In terms of terms nutrients @stoner recommendation is good - the nutrient from Exotic Chillis Thailand is effective and well priced. Also Nutra Hydro is another local manufacturer and most people that use it seem to be happy.
If you want imported nutrient blends you can't go wrong with Dutch Pro on their Lazada or Shopee store. Athena are here also but not that user friendly, imho.
@BritManToo - which milk are you using to calibrate your meter?
Thanks very much for your advice. The nutrients on the Exotic Chilli Plants website are good value but I was looking last night and the powder that you buy from them has to be used to make up 5 gallons of liquid, which doesn't seem like a practical or professional way of doing things and puts me off buying any?

I like this pH pen, calibrate in a glass of fresh milk until 6.6. (every 3 months)
My last two feeds were at 6.4 and things are going well with my current grow. I've bought a lot of expensive equipment, including a Bluelab PH pen and PH buffers for calibration. Do you measure PPM/EC levels when you feed or do you not bother?

Nothing special required, no need to buy special (x5 price Fox Farm) cannabis nutrients, it's just another plant. When you talk about 'teas' it sort of marks you as a total n00b/amateur.
Yes, I am a newbie but I have had some experience of growing in the past. I take it you don't use compost teas? Those nutrients you use have very unorthodox NPK ratios for growing cannabis but I'm sure you wouldn't recommend them if they didn't work? How many plants do you grow and what sort of yields are you getting with those nutrients? Many thanks for the links, much appreciated!

For those that grow cannabis here in Thailand I was just wondering what medium and nutrients you use? You can get some of the best nutrient brands, such as Gaia Green and Fox Farm on Lazada and Shopee but they have to be imported so they're expensive and increase my overheads too much. I'm always looking for local alternatives and just wondered what other people use? I've been using the Van Egmond soil and peat moss in the photos with success and I've managed to source perlite and worm castings locally, but nutrients seem to be thin on the ground in shops in Thailand? In the last photo is some biocharged compost from Home Pro that I haven't used yet, I'm thinking of making some compost teas with it and wondered if anybody on here has used this product?

I just thought I'd add that we've been out today driving around the local area, literally asking people at random (who we could see have this equipment) about prices and the set up etc which has made us realise we're probably paying a little too much and not doing this the most effective way because the guy that says he can do it is not able to give us a straight answer (big shock) about the equipment that we'll be buying. Of course, every Thai we spoke to claims that they paid a lot less but I think that's because they've bought second hand equipment.
We've decided that we're going to buy the equipment ourselves and then get someone to both drill for the water and assemble everything. Solar panels and pumps are all available in the likes of Do Home and Global House so we're going to buy from one of these places unless anyone knows a cheaper place? We've also learned that we're going to have to put the panels and water tank up high because people steal the panels when you're not around so we need to factor in the cost of building a tall structure to put them on.
Apparently 2 large monocrystalline solar panels and a 750w pump will be suffice for our needs but I'd like some advice on this please. I went to a cafe today that had solar powered water wheels that prevent the pond / canal water from stagnating which is probably a good idea so can anyone advise me on these as well? I've spoken with a different guy about drilling for water and he says he'll do it for 15,000 which seems fair enough. If we buy the equipment ourselves the 750w pump is 9,260, the 1000 litre water tank is 2,380, and the solar panels are 10,780 which means a total cost of 37,420 but that doesn't include building the structure to put the panels and tank on, and the labour. I'm hoping that I'll get everything for around 50,000? Does all of this sound about right or am I forgetting something? If anyone has any advice I'd be very grateful.

We have 6 rai of land and we're just in the process of getting our pond and canals dug out. We're planning to use a large patch of the land for growing fruit and vegetables so we're going to need an irrigation system. We won't be living on the land, the power and water required is just for watering and topping up the pond, although I may set up a simple shelter at some point and it would be convenient if it had access to electricity. I'm trying to find someone who will drill for water and set up a solar powered pump and I want to get an idea of what I'd expect to pay. I've just read through the boreholes thread in this section of the forum which was informative but doesn't give me much indication of current prices. I also need some advice on how many solar panels I require and the power rating of the pump. I've just been given a quote of 62k baht for a 6" bore hole, three solar panels and a 750w pump and I was wondering if that sounds about right? Any advice on this would be very welcome and if there's anyone in the Buriram area who would like to meet up to discuss this a bit more then please message me and I'll give you my phone number.

Those companies may well own Colman's mustard, Branston pickle and Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce now but they didn't originally. It doesn't change the fact that they are all British brands that originated from Britain. So yes, they are truly great British brands.

I'm beginning to crave some foods that I've so far been unable to find in Thailand. Tops supermarkets are good and have a lot of popular British products but they don't have the following;
Coleman's mustard
Branston Pickle
Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce
Does anyone know where these can be purchased in store in Thailand? I'm sure I could get these delivered to me through the Internet but I expect that would be the most expensive way of doing it so I'd rather buy these products in store if I could. The supermarkets sell some decent ham and cheese but the choice isn't great, where can I get good quality Prosciutto ham? As for cheese, well I like it really strong and there are several extra mature brands in supermarkets but which is the strongest? Oh yeah I love Nesquick but so far haven't seen any of this either, does anyone know where I can get some?

An excuse used is that floppy eared dogs can be more susceptible to ear infections. Rubbish....with regular cleaning/inspection there would not be a problem. BTW, pointed ears can be extremely susceptible to fly bites.

Did you see the father?Personally i would want to meet and greed both parents.
I have trained many dogs over the years and i have seen very few Dobermanns with a character i like to see.Most are too shy and nervous.
A good one is a great dog to have but they are hard to find.
I know people that have kennels and a lot use a webcam these days so anyone interested can see the pups and how the act and behave.
If you think there is something not right just walk away.
65000 baht is a lot of money for a dog so you better make sure it is what you are looking for.
Lots of pages pop up when you Google 'Doberman Thailand' but none of them are for actual breeders selling them except for the one I've already been to. I don't use Facebook either.

One of the reasons I am asking is because I have recently driven all around Thailand in the last few weeks, continuously driving past cameras faster than the speed limit, and the hire company has not heard anything about any speeding fines which raises my doubts about the efficiency of the system.

I want to get a Doberman but the only breeder I can find is in Phrae. When I went there he wouldn't let me see the puppies that he had there because he was worried they might catch something from me which seemed very strange, how does he expect me to buy a dog from him when I'm not even allowed to see how he keeps them or what they look like beforehand? He also said that the mother wasn't with the puppies and was kept in a different place, something else that seemed strange, or is that normal practice? He wants 65,000 baht for a Doberman puppy which seems expensive, even with all the official documents. Are there any other Doberman breeders in Thailand?

Does anyone know for definite how the speed cameras work because this seems to be a real grey area and nobody can give me a straight answer. I have just been on a road trip all around Thailand in a hire car over the course of 3 weeks that was just over 3,000 miles long. The signs for speed cameras are ubiquitous in Thailand, as are the cameras, but all of the cameras seem to be small, white, CCTV style ones that don't look as if they're capable of capturing an image or video that proves you have broken the speed limit, like they do in the UK. Not unless the Thai authorities have implemented a more sophisticated system than the UK, something I seriously doubt. I did eventually get caught speeding near the end of the trip and given a 500 baht fine by the side of the road but I was caught by a team of officers that were sat there waiting with a laptop that was connected to the camera that caught me, something that further raised my doubts about the efficiency of the system. The officer that spoke to my wife said all of the cameras you see are capable of recording images and catching you but if that's the case, why did they need to sit at the roadside catching people speeding in this way if the cameras can already do this for them?
The officer confused things further by saying that it was only the ones at junctions that I need to be worry about, and even though they say the speed limit is 90 at junctions, the camera won't actually catch you unless you're doing more than 120. I get a feeling that the entire system isn't very efficient and most of the places that have signs for speed cameras don't actually have any that are capable of recording images and proving you have broken the speed limit. I'm just about to get my Thai driving licence and buy a car so I need to know about this going forward. Can somebody that has been caught speeding by a camera explain how the system works and please answer these questions:
Which cameras are capable of catching you? Is it possible to identify them easily?
If you get caught by one of these cameras how do you receive your fine and pay it?
If you are given a fine but there is no evidence to substantiate the offence, is there anything you can do about it?

I haven't logged in for a while so I didn't know that this thread had developed further. I'd just like to add that I applied for my visa on a Monday and it was approved and sent to me on the Thursday so I was quite impressed with their efficiency.

I've just had my Non Immigrant O visa approved by the Thai Embassy in London and it only took four days to process which was efficient. I haven't been to Thailand since just before the Covid pandemic so I'm not aware of any new procedures in the visa application process. I've been sent a document that confirms approval of my visa and contains a QR code. It says that airlines may ask to see the document when they carry out checks but it doesn't mention anything about immigration once you get to Thailand. I'm assuming the old process of sending your passport to the embassy so they can put the visa in your passport has now been replaced with this system and this document is all I need at my point of departure from the UK and when I arrive in Thailand?

Yes you're right but thinking about it I'd probably be better off getting the Non Immigration OA because that allows me to stay much longer. It's my intention to move to Thailand permanently.

I've noticed that the embassy now require a "certificate of criminal record clearance" when applying for a Non Immigration O visa. Does anybody have any experience with this and know what the criteria is? Do they reject the application if you have any record whatsoever or are they only looking for recent offences that aren't considered "spent" in the UK judicial system?
