  2. What is the manufacturer of your motherboard, most these days come with software to control fan speed and allow to to set a fan percentage ramp per given temp.

Your fan may just be ramping up prematurely.

Download this and monitor/report what your temps are when it ramps up http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/core_temp.html

Are you sure your room temp is 40c, was that a typo? Even a watercooled fan will ramp up in ambient temps like that.

  3. A tip to help prevent fungus growing other than avoiding humidity is to take your lense, remove UV filter and give the internals a good exposure to sunlight apparently it kills the spores.

You could also put it under a uvc light for small periods of time, I'm not sure if that degrades coatings or not.

Thats what I heard anyway, just thought id pass it on.

  4. Bear in mind thats an import camera if the detaols listed are correct. The MPN should be VBA370K003 (for that body and lens) or VBA370AE for body only.

I dont know nikons policy now on repairs in the UK of grey imports, but early last year they wouldn't touch them.

Calphoto.co.uk (good reputable dealer) do the same deal for £459 with 2 years warranty and a £50 voucher for accesories, the extras you get in the ebay deal minus the lens will be a pile of cheap chinese junk anyway.

It might be more beneficial to you buying from a respected dealer. Theres only 2 left in stock.

What lenses do you currently own?

  5. I cant find any HD streams in genesis either in TVMC on linux or 14.2 in Win7

The HQ streams buffer like mad, somethings broke wish I knew what it was.

My download speed is 72M the connection isnt a problem, cleared caches, tried zero buffering .....

Searched the net not found a working solution, it used to run flawlessly.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

All I want is genesis and phoenix working without buffering and also to get HD 1080 streams back

What happened to erm... was it called Vicbox stream (maybe the wrong name) , I used to find them reliable now it seems they dont exist.

  6. I think this is the beggining of the 'indexing exif data technique' soon you will be able to view every indexed photo took on a given device and what indexed sites it was posted on, as the serial number in the exif data and URL will be indexed or at least traceable.

This is not official BTW, but it will happen not too long in the future.

Just a heads up for anyone that wants to retain their privacy, it will happen one day. Strip your exif data if it bothers you.

There is a lot of good that can come out of it, but I wont mention it here.

  7. http://petapixel.com/2016/02/19/cat-s60-worlds-first-smartphone-built-thermal-camera/

The British company Bullitt yesterday announced its new Cat S60 rugged smartphone, the world’s first to feature a built-in thermal imaging camera. The product is essentially a fusion between Bullitt’s Cat smartphones and FLIR’s thermal camera technology.

The phone has a 4.7-inch, super bright, 720p, Gorilla Glass screen and is rugged enough to survive drops from 1.8 meters (~5.9 feet) and swims to depths of 5 meters (~16.4 feet) for an hour.

On the back of the phone, you’ll find 2 different camera modules: one is a standard 13-megapixel camera that shoots ordinary photos, and the other is a special FLIR-made thermal camera that provides a heat view of the world around you.
