Prince Andrew settles out of court.
Thailand replied to Chomper Higgot's topic in UK & Europe Topics and Events
“Would you sleep with a stranger if he paid you $1,000,000?” the lawyer asked the pretty defendant. “Yes.” “Would you sleep with him if he paid you only $100?” “Certainly not! What do you think I am?” “We’ve already established what you are,” came back the lawyer. “Now we are trying to establish to what extent.” -

Chiang Mai Air Quality and Pollution
Thailand replied to Cheesekraft's topic in Air Pollution in Thailand
Unless Prayuth is responsible for the unseasonal rains that has reduced the burning for some of the time probably not. With a bit of luck more rain coming in the next few days to dampen the enthusiasm of the arsonists. -

Chiang Mai Air Quality and Pollution

Have a wild guess as to which mountain it may be based on your knowledge of having been in Chiang Mai for many years. As for where I am? There was a clue in the thread title. -
Chiang Mai Air Quality and Pollution
Thailand replied to Cheesekraft's topic in Air Pollution in Thailand
You were obviously not where I was this morning, stink of burning and the mountain starting to disappear. And I guess the AGI at that time was incorrect? Unless we get the rain that some other places are getting we are couple of weeks away from 200 plus! -

Three weeks had a young Thai guy on a motorcycle rip off the rear right side of my bumper whilst he was dodging in and out of traffic at high speed as they do. He was very lucky sustaining cuts and grazes. No helmet, flip flops, no insurance, no ID but he was wearing a mask! Police on the scene quickly, motorcyclist was whipped away by one of "those" ambulances. My ID was taken from me by a senior police offer who had decided to come to the scene of a minor traffic accident and I was told to go to the local police station to see him and make another statement after the insurance guy had evaluated the scene. The "local" police station was 15 miles away! Arrived at the police station with the insurance assessor and went in to the office of the senior police officer. The insurance assessor pointed out to the officer that my car was absolutely straight in the lane and that my car was stationary waiting in traffic when hit by the motorcyclist, in addition I had front and rear cameras. Then I went home and prepared to get the car fixed.
