me and my friends were drunk tonight. we bought a couple of beer leos and wrapped them in a plastic bag and snuck them right past the BTS security guard. it was classic. we then drank them on the bts railway by standing behind that little building in the middle. we finished them off and chucked them on the bts and quickly boarded. a couple of thais saw us and all they could do was smile and laugh. i think one of them waied us.

the point is that thais appreciate farang walking around with 18 year old gfs because they want to their culture to be more open but dont know how to go about it. that is one reason why they love farang so much.

really? I dont know I am always kind of surprised that the girls working in these designer stores are usually older and not very attractive. In Hong Kong and Singapore, these are some of the best places to pick up girls, but in Bangkok, not so much.

I find it VERY unlikely that JT has a Thai Chinese wife. If a farang has a Thai Chinese wife, he doesnt have to brag about it. Whenever you see someone bragging about something online, it probably isnt true. As to answer you orginial question, yes I have a Thai Chinese wife and yes people do make these type of comments. I agree with Heng, it is because the Thai Chinese are more beautiful and wealthy which means that they are also more likely to be well educated. Go to Siam Paragon. The customers have light skin and the people working there have dark skin.

I cant believe my thread got closed. Not matter what you post in these young-old relationship threads, it's certainly true that all the posters here are interested in sex. Some posters are envious while others are smug about what they are getting. It's a keeping-up-with-the-Jones story only when it comes to sex some people can't 'compete' sexually as they are bound in some way. As one side enjoys one of the best things in nature, the other side looks on with jealousy and frustration tied down by society's view of morality. We will never be happy with what we have.

Why on earth would anyone spend so much time attacking people who are happy with their lives? The attackers must be unhappy. Why? They obviously don't have something they want.

It also defines many laws and most social attitudes in Thailand far beyond supposed sneering at farangs (which if it happens is actually very rare)

I just want to comment again that I agree with Somtam about Buddhism's role in these relationships and why Thai people view them as good. To quote my friend who was sitting with me in a cafe when a 65 year old farang in beach attire walked in with his teenager wife. 'na rak, na? na rok thee-soot'. this is the most common reaction ive seen.

put 100 Thai men in a room and theyd never come up with something as PC correct and silly as the above. only 100 farang men could come up with something so incorrect and juvenile.

JT you are full of it. there have been studies where thousands of women were hypnotized and told to select the sexiest male. the 80 year olds scored the highest, followed by the 70 year olds and then the 60 year olds. for millions of years, it was the older men who had the power and controlled the women. young men worked under them. that is why ALL women have a subconscious fondness of older men and are most sexually and physically satisfied by them.

it is because of Buddhism and thai culture that allows thai women from isaan to openly show their feelings for these men. western society is much more controlling and will not accept this nature. the young men hate the older men, but in Buddhism older men are more respected.

also, i have seen tons of thais stop farang-thai couples with 30 year age gaps and comment on how sweet they look. ive seen people stop and ask to take a photo and say 'na-rok na-rok'. Thai people view these couples like they view teenagers, they think they are so sweet.

don't listen to these guys. marrying fast is common in thai culture because they are buddhists. i believe that you can get married almost immediately after your divorce has been finalized by the us government offices.

if you have children, you probably need to take care of this before you come to thailand, although many men decide its best to leave the kids in america because thailands culture is different and they have a hard time adjusting.

My friend once told me this story.

He was sitting in a bar after a long week of teaching english when two farang ladies came and sat in the bar close to him. they initiated conversation, but he was not interested in them. they seemed confused about this. they asked him why farang men love thai women more. well he said, farang men like thai women because they are more beautiful and have better personalities. but then he had a change of heard and asked one of the western women if she wanted to go back to his apartment on soi on-nut, and she said no. well then he said, if you dont want to go to my apartment than what are you doing talking to me. you dont want me but you still want my attention like a little dog? i hate all western women who not give me any, i love thai women they know i am farang and powerful. i dont approve his next move, but he slapped this farang women across the face with his hand, then he called out one of the girls numbers to let her know he selected her and left the bar.
