A 3 bed house costs less to build than that toilet. No wonder he has such a grin on his face. 300,000 at a push for a dunny, the rest......admin charges....

Why buy a fake ID. Yellow book and the pink ID card are easy to get.

When I first started driving here, 16 years ago, I stopped at a zebra crossing. Motioned for the pedestrian to cross. He or she walked out and nearly got hit by the 2 bikes that went down either side of my car. From then on I have always thought it is more dangerous to be courteous and stop, due to all the other drivers who wont stop and try and pass you, especially on dual lane roads. The pedestrian cant see them coming because my car blocks their view. Have never stopped since. I would love to see this rule enforced but I suspect it will never go anywhere due to their retarded "me first" attitude that almost all Thais get when behind the wheel or handlebars.

Finally, someone with principles.

Thaweesak is believed to be still lying low in Thailand. Sommai said that the arrest on Monday night of 31-year-old Thip-apa, who was married to a highway policeman of lieutenant-colonel rank, also led to the discovery of a Toyota Wish car with a secret compartment that could be used to hide money or narcotics from her house in Udon Thani province.
You just cant make these stories up.

Why do people keep associating the sex trade in Thailand with foreigners. Its a drop in the ocean compared to the Thai sex trade. Every town has its mini red light or twinkly light area. Just take a night bus through Issan and see all the twinkly karaoke bars with the girls all dolled up. I used to ride with a Thai bike group. We would go away on trips and every town visited they would be off to the local girly scene. Its so much bigger than bangkok pattaya and phuket.

Wife cancelled our true 2 days ago. She has had 3 follow up calls begging her not to cancel. Asking to just suspend it, then transfer it to a neighbour or family. Told them we are leaving Thailand as it was the only way to get them to stop. Get the feeling they are desperate to keep customers. Must be loosing loads.

Have recently moved to Brunei. Went to Honda showroom. Top model Accord. 1.26 million baht. The damn thing is made in Thailand and shipped to Brunei. Same car in Thailand is around 1.7 million baht. Rip off Thailand. Top model Jazz here is 560k. But i suppose as hardly anyone pays any income tax that they have to get the generals pocket money from somewhere.

Hope they release this guy asap.

Having just been to Cambodia and seen the attitude difference in the hotel staff between Thailand and Cambodia, plus the level of English used by street sellers, restaurant staff etc. was very eye opening. We did Laos lat year and felt the same way. Plus the much more attractive visa options being offered in neighbouring countries. Thailand has got a huge shock coming in 15 or 20 years. They will be so left behind if their attitude does not change and change soon. Think we all know that the average man in the street would like to see the change but the retarded idiots who run this place just have not got a clue. I do feel very sorry for the normal Thai, their kids get a crap education, they are not allowed to question what the higher ups dictate, must follow the leaders orders or go in for attitude adjustment.

Just my thoughts on accessories. Have found from previous experience with Yamaha for super tenere, suzuki for vstroms and Honda for the CB range that the factory accessories are pants. Much better to buy the basic naked model and dress it from other companies. I bought a full option tenere, rode it for 9 months then ditched the yam boxes and bars and fitted out with Givi. Better protection on the bars and boxes in a different league.
Its worth the extra money over the long term.

So, a while ago i bought my first tollway tag. Told it wont work for 24 hours so was useless for that journey. Then on next journey, different road, need a different toll tag. That one also wont work for 24 hours so no use for that journey. So after that i am the proud owner of an mpass and easy pass tag. Great i thought, no more queues. So next trip they work fine, fantastic says i. Couple of trips later and drive through the gate and nothing, wait like an idiot for guard to back up the other cars. You have to hold out of the window at a certain angle. What the f..k. Sometimes they work, sometimes they dont. Last straw was the last 2 trips, out of 8 tollgates, they worked twice. The other 6 times, back up or have to wait for attendant to come and scan it. So, get home, get out hammer, smash both tags. Did that feel good or what. Back to paying cash. Have wasted so much time buying the damn things and waiting at the gates.
Its so simple a technology, why the f..k cant they get it right.

We have a late 2015 3.2 wildtrack and a 2015 3.2 T+ Everest. Love the pair of them. Wife tends to stick to the Ev. I do like the ranger. Lighter than the Ev so it does go well.
No mechanical issues, good service back up. Only hitch with the Everest was the "scrap if dropped" sticker on the prop shaft came half off. Makes an awful racket as it bangs against the silencer box. Its a known issue and only took a minute to pull it off.
Just out of interest, seeing lots more Everest on the road these days, getting quite popular. A ton of rangers too.

My Everest will be a year old in October, we got one of the first 3.2 Titanium +. 23,000 kms on it, has not put a foot wrong. Have driven from Chiang Rai to Krabi, loved it. My only complaint would be the lack of GPS. Other than that, couldn't want for a nicer car.
Also have a 3.2 wildtrack ranger, 9 months old and again no issues.
Good service from Pak Chong and Saraburi dealers.
This is purely personal but I think the new Fortuner and Revo are damn ugly.

Enjoy your new ride. I have one of the first 2015 3.2 + models. Love it to pieces. Just done 2000km drive up around Chiang Mai/Rai. Was great on the fast windy hills, felt so stable.

I like my Everest. Do you like yours.
There, that's put the thread back on track.

Mine is 9 months old I think and 15K kms. Wife is taking for first service tomorrow. Dislikes first. The sticker on the prop shaft that comes loose. Had to pull that off by the side of the road.minor detail but a pain when it happened. Slightly soft brake pedal. We have a 7 month old ranger wild track and it has a firm brake pedal so when I swap it's noticeable. I tested a demo car and bit was the same. Odd.
Like IMHO I would like softer door tops where your elbow rests.
Other than that I love it. Comfortable on long runs, good power as standard. Loads of room. Don't care too much about fuel economy or I wouldn't have bought an SUV. Great stereo as standard. Even like the sunroof, use it quite a bit in the hills where we live. Never been a pax in the back so can't comment. Very quiet when cruising. Love the power tailgate. Love the looks. Mine is stock sunset red. No big wheels or silly grill.

Big guns. Can you give us a review of the interface and how it works. Where and how much too. Much appreciated.
-
Blimey. These last few comments are nearly as boring as driving a Toyota.
-
I think the sticker was marginally better looking than the revo.
-
Just had the sticker on the prop shaft come loose. It's common and Luckily I had seen this on the Everest Thailand facebook site and seen a video of the noise it makes. It's a pain in the butt to get to. Burnt my arm on the silencer box lying on a gas station forecourt. Had to Jack the car to get underneath to get a hold of it. Would recommend removing it as its a right pain if it goes on the road.
Picture attached of offending sticker. My Ev has 14000 kms on it.

Thanks chaps. Confusion reigns at house Disting. This is for the Focus that we sold last year. Just checked the VIN number. Will need to send it to the guy who bought it.
Thanks again.

Oh I am so happy I have my land title back again. Now can I borrow some money please, have land title for collateral. Or is that too cynical.
