"half the number of car parks to number of Condo's" Exactly the boll ocks that put me right off 'condos' years ago (each should have 2 or 3 allocated car parking spaces)

Amount Of Thai Currency I'm Allowed To Bring Into Thailand With Me?
Regyai replied to EdgeCityRider's topic in Pattaya
You can find yourself just as compromised having to explain a legitimate source for far more paltry sums to UK customs (£1K and up) baggage check/xray staff are given a daily threshold amount to notify customs -

TAT Adopts Cautious Approach to Visa Fee Waiver Scheme

Surprises me why you dont also have to upload a 'note from your mum' (maybe I should have whispered that lest some TAT fѠkwit gets wind of the idea and runs with it) -

Violent Clash Erupts at Skate Park in South Pattaya

Why don't they build an aircraft hanger sized building somewhere secluded, call it Gangsters R Us and leave em to it. They could all tear each other to pieces where no one gives a **** -
Indeed Must take one hell of an unenlightened mindset that makes it a roll of the dice as to what your customers can actually access to purchase. (Notwithstanding whether or not it is in/or out of stock in the first place due to managerial ineptitude).

at Makro probably half of it is negated by isles blocked or shut entirely by perverse restocking antics that should be done overnight

As for SCB I tried to accomplish this at their main Pattaya branch a while back and posted my experiences (elsewhere) copy/paste: Posted May 23 Well I took the bull by the horns and went to my SCB branch (Pattaya main branch 2nd Road). "oh foreigner next month" yadda yadda, after circuitous talk I ascertained that we were on the same page with what was being discussed. Head cashier intervened then called head office and eventually passed the phone to me. The suited somnambulant explained the corporate position - basically the good ole 'mai mee/mai roo/mai khow jai' inept's lament that is a long standing Thai national trait/institution. They basically have no solution for falang account holders as their systems are tied to the National Digital ID I mentioned in an earlier post above and must use the tablet with the integral card port (for national ID card). They haven't as yet any solution and don't know when or if they will! I did suggest they seek help from Bangkok bank as they don't suffer the same inabilities. Anyhow I did earn myself a nice bright new apology for my inconvenience (which I'll throw on the great metaphorical pile of them I've accumulated - one day I'll find out how you can cash the <deleted> things).

Two toy guns and a tawdry array of 'meh' blades and 18years old! I know I'm from another era and from the UK but even so that would have been the general prevail of primary school boys. -
Japanese customer accuses Thai masseur of attempted rape in Bangkok

enough with the fingering -
The simple retort for prospective buyers to use is "but they don't work - they aren't lucky" "how do you know that?" " well you've got all these trays full of them............... ......& you're getting no money off me" Joking aside, its not anything new. Way before covid in the crest of the flag following wave of Chinese tours they were being bussed into a Wat local to me. First to Wai an outside effigy and then into the main temple hall were a great "U" of tables awaited with Chinese sellers of amulets salivating in anticipation. I had a quick perusal myself (between busses) and whilst no expert I know enough after all these years on the ground here to know rampant scamster pricing when its on show.

Warnings over poisonous jellyfish at Phuket beaches
Regyai replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
The (missed) point I made is that they are VENOMOUS not poisonous as (mis)reported -
Not a tourist...how so? A serial tourist granted, but anything other than the myopic view of a tourist = 1 x 2weeks x year still fits the description. When do you cease being a tourist? I know many folks within Europe who (sl)EasyJet to other countries each weekend - does 52 trips a year make them something other than the tourist they are?

Homeless Couple Spotted Openly Fornicating in Pattaya Public Area
Regyai replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
I suppose the alley is now wall-to-wall with YouTube vloggers salivating at the hope of a repeat - being that they missed such a click bait opportunity -
This was the precise scenario that the Multi-entry Tourist Visa was concocted for. (As opposed to facilitating Multi-Entry Tourists). Even so, as things stand you do no wrong. Cant help but see the parallels to a similar experience with a immigration harridan when I attempted entry on a visa exempt for the second time (both after Covid reopening - but the last prior exempt was over twenty years ago). 6 a year or two in two decades who knows what trips their weird hormones. Do what I did - ignore the "next time you will get a visa" bitching and carry on regardless . Subsequent two trips exempt stamps done with a smile by obliging 'XY' chromosome versions.
