    Nando's Condemns Hoax Halaal E-mail

    It has come to our attention that an e-mail showing a picture of a chicken with a Nando's packet over its head under the headline "Strictly Halaal", has recently been distributed via the Internet, under the guise that it is a legitimate Nando's advertisement.

    Please be assured that the picture in question is not a Nando's advertisement and Nando's has had no involvement in its production. The picture is a hoax and Nando's distances itself from the e-mail and picture in question.

    Nando's is a company that embraces diversity and is sensitive to the customs and values of our customers around the world. Nando's regrets any offence that this hoax picture may have caused and we distance ourselves from the sentiments contained therein. Nando's is investigating the source of the e-mail.

    Thai G/f Got Visa After 2 Days.

    I feel guilty posting this knowing that so many deserving people have waited so long for their visa.

    But, my Thai g/f went to British embassy alone (I'm in UK). She took letter from me, proof of my mortgage and job, (but no bank statements). She told them she wanted a 2 week holiday in UK with a friend. She had told them we were friends not lovers, only because she was still legally married from a previous husband. Althought I thought this would count against her??

    Of course, we expected to wait 2 months minimum, and probably get refused.

    However they asked her to come back the next day with photos of us together and a copy of our emails (nosy bastards). To our surprise she was then given a visa, but told if she stayed in the UK any more than the 15 days she had asked for she would be in trouble, (I think the visa was for 160 days?).

    So if all your after is a quick holiday it can be relatively painless, (apart from the queus at the Embassy).

    The units of land measurement in Thailand are the Wah, Ngan, and Rai.

    Conversion factors between Thai measurements and Metric measurements are:

    1 Wah = 2 meters

    1 square Wah = 4 square meters

    100 square Wah = 400 square meters = 1 Ngan

    4 Ngan = 1 Rai = 1,600 square meters

    Conversion factors between Thai measurements, meters and acres are:

    1 acre = 4840 square yards

    1 acre = 4,046.8561 square meters

    1 acre = 2.529285 Rai (approximately)

    1 hectare = 10,000 square meters = 2.471 acres = 6.25 Rai (approximately)

    Note:

    Metric measures are commonly used in the construction and measurement of buildings.

    Land prices are usually expressed in Baht per Rai, or, for smaller plots, Baht per Wah

    some of this is true, some of it is way over the top.

    do not take in all of this, it is not all true.

    the wrong kind of bar owners in pattaya get this treatment.

    this guy obviousley just hates pattaya, if it was'nt for his member name bkk-banger i'd swear he was from hua hin. :D

    OK, you got me, I actually love running bars in Pattaya. I am just trying to keep out the competition from ruining the sweet deal I have with the lovely ladies in paradise.

    Actually that is not true either. The truth is somewhere in the middle, leaning more heavily in Pattaya to the grim end :o and in Hua Hin to the soporific. :D
