  1. Having previously owned a Corolla and Yaris ATIV, I really appreciate my Yaris Cross Premium's 210mm ground clearance, especially living in a flood-prone rural area. Considering its popularity and being a relatively new, ASEAN exclusive model with limited English online support, a dedicated discussion topic here might be beneficial.
  2. 'Source for that or are you just spreading unsubstantiated rumours?'
  3. Wasn't there already a deal—JCPOA—that NATO allies and the UN backed, which Trump broke in 2018? Iran was in compliance per the IAEA, but Trump pulled out and reimposed sanctions. Now he's giving them a two-month ultimatum for a new deal after being the one who scrapped the last one? Seems like a mess of his own making. Kind of like his so-called ‘historic’ Middle East peace deals—agreements between countries that weren’t even at war, while ignoring Palestine. And now Israel-Gaza ceasefire broken, and with Gaza still in flames. And let’s not forget his ‘end the Ukraine war in one day’ promise—still waiting on that miracle too. Trump: A foreign policy stable—unstable genius.
  4. That was definitely a close call, and your brain seems to have gone into full cinematic mode with the time dilation and life-flash effect. It’s a well-documented response to extreme situations. What was previously discussed, though, is that ‘near-death experience’ (NDE) in the strictest sense usually refers to cases involving clinical death—like OBEs during cardiac arrest. Your experience was undoubtedly intense, but it falls more into the category of a high-adrenaline survival response rather than the classic medical NDE. IMHO
  5. Many posters seem to have missed that 'near-death experience' is an idiom, not a strictly literal term. A good example of an NDE is an out-of-body experience (OBE) during resuscitation or a critical medical event, such as cardiac arrest.
  6. I haven’t had an NDE, but I once had a vivid experience during deep meditation that felt completely real, until I later recognized it as a lucid dream or a hypnagogic state. The brain can create incredibly immersive experiences, especially under stress. For context, the hypnagogic state is the transitional phase between wakefulness and sleep. It’s when you’re just starting to drift off, blending wakeful awareness with dream-like experiences. This state can produce vivid hallucinations, such as flashes of light or phantom sensations like floating or falling. Some people even experience creative insights in this phase, and it’s often used by lucid dreamers to enter dreams with awareness. That’s how I see NDEs, more likely a neurochemical response than proof of anything beyond. The common themes, light tunnels, out-of-body sensations, align with what we know about the brain under extreme conditions. It doesn’t make the experience any less profound, but I lean toward a physiological explanation.
