Maybe you are thinking of Silom road? Plenty of sports happening there.

What is bash or closest equivalent in Thai? Is there such a word other than hit hard? On line dictionaries are of no help.

Could someone please explain if it is possible to enter a temple and ask for a blessing for your child. If, so what exactly should I ask for? It's just a wish of good health that I am after really but if there are many such things specific to children I would be interested to know what they are.
Thanks

Mostly its manageable but sometimes its not. Usually I just feel strange but sometimes its a lot more than that. Yeah I know I should stop but its not easy. And its not like I drink everyday, 2-3 times a week at most.
-
Hi all, I was wondering if someone could help here. I have drunk most of my life and never had a real problem with, often going long periods without a drink. In the last year I have noticed a change the day after which is beginning to cause me concern. The following day after drinking, whether I have a hangover or not -usually I don't get them- I feel like I don't know myself and can't think coherently. Often I become scatty and sometimes do things without reason. It's as if my mind is not my own and I behave out of character but not in any harmful way.
It's beginning to cause me concern as one day last month I spent the entire day doing the same thing 3 times over and had no idea of why I did it. I am in my 40's, do I need to be concerned do you think?

My personal favourite is 'Can a jedi lightsaber cut through superman?' Anyone care to hazard a guess?

Is the Canon 70d on sale in Thailand yet? I am out of the country and cannot check. If it is, could someone tell me how much it is going for. I was hoping to pick it up with a 18-135 or something like that.

Hi, is there a book that I can read to my child that tells stories of the life of Buddha? Pictures would help and I would prefer it to be in English.
Thanks

Oh dear what a great question. Fight for Thailand, my guess is most faangs in Thailand are here for the easy life, cheap booze, cheap women. Can I or any one else see the keyboard brigade putting their easy lives in danger. No way easy come easy go, and when it gets harder ?.....?..
Whenever I've asked it to people who wax lyrical about how much they love Thailand, I get the feeling 'the easy' life is the only reason why they are here. I too think most would say no yet in my opinion if you make somewhere your home and love it, you should be prepared to defend it, ot protect what you care about.

The OP should consider first which direction he would be ordered to point his gun.
Past performance suggests it won't be at some invading army.
And what is that supposed to mean?
-
-
In theory I would, in practice I would be afraid to be sent on suicide missions by officers who hate farangs.
We would be the front line?

People do, I hear it all the time that Thailand is ''their' home. It's a serious question that I often ask such people and get a less than convincing answer along the lines of '...oh I don't know about that'.
-
I would btw
-
There's plenty of people who call Thailand their home so let;s cut to the chase with a hypothetical question. If Thailand was invaded and thus at war, and needed your help, would you join the army and fight for it if you could, or would you claim its not your country and leave it to the Thais?
Just wonderin'

Hi, does anyone know of a website I can use that has basic games for toddlers. I don't want my little one stuck in front of a screen for hours but something that they can play for a couple of minutes would be nice. After personal recommendation if possible.

They are for pedestrians and the cars will stop if there's enough of you crossing. Much of the problem is the placing of them in the middle of long stretches of road where the cars will boot it, although as agreed, most will ignore them no matter where they are

I'm not asking for advice on how to shop and where, I'm asking for a shop that also has a good on-line store that I can look at first. If you don't know of one, save your posts for another post please.
-
Sorry, yes to clarify. It's a regular electronics store, selling notebooks particularly that has a website, so that I can decide before I buy. I want to buy in the store and not on line. i don't want to turn up without being able to see what's in the store first, I live far out of town, this is why.
thanks for all help so far
