The Phillip[ne government has had many problems with women were who left the Phillipines as 'girlfriends' of foreigners and then overstayed in the country they went to as workers and sex workers. in the past.
Therefore the Philipine government is very strict about allowing women to leave the country with their 'boyfriends'.
This policy has been in effect for years.
I think the philippine government is worried about human traficing. .

So Tony numbnuts shirt front on Vladimir Putin didn't work. The Australian pushy big mouth yellow tailed P.M was going to take Putin to the cleaners. Guess motor mouth numbnuts ran out of batteries.
do you feel better now after that out burst ?
what did he do to make you so angry ?
he does try to do the right thing for Australia.

Assuming you are talking about your intention to apply for an annual extension based on retirement at your local immigration in office, you can definitely apply as early as 30 days before the current permission to stay, but at SOME offices, as early as 45 days. You do not lose any time on your new annual extension by applying early, it is actually recommended to do so, as the new annual extension begins after the current permission to stay expires, not your application date.
thanks for that info.....I will do it tomorrow.

My retirement visa runs out on 6th December 2014 ....how early can I get my new extension ?

I left because I was bored after 10 years it became same same every day i've done 300.000klm driving around every part of Thailand and Laos and Cambodia, it all gets tame.
I am sure I will be back again in a few years.
happy to be away from the heat and dirt and thieves and bad drives.

I agree with you I have travelled all over Thailand in the last 18 years and now I am bored of this country and all its problems so tomorrow I have my ticket back to farang land......I am very excited about leaving Thailand .
maybe after a few years back in farang land I might change my mind and return to Thailand..
once you are over the bar scene and its all borring I think its time to go back and thai people do not like us or want us here ....only want our money....bye bye Thailand.

The Australian government seems to be doing what the UK government does. IE promise you lots of benefits at the start of your working life and then remove them when you go to claim them. This would be described as deception or fraud if it were a private company reneging on promises. However, as it's our government, we have to take it on the chin. I think we are long due a people's revolution in many of our Western democracies.
The government should start to worry about grey power. It could be the biggest voting block in the country and it's going to get bigger.
Expats should threaten to move back home and that would put the fear of god into them. Thinks of all those medical and pharmaceutical bills. They should be paying a bonus for expats to stay overseas.
Exactly, we cost the country far less by living here in Thailand and other countries. I belivee that Australia maybe soon be experiencing reverse immigration because of the soaring cost of living.
Sydney is now the 3rd highest cost of living city in the world,Many years ago it probably wasn't in the top 50 What I had to got through with Centrelink to get my aged pension was unbelievable and that was after a working life of over 40 years. For anyone who has been living out of Oz for some time and thinks they can go back and get their aged pension, when turning 65, and return immediately, you are sadly in for a rude shock.
Yes, you're correct about us not costing the Oz Govt the various subsidies they pay for power, pharmaceuticals etc. Believe me, they know to the minute when your passport is swiped on the way in.
Oddly enough, my GP still bulk bills me each visit, twice a year, and when I questioned this with the doctor's receptionist, she phoned straight through to someone and confirmed then and there that I'd arrived back in Oz the day before and yes, I could continue getting the benefits of bulk billing.
However, my visit to the pharmacist was quite different, and he told me I'd been taken off the pharmaceutical benefits list and had to pay the vastly overpriced cost of medicine. Cholesterol lowering drugs were listed as $55.00 each, and in the UK I read that the same thing is around 3 pounds.
Fortunately, the cost here in Thailand is nowhere near those prices.
I can not believe anyone is still taking statins (cholesterol lowering drugs) after all the stories around about how bad they are.....every one needs cholesterol no one need statins with all there side effects.

After my wife was cremated I went back the next morning for a dawn ceremony and I had to pick her bones out of the ashes and then wash them in holy water then place in a basket for another 2 days in the Temple to dry then another ceremony to place them in a large glass jar before placing in the temple wall.
It is a very final act and you have closure and you know the person is dead and gone.....not like in the west when you see a coffin slide thru a door.

Last week i was returning to pattaya from Udon Thani and went thru Prasat near Surin and thought i would try to drive my car into Cambodia.I have asked before and they say "no can not take car into Cambodia."
So here is how to do it,at the chong chom border near surin.
Get stamped out of Thailand then cross to customs and give copy of passport and blue car book and they fill in some papers and i gave her 100 baht. Then drive car thru border into no mans land and then pay US$20 for Cambodian visa. Then cross to Cambodian immigration and get stamped in.
Then you are suppose to stop at another place to get final permission to enter Cambodia but i'm not sure if you need to stop there as they keep all your car papers and expect some big money,i just sat and waited and waited and then picked up my papers and said thank you and jumped into my car and took off into Cambodia.
4 hour drive to Siem Reap on hwy 6 good road, then after doing the Angkor Wat thing.
Went home via hwy 6 to Sisophon then left there to hwy 5 to Battanbang.4 hour drive.then right on to hwy 57 for 88 klm nice road trip to Pailin and then cross back into Thailand at Pong Nam.we just pulled up at the gate and they opened it and we drove straight thru to Thailand then had to go back to check out of Cambodia.
So if you ask then they will say no because they want you to use mini bus and they are too lazy to fill in the papers but if you give a 100 baht they do it.

Buy your self a glucose meter....available many pharmacy in thailand.
then stay away from carbs (rice, bread, pasta and all wheat especially whole grain)
google jimmy moore and learn about low carb eating.
after you eat a meal test your blood glucose on your meter and you will soon learn what to stay away from.

I was in Nakhon Phanom yesterday and came across an old hotel maybe called the river view hotel,Looks like it was big in the 1960 s with the US airforce during the vietnam war. and bombing of Laos.
Does anyone have any ideas or stories about this old hotel just a few hundred meter down from the big clock in Nakhon Phanom ?

All true ...very sad to see...I had to go to manila to get my lady thru the immigration interview...lucky for us after she see the pics of me with her family back in the village....she just asked me to fill out a statdec and give a copy of my passport and she was then allowed to fly out of the Philippines. ..without me being there it would never have happened..
