All was looking good until this clanger:
"However, Kanit added that getting a qualified candidate for the CFO job would be made more difficult because it attracted a lower salary than similar positions at other large companies."
Surely if you want to get someone good who can make tough decisions independantly, you would invest in them with an appropriate salary, in order to steer this ailing airline back into profitability?

Internet teaching is another option to supplement your income. I regularly make $500-$1,000 per month without trying too hard and have students from around the world. You can choose the hours and work comfortably from home too!

Tom, we live in San Pu Loei near Doi Sukhet which is very family friendly, close to farms and open spaces, but also not far from Big C. It has a good little village shopping area and is very quiet and safe. Only problem at the moment is you need transport (car or bike) as there is virtually no public transport there.

I flew Air Asia in January WUH-DMK-CNX and CNX-DMK-WUH in March. All 4 flights were half full and I had 3 seats to myself (Standard Class seating), so it was very comfortable. When I asked the cabin crew on both WUH flights if it was because of the demos, they just nodded but said nothing.

Will the people who build this receive kickbacks and will sub-standard building products be used, meaning (as per usual practice) the rebuilding will ACTUALLY cost 25%, ie 6,000,000-4.500,000=1,500,000???

Do American and Australian Chinese restaurants have 'chop suey' on their menus or is that just a UK Chinese restaurant dish? I know you'll never find it in China!

Some Aussie Chinese restaurants still have Chop Suey, but it really is a dish from the 60s and 70s

I think American style Chinese food would be the same as Australian Chinese food (same dishes). I notice that the Shanhai-Lo has "Orange Chicken", but my favourite is Lemon Chicken. My Chinese students always laugh when I tell them that.
My 2nd favourite would have to be the sweet and sour pork that is in the picture.
Damn, now I'm hungry!!

A real Aussie burger needs beetroot....just a suggestion for you.
I had a burger and fries at that joint on Nimmenhaimen 2 years ago, and it tasted so good after not having a burger for 2 years. That afternoon the rumblings started and I was crook as Rookwood for the next 3 days-I have never had a burger since.
Before I left Oz in 2005 I used to love the Ogallo's Portugese chicken burger with ginger and chilli sauce-SUPERB!

Dog Attack
in Phuket
Throw some meat laced with paracetamol over the fence! Sorry to hear about your wife, imagine if this was a small child!

Unless it was a large dose of pannadol, which would cause liver failure, what effect would the pannodol have on a big dog.
A famous expression is: "A bullet only costs 20 cents......" Pitbulls and other fighting breeds should not be allowed to exist-full stop.

I have today tried a few times, but my wife won't get rooted.

I am flying home to CM via DMK on Tuesday. My Thai wife said that if I do not listen to or read the news, then I will have nothing to worry about.

The men were charged with section 309 of the Criminal Code, which carries a penalty of up to three years imprisonment, a 60,000 baht fine or both.
Interesting that if you bash a farang, it is a slap on the wrist and a 500 baht fine!

Some of you are mentioning the possibility of the rabble closing down Swampy. Do you think they would close down DMK too? I have a selfish reason for asking, as I am flying into CM via DMK to see my family after working elsewhere for 10 months and would hate to be delayed or stranded in the other country or at DMK.

What is needed is a sign saying "Beware of falling signs".
What a disgrace the workmanship is. I hope he recovers soon, and is not out of pocket.

A good report RikDao. I quite liked Vientienne when I went there for a Non-O for marriage visa last year, and I too had an easy and uneventful time doing everything myself. I had downloaded and pre-filled a form, but the tuk tuk dropped me at the card table outside the Embassy wall and the man thir insisted I had an old form and filled me out a new form for 100TB and also tried to sell me his expertise for getting my visa, but as i said it was very easy doing it myself. The only hassle was the LONG queue at the border trying to get back in to Thailand.
I also recommend having a bit of a holiday in Laos

Time for Foreign Embassies (Russian and Chinese especially) to protest severely to Yingluck and publish on their websites warnings about the TRUE risks for all tourists and visitors to Thailand.
-
R.I.P to the foreigners and Thais killed and Godspeed to the injured, especially the 9 year old Russian boy in ICU.
The Thai way seems to be to not prevent bad things from happening (in Buddhas hands?) then blame it on the spirits or the Ferangs when bad things happen.
That is what it is like in my household too, and so when these things continually happen in Thailand, I just wish the penny would drop with someone in a responsible position to say "ENOUGH!" We WILL do something to stop this from happening again.
Yet another senseless waste of lives again.............

Go to Makro on the Superhighway or any Big C in Chiang Mai for all the items that you mentioned and compare between the 2 stores. One stop shopping=easy-peasy!

You should learn more in one year of teaching than the TEFL. Seems like a waste of time and money, unless you really want the certificate.
Puyai, a lot of places require you to have a face-to-face TEFL certificate of some sort. I would not employ a teacher without one, and not someone with an internet based one either, so the OP should get his TEFL certificate.

Sydney has now just gotten rid of its monorail, which was a good way to travel for tourists, but also an eyesore.
Isn't there already a monorail in CM zoo??
Surely you must worry about it...........
