I did one three days ago in Hua Hin. I paid 500 baht and got it in 15 minutes. You go to the back row of rooms behind the main building. They are located in room #4. You will need your passport and two recent photos. The room next door #3 can take your photo (8 for 200 baht) and make copies of your passport main page, visa and latest arrival stamp. You then fill out an application form and wait for them to finish.

It is now low season so not many customers when I went. Totally painless.

100% correct. I went today to Room 4, took just 15 minutes. Didn't have to submit my yellow house book either, passport suffices.

  2. With a Thai partner, I love Khon Kaen. I think there's great European / Mexican food restaurants and a vibrant art scene. Plus we love plants so lots of great nurseries. Chiang Mai has too many busy tourists for me these days.

    The following rules are applying:

      • Fully vaccinated travelers will be issued a “Digital Travelers Card” (Blue Traveller Card).
      • Partially vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers will be issued a “Digital Home Surveillance Order (HSO)” for five (5) days (Red Traveller Card).
      • Travelers without a “Digital Travelers Card” or “Digital Home Surveillance Order” will not be permitted to continue travel.
    • Travel & Health Insurance with a minimum coverage of USD20,000 (for Short-Term foreign visitors

Good advice. I've been twice. The MySej app is easy to use, much quicker than ThailandPass. You can then get your COVID test within 24 hours either at the airport or any private clinic - I used the drive through tent at the KL Sentral arrival hall, where the airport train arrives. Immigration was a breeze too, no queues.
