Why is PTP worried about the courts as all they need to do is unleash the red shirts who will happily surround the relevant buildings and issue an " abduct on sight " order in respect of judges.

Who was the last person they abducted?

They didn't but were ordered to grab any Constitutional Court judges they saw while the reds had the court surrounded.

You don't think there are reds who would carry out such an order if the opportunity arose ?

They haven't to date which makes you comment pure speculation- they have had plenty of opportunity- the leaders are probably to politically savvy for that.

MAybe I`m mistaken but during the red protest didn`t some of the reds take the manager of some tv station for a drive somewhere to have a quiet word to him about restoring some kind of broadcast he had stopped showing.

Since I don`t know how to search function properly maybe someone else can find the link.

Not trying to be political but I happened to be in CM the time that the yellow shirts camped out at the airport. Although I guess I should have paid more attention I didn`t. Is there any way I can go back and view some of the forum posts around that time to see what was leading up to it.

Or did I miss a day where the yellow shirts suddenly decided to camp out?

Was last in CM about 3 years ago and was lucky enough to find a decent dentist close to what I believe is called Pratu Chaing Mai. He was located on the left side of the moat as you head towards the airport. If anybody knows the name of the place or more details please let me know. If they have a web address that would be fantastic.

If Thaksin were pardoned and came back to Thailand, wouldn't he then face charges for not appearing in court, terrorism and other corruption charges? He can't be pardoned for those crimes as they haven't gone through the courts yet.

I say, pardon him and let him return, then arrest him and throw him in jail for his other crimes.

Not sure which things he is hoping to get pardoned for but in regard to all the other charges he may be facing on his return.

What if the ministry of justice decided to drop all those??

Wouldn`t he come back with a pardon and not have to face any other charges??

Please excuse my ignorence but if the current government was able to pass laws or change the constition in order to suit one person can another government reverse those changes if they were to get into power??

so if Thaksin has been invited by Japan to give a speech and tour the earthquake sites, I wonder why he was not asked ealier. Wouldn`t he come across as being more caring if he had flown there sooner and perhaps maybe even made some donation.
