  1. Oh dear what a great question. Fight for Thailand, my guess is most faangs in Thailand are here for the easy life, cheap booze, cheap women. Can I or any one else see the keyboard brigade putting their easy lives in danger. No way easy come easy go, and when it gets harder ?.....?..

Whenever I've asked it to people who wax lyrical about how much they love Thailand, I get the feeling 'the easy' life is the only reason why they are here. I too think most would say no yet in my opinion if you make somewhere your home and love it, you should be prepared to defend it, ot protect what you care about.

  2. There's plenty of people who call Thailand their home so let;s cut to the chase with a hypothetical question. If Thailand was invaded and thus at war, and needed your help, would you join the army and fight for it if you could, or would you claim its not your country and leave it to the Thais?

    Just wonderin'

  3. Sorry, yes to clarify. It's a regular electronics store, selling notebooks particularly that has a website, so that I can decide before I buy. I want to buy in the store and not on line. i don't want to turn up without being able to see what's in the store first, I live far out of town, this is why.

thanks for all help so far

  4. Hi all. I have moved into a new apartment. I doesn't offer any internet service and the owner said he has not plans to introduce one as its only a small complex. I have only signed a 3 month contract so I don't want to have a cable installed with true and opt for a longer term option.

What would be the best thing to do? I'm curious to know if dongles are used here and if so how much a month it is. I would be interested in using it around bangkok. Are there better short-term options?

    tx

  5. I don't think you can appraoch this topic so simply. Both places have a variety of options which you can tailor to suit your own needs. It is possible to live in Bangkok and be away from much of the traffic and noise if you want the best of both worlds, though that will usually involve some commuting.

I think you need to state what kind of person you are and what you want to do in your chosen location before others can make an informed decision rather than one that sounds like the result of a coin flip.
