
Had an hour on Beach Road yesterday, very few farangs wearing masks.

I spend a fair amount of my monthly budget on beer, so I'm hardly a tea-toaddler, 555. I'm just saying announcements of "no alcohol" sales days always brings the standard complaints.
The "rule" is no SALES, nothing about you can't drink at home, at the beach, at a friend's house, there's nothing stopping someone from stocking up the day before or even the day of (from many mom & pop stores) and getting blitzed drunk. Why do many here fail to understand that concept?
Not everybody likes to drink at home, and are aware that you can buy from a shop but have no interest in it.
So comments advising them that this can be done are repetitive and pointless. I like going out for a drink but when it can't be done it is inconvenient but not a major problem.

Because a retirement extension is what it is. If you wish to join the know nothings (and those who do, or should, know better) who call it a visa - up to you.
It is not "effectively what it is", a visa is what admits you to a country, this is issued when you are already here.

You may see the more congenial 110 around, but I'd go with the usual figure and take it very seriously--meaning adopting a healthier lifestyle rather than hitting metaformin. Medications often have the effect of making the underlying condition even worse and leading to the need for more and stronger medications. Such is the case w/ the progression of diabetes.
It puzzled me because wherever I've had my blood tested they have always said pre diabetes 110 - 125. I was feeling smug because my last test 101. It has for years been between 100 - 110.
Ah well.
Thanks for the info.

People who enjoy the work they are doing can go on into their eighties or even nineties. Those that don't, usually tap out at 50.
True but people tell me that TEFLing is not exactly a bundle of laughs, especially for the modest pay that usually goes with it.
Unless of course you're a proper teacher who already knows what it's all about and can get a proper teaching job.

Depends on your financial situation obviously. If you start teaching now would you still want to be doing it in 10/15/20 years time, I know people still teaching in their seventies.
