  1. I'm using Mac 10.6.2 with a torrent app called Transmission. I'm trying to download a torrent file that has over 3000+ seeders right now and I'm getting speeds of barely above 10k/sec. I got an error message from the app saying it can't connect to my incoming data port which will result in a slower download.

So my question is how do I open my port? I logged into my G-Mesh modem and saw this but I can't figure out what to enter here.

  2. Is anyone interested in forming a Japanese study group? I plan on moving to Japan next year and would like to start learning the language. If anyone is interested in doing a Japanese/English language exchange please contact me.

  3. I was just at the Ducati factory last month and I asked about Rossi and they told me that the rumour was that he was asking for north of 20 million Euro and basically the entire race team set up for him. That's just the talk on the factory floor so take it for what it's worth.

  4. Thanks for your help trogers. When I log into the modem I can't find the setting for bridge mode. The modem I have is the G Mesh GM-301 so it's a single port wired modem. These are the menu options when I log in:

  5. After signing up with TOT a week ago and not being able to get online they finally sent out a technician today. After a couple of hours of him going back and forth with the head office he was able to get his PC online. However when I tried to get my MacBook Pro online I couldn't. The only way I could was to manually enter the DNS info that I got from logging into the router. Setting my network preferences to use DHCP the DNS it pulls up is 192.168.1.1 which is the generic one for the modem. Any idea on why it's not connecting with the automatic dns settings?

  6. I asked if they could send a technician out but they said they couldn't, something about the building being too new?? I used to live near Saphan Kwai and when ever I had a problem I would call the technician directly. Giving him a few hundred baht always solved my problem faster than dealing with the company office. Im living in the @City building and I read on another forum other tenants are having problems with tot as well.

  7. I called True and they said they can't set me up in my location. So I went to the TOT office in Carfour and set up an account. I've got everything plugged in but I'm not getting an IP address from TOT. I called the 1100 number and they said to call the office in Bang Na which I did but no where there speaks English.

According to the guy I spoke to originally at TOT everything should be working, at least on their end they say everything is fine but I still can't connect. I can log into the modem and run the diagnostic and it is showing that it is connecting to the isp but I'm not getting an IP address. Any suggestions on how I can solve this?

  8. I am a semi-retired Canadian travel writer who will be arriving in Bangkok in November and will be staying for 1 year. I am looking for a quite, clean, modern, safe, studio or 1br apartment close to a BTS station. I don't have to be right on Sukhumvit but I don't want to be way out in On Nut either. In the past I've stayed in a modern Lumpini building near Ari Station and enjoy that very much. The flat must be furnished, have air conditioning and high speed internet access and a kitchen.
