  1. Acer. Not impressed. Battery failed after 2.5 years. 3,000 THB. One year later battery problems : replaced. Another year later: battery fails and do not want to replace straight away and want me to pay for for HW checks.

Keyboard bad, was replaced, now it is better but still unreliable.

USB 3 behaves like USB 2

Mouse problems, intermittent hangs or even shut down.

Service Center people are nice and friendly, but I question their competence.

Anyway, I've had it. Acer? Never again.

  2. Put adblock on your tool bar use the adblock option. Then selectively unblock site by site as you visit them and continue to block others.

Adblock sucks. I was using it for years until I discovered it was the cause of crashes when I would routinely have many tabs opened.

    uBlock fixed all that.

GThanks for the tip. I have lots of problems with FF andAdblock may be the culprit. Disabled it and installed uBlock. If it helps I owe you!

  3. What a mess!

The OP has a problem, but can't explain it.

Various members try to help him, asking him for additional info, but he does not give it.

More people join the discussion adding possible clarifications, followed by more comments and solutions on an undefined problem.

Then suddenly, out of the blue, the OP adds more confusion and persists at not giving vital information.

    Then I lost track, sorry.

But I admire several members patience and goodwill. I really mean it. I would have given up by so much OP unwillingness. MY perception, and I may be wrong.

  4. Fully agree with Daffy. The staff seems under no pressure and the atmosphere is relaxed. The downside is that nobody is in a hurry to serve you, the upside is that they have time to be friendly and helpful. Each officer has n 'evaluation' device and they are very keen you give them a good score, even if the job is not finished yet.

While having to 'visit' immigration is not my preferred entertainment, compared to the calvary of Bangkok (in the past) it is an enjoyable day out.
