Gotta love the misogynism so many ThaiVisa posters seem to exhibit. Not all Thai women are bar girls, whom I have nothing against. Each to their own.

Found a Thai lawyer in Lipa Noi who says that GF's case is particularly easy. He is submitting the relevant documents to the court today, says it should take about a month.

The "mounds of debt will be collected" from her, as soon as a Farang Groom has entered the scene.

100% without fail. The future looks bright for the Farang.

    happy days

Okay. I let her go. Thanks all. I followed my head and not my heart or dreams in my head.

Need to call my friends and family tomorrow morning.

i do hope you do let her go and move on. i see many post here and have herd many men talk the talk here but when it comes to walk the walk most men are not strong enough to dump their girl, dont be one of them dump her in time you will know you dont the right thing and you can be proud of yourself when you look yourself in the mirror. good luck time is a healer.

German tourist mentality: "Why is this truck overtaking in such a dangerous manner? Can't he see he's heading straight for me?" *smash*

Thai driver mentality: "Why doesn't that little motorbike get out of the way? Can't he see I am heading straight for him?" *smash*

their is definitely something wrong with these people i had one drive into the side of me as he was waiting to pull out, never even saw me and there were many cars in front and behide me.

Shortly after I married a Thai lady she went out with her female friends and didn't arrive back until 4am.

But I'd already put all her clothes in bin bags outside the door for her and locked all the doors and windows.

Found her sleeping on the doorstep next morning, there was a bit of drama when I unlocked the door, but she didn't do it again.

I also learned from the experience, now when I pay a woman a wage to live with me, I specify their working hours are all the dark ones. If they aren't with me after dark, their employment is terminated.

I don't care what they do in the day, glad to be rid of them in the daylight.

made me think of a situation i found myself in about 6 years ago.

started living with this Thai girl, 3 months into it we had a bit of an argument about 9pm one night she stormed off out of my house and never came back for 2 nights on her return all her bags were packed and i through her out also.

its the only way as i know if i did not do that that sort of thing would of continued, its almost like she was testing me to see who was the boss.

seen this sort of thing happen to many farangs here and they put up with that crap. i wasn't going to be one of them.

Buying a condo is crazy here, especially if you come from the UK with the Pound at 41. A nice one would cost 100-150,000 GBP !!! In a third world country.

do you think Thailand is still a third world country ?

The new high rises on 2nd road Jomtien seem to be empty. I definately wouldn’t buy or rent one. Lots of empty condos everywhere. I like the low rise , 8 floors max, nice sunny pools and a quiet environment, but also near public transport. Shame that Pratumnak has no baht bus. Lots of lovely condos there, but unless you have your own transport it’s a no no. As for prices, can’t see much difference myself. Living prices seem to be the same, imported food up a bit, but with the exchange rate so bad , no wonder. Sure, the exchange rate isn’t very important when you’re staying 2 weeks, but long term !!!! What I have noticed this December so far, is all the empty restaurants, I mean real empty! Where is everyone eating , home ?

i think the imported food thing is one big scam, imported rib eye steak 1590 baht a kilo then they reduce it and sell it for 900 baht a kilo just shows you how much mark up there is on foods.

It's been dirt cheap for 20 years. How long did you think that would last?

Shitty fan rooms on soi Buakhao are still cheap and that's what people refer to when they say rents are cheap but if you want nice you got to pay

as the man says you get what you pay for.

Just been involved in an accident where a Thai man with a 4 year old child sat in front of him on his old and bashed up motorcycle ( No helmets, no licence and no insurance ) ran into the side of my car from a minor side street , result fined 500 Baht and sent on his way

and no wonder they dont bother with licence and insurance.

Was the truck overtaking the motor bike or did the bike try to cut up the inside of the truck as so many do ?

Just saw the video of the bike trying to overtake the truck on the inside which was a major cause of this accident .

from what i saw the motor bike was under taking on the inside which in the UK is against the highway code so i see the bike rider in the wrong however there was enough room for the bike to move over when he saw that xxxxxxxxxxx big lorry. but these people dont see anything going on around them. very sad.
