  1. Just to de-bunk some myths.

I dropped my iPhone in water a few months back.

They had to replace the battery and a logic board it cost me B5,000 and I had the phone back within a week.

Of course it wasn't done under warranty but then again dropping your phone in water is not covered anywhere in the world.

    Cheers

  2. Like a Mac PC I'm not interested. They may look cool, and work flawlessly, but other than that it's all hype.

What did the Romans ever give us , apart from the sanitation, the medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, a fresh water system, and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us? :o

    cheers

  3. I had probs with that location too, the amended one. :D

Graham, it looks like an oasis. Well done! :o:D

Is this right or have I made another hash of it?

Dare I say it looks in the middle of erm........ nowhere.

    Cheers

  4. Well to answer my own question.....

Seems the Imperial is quite nice , with great views located right at the Golden Triangle.

The Dusit is a bit long in the tooth.

Le Meridien is brand new and very nice.

I think my choice will be for the Imperial , though She that Shouts Loudest may lobby for the Le Meridien.

  5. IBC was the poison that converted UTV into UBC!

    Cheers

    Edit:

I originally had IBC (cable not microwave) and dumped it as soon as UTV came out.

They had all the same programs + PPV which was reasonably priced.

Then they joined or IBC bought UTV and the bastard child that was UBC seemed to be a combination of all the worst elements of both organizations!

    Edit 2

Now I think back you were correct about IBC being microwave, UTV were the ones that introduced the set top boxes.

  6. I have the Platinum package B2,300 / month and have given up trying to justify it.

All I use it for is to watch Football , F1 and the BBC news.

Her indoors watches E! channel and thats it , but to get this we have to have the Platinum package.

But UBC probably only provides about 10-20% of our viewing , the rest is torrented.

I am so ready to ditch UBC but have been procrastinating about it for about 5 years.

I still miss those halcyon days of UTV!

    Cheers

  7. or possiblily second hand

if you did not miss type.. then your looking for a 10 - 14 year old car.

With his budget he can buy a car with a value of around 360,000 over 6 years.

So he could get a new Suzuki pick up truck.

But He will have to up his deposit to at least 40k.

    Cheers
