    I decided that today I would count just how many best burger threads there have been on the Chiang Mai forum alone over the years. Then I decided I would not bother as that would be very sad and mean my life was desperately missing something! So I went back to bed. ????

    With regards to Thais and there knowledge of where they are on a world map. There is a movie starring Yul Brynner that may still be banned in Thailand but it shows a teacher showing children a map of the world and how it relates to the location of Thailand. Just a movie but the kids reaction says it all.

    What is the penalty when you get caught? I assume you would have to return the excess amounts received at the very least?

    Huge fines on the landowners not those that simply work the land, sadly the landowners are the elite and those in power so that won't happen Thankfully the last 3 years have not been too bad thanks to unseasonal rainfall but the minute it stops the burning starts again.

    Had a similar problem with fake info for income related to extensions of stay and embassies not notarising same. That turned out well did it not? I guess what you are suggesting is illegal or could lead to problems for those who "do it right"?

    The super duper app on my super duper phone has forecast rain almost every day during the past week or so in Chiang Mai and we have had only one downpour,at least in our area. Hope they are right that more is on the way. Quite possible as my super duper app on my super duper phone shows sunshine for the next 10 days!
