SCB Planet Card How Do You Use It?
huyuli replied to Adumbration's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
I received OTP from SCB by SMS while in Australia for transactions using the SCB app. There was no charge. I have a DTAC postpaid account for which I pay every month via the DTAC app. -

Questions on re-entry process
huyuli replied to chrisdunn's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
1. Yes, Agoda. OK. Beware of hotels that will not refund on cancellation. Check the fine print. I didn't and paid the price. 2. Your papers are checked again. The ones that were checked at check in. Collect bags as normal. Ask to be the sole passenger in transfer vehicle during the booking process. I did and it happened. Put five bags in front seat, back seat and trunk. Bon voyage. -
Documents needed on arrival at airport
huyuli replied to markusss's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Thanks for that info. Is that a new rule and since when has it been in effect? Would appreciate confirmation from Ubonjoe or someone else. -
As prearranged, Citrus Hotel in Pattaya sent a car to tranfer me from Suvarnabhumi airport to the hotel where I received a PCR test on arrival. All done very expertly. I did request that I would be the only passenger and there was no extra charge.

I am hoping to receive a reply from an Australian citizen who traveled from Bangkok to Australia with a RAT. Where did you get the RAT and certificate to present at check in? Which airline did you use and what documents did you need to present at check in? Many thanks.

ATK Test to Return to the US
huyuli replied to donx's topic in Visas and migration to other countries
Thank you for this. I will be flying Thai Airways to Sydney in February. Can someone who has recently flown to Australia please confirm that he/she was able to travel with a rapid test result only, without a PCR test? Much appreciated. -
Last year I paid by using my bank app to read the QR code on the bill. I hope that it will be the same this year.

retirees - what do you have to look forward to?
huyuli replied to 1FinickyOne's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Yes, retirement is a great opportunity for learning. Next year I will be starting a post graduate course and living on a beautiful university campus. Happy retirement, everyone. -
Dear Glob From the way you write, you do not have dementia. If you want to confirm this, I suggest that you take the Mini Mental State Examination, which is available free online. At worst, you may have Mild Cognitive Impairment, but I doubt it. Anyway, have a shot and contact me for more information if you like. https://oxfordmedicaleducation.com/geriatrics/mini-mental-state-examination-mmse/ I also recommend this free online course. It will stimulate your brain and increase your knowledge about dementia. https://mooc.utas.edu.au/course/27 All the best.

Arrived at Citrus Pattaya for test and go on 7 December at 10.30 pm and got result at 9.30 am. Nurse was very gentle with the swab. Staff were efficient and friendly at check in and check out. Cheapest room was goodish. Meals, well... Got my Thai Pass approved in 48 hours. PCR test at Sydney airport took 50 minutes. Quick processing at Suvarnabhumi. Plenty of assistance and no confusion. Short wait for hotel transfer. Lone passenger separated by a plastic shield from driver. A little stressful at times because of uncertainty, but in the end, nothing to worry about.

Were you happy with your choice of Thailand Pass or SHA hotel?
huyuli replied to Scouse123's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
Best to read all the fine print in case it says no refund for cancellation. I didn't. I recommend Citrus Pattaya for honest dealing and promptness. -
Heading back to Australia where do l get my vaccine passport?
huyuli replied to Bruce1054's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
Hi Bruce Speaking from recent experience: The QR code on your Thai vaccination certificate is sufficient for the Australian Travel Declaration, The check in for your flight will require hard copies of your PCR test and Thai vaccination certificate. The yellow vaccination booklet is nice to have but not required. The Thai vaccination certificate can be used to obtain an Australian vaccination certificate when you get there. I got mine at a chemist that does vaccinations. There is no charge for the service, Bon voyage, -
Has anyone used the test and go at Jomtien Holiday Inn? How was the ride from the airport? Was it waiting when you arrived? Did you have to share? How was the PCR test and how long did it take to get the result? Here is the link: https://asq.in.th/aslq-thailand-hotels/jomtien-holiday-pattaya-chonburi-sandbox
