  1. Hi all,

I really need somebody's help here, I am married to a Thai and we have had twin girls a month ago, who are great and I love them very much.

My problem, I am working as a teacher and am really not making ends meet. I am getting deeper into debt and am really getting worried.

I have about fifteen years international trading (import and export) experience but chose the teaching job because that was the easiest to find in a short time as I needed an income.

I would appreciate any advice or direction..... Thank you kindly

  2. I'm originally from Dundee, Scotland and came to Thailand via London, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Dubai, Switzerland, London - again, Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia - again, Dubai - again and have been here since November 2002.

    Where is Scotland?

  3. I work as a teacher for a private English program school just outside Bangkok; we have around 20 special needs students in the school. About three have shadow teachers with them in all classes that had been arranged by the parents. The school does not charge parents extra and actually welcomes this approach from the parents.

All teachers, Thai and foreign, are very sympathetic and caring in the teaching of special needs students, at my school. “S” you should look around more before giving such a broad spectrum negative answer. There are very good schools in Thailand that give very good if not better individual care to special needs student. I think even better than some that I have seen in Europe.

Your relative would not need a work permit at my school and I am sure at many others as long as you come to some amicable agreement with the school. IM me if you would like to discuss further.

  4. Hi all,

My Thai wife is due to give birth to our twin girls, we use to go to a hospital in Bang Wua for the monthly check-up and probably would have had the babies delivered there, but we have now moved to Samutsakorn, Bangkok and she will have to change over to this government hospital as it is the closest.

We have not had a chance to go to the hospital yet, so I was wondering if anybody has had any experiences with dealing with the government hospitals and then also what are the costs invoved.

  5. Dear all, Your help will be very much appreciated. I am married to a Thia wife and got a non "O" visa in September of last year, which expires now September this year. Well subsequently my passport has been stolen, I went to my embassy and got a temporally replacement passport valid for 1 year. But now I have no stamps or visa I have read in previous posts that I should go Suan Phlu (immigration bureau). My question is, will they give me another non "O" visa or what stamp / visa will they give me? :o

  6. Hi all, I found myself a beautiful Thai wife who un-expectantly fell pregnant, we went to the doctor to check things out but he referred us to a gynecologist because of her age, apparently 32 is old to have a child in Thailand. Well the Gynecologist checked the blood which was all fine, then did a scan. He showed me on the screen where my baby was, then moved up and there is your other baby. You can imagine the shock and pleasure I felt TWINS!!! . Can anybody please direct me or advise me of any information or give guidance about raising twins. Does anybody know where I can get inexpensive or used baby things, I mean I am looking at double everything now. Or I would greatly appreciate if you could let me know if perhaps you have any unused baby things. My wife is five months now and I’m on meekly teacher salary so help will be really appreciated.

    Lawrence :o:D
