The only real Doners you find in Berlin, Germany. The Doner capital of the world.
Yessir and nowhere else!
Missed them often since living in LOS.
Or... is it another business idea (just to be copied asap as usual here...)

left of the entrance to Makro thereis a store selling a lot of machines for cooking and baking. Seems to be a branch of a Bkk business. Just ask them!
Also go for Yok-Bakery (YOK-Intertrade), I bought a nice gas oven there two years ago.

Linux - Users please wait? ;-)

Imagine, there is a school, they told their employees to vote for PPP, otherwise the kids would get free education and there wouldn't be enough money for acceptable sallaries for teachers and employees. So the whole school ticked PPP...
Happened in the North? I can't believe! ;-)

Sorry, but I can't held my breath:
What the h.... is the reason to rave this fantastic machine with this holey op sys from Redmont, US?
Already the built-in Xandros-Linux is working perfectly with the given hardware, not to mention that one can use different derivates of Linux, also there is already eeeXbuntu ready for download, especially built for this nice pocket-PC.
IMHO this machine is (among other things) specially made for surfing the web hassle-free, without setting up monstrous firewalls, spyware-catcher, trojan-detectors and whatever else it needs to surf the net with "Redmonts best".

Ok, I just gave it a try on my big screen, up to now I only used it's own one.
Great, thanks for taking the time for the update.
Anyone seen the 8gb version anywhere?
Only rumors. But prices of flash memory are declining rapidly, for example Kingston-stick 4GB 999.-Baht, 8GB Toshiba Pocket-Disk 1999.- and so on.
So, who cares?

Bought one 3 weeks ago Pantip BKK, pearl white, 4G, cam, 512MB, including VAT = 12700Baht. Upgraded to full desktop.
Only one word: fantastic!
I thought it might be an interesting device to use as a media center PC. Have you tried any movies on it, especially if connected to an external monitor? Speed issues, etc. All my movies are on an external USB drive and connected to a full size PC which I would prefer to free up for other uses. Also, would be easy to disconnect it and carry it with me when I need a travel computer.
Ok, I just gave it a try on my big screen, up to now I only used it's own one.
That's, what I found out: It works up to a resolution of 1280 x 960, (1650 x 1050 did not work although you could choose this resolution, but there is not even a recognizable screen....). I tried all kinds of files like mpg (DVD on harddrive in this case), m4v, flv, and mp4 as well as DVD from an external drive. All works well, mostly also with maximised window - but not as well in full-screen mode, there you'll get some jerking, only mpg-files are doing well.
In my opinion this tiny little machine is very usefull as travel media center, I by myself get a lot of staff downloaded from miro, put it on an external USB drive and have enough fun for the time being away from home.
One thing: When fresh, the EEE rejected mp4 and m4v format, but I just installed vlc and everything was fine.

With beer that cheap, it makes you wonder what is in it. I certainly hope it is nothing associated with removing paint.
Not really, but too much and private evening is gone...

Chang Beer - best of all - 3 bottles (large ones) = 95 Baht: still in San Sai/Chiang Mai! Love that stuff!

Our1.8 year old best boy ever gets Thai from Mama, German from Papa, but also English from both of us as well as from friends or customers.
Until now no problems, we'll see, when he starts with real sentences.
Up to now he always uses the easier to pronounce words - and that are mostly Thai ones...

Oh, how DO I love my Ubuntu...

Time ago I overclocked my AMD-CPU, Video-converting didn't work, also some games crashed.
After going back to given rates everything worked perfectly...

Saw them at the shop just left of entrance of Computer PlazaComputer World (don't know the exact name), the last (most East) of the three Computer Places on Northern side of the moat, Mani Noppharat Rd.
Different types, reasonable prices.

Using Puppy since last year as Internet-PC at one of our restaurants, no virus, no spyware - and no complaints ever from our customers, although it's only an old 800Mhz machine. Old PC and Puppy: a really failsafe and fast solution, a reanimation for older hardware! Enjoy!

Congratulations and only all the best for you and your family!
We've got our baby-boy last year - best experience ever!

A podcast is a collection of digital media files which is distributed over the Internet, often using syndication feeds, for playback on portable media players and personal computers. The term, like "radio", can refer either to the content itself or to the method by which it is syndicated; the latter is also termed podcasting.
