Called 'Paitoon' and he/they sent their guys around within 30mins. Serviced it; Checked the gas - didn't need any; and fixed a broken plastic bit inside that was making a noise. They were here about 30mins - 600bht. I'll definitely be using them again.

Give them your passport and the money (nothing else needed). Pick it up from them when they tell you to. Simple.

I was answering the original poster who mentioned Siam Country Club so he is in Pattaya. If you lived miles away then yes, you would have to get the passport to an agency somehow.

Why not get one of the Visa agencies to do it for you ?? I did mine that way 3 months ago and it cost 200bht. No big deal unless money is really tight.

I took a screenshot of the online form I originally filled in and have been using that as a reference ever since. I have entered nothing different and used calendars and search buttons every time - and had 3 rejections.

Something has changed in the online system and a lot of people are experiencing the same rejection reason. I have successfully reported online for well over a year entering only the 'Date entered Thailand' field which is mandatory - the 'visa expiration date' I've left blank as it has always been optional and still is. Entering the date you suggested in your post - 'extension of stay permitted up to ....................' still ended up with a rejection.

The entry date I understand but do you mean the date your one-year retirement visa expires or the date your next 90-day report is due ??

Thanks UKResonant. That's what concerns me. My registered phone number is a UK landline and I only have a Thai mobile (which IS listed in my internet banking account). I've heard these 'one time codes' are hit and miss as to whether or not a Thai mobile will receive them. I've had problems with them not arriving before. I posed this question because in another thread someone said he was told by a NW staff member that card readers would be phased out at some point. This is a bit disconcerting if you can't set the mobile banking app up and even more so if you don't own a smart phone, wherever you live - and yes some older folks don't like them and don't use them.

I posed this question on another thread but it got swamped by other comments so here goes (again). Has anyone any experience with the Nationwide Banking app on a Thai mobile. Can you do it and what hoops, if any, do you have to jump through to get it working ?? Thanks.

Been reading this thread with interest. Can you use the mobile app in Thailand using a Thai phone number ?? If so, do you have to contact NW to get some details in order to log on or do you just have to ensure your Thai number is listed in the contact details ?? Thanks.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I don't really want to get a UK sim. I'd have to get another phone for a start 'cos I already have 2 Thai SIM cards in my phone. Ok I could keep swapping sims whenever I needed to use it.

I haven't had the need to get an OTP from the UK until now. So I don't know.

OK thanks Gaccha I'll look into that. I spoke with AIS & CAT and they both said no blocks were in place and they had received no messages from the UK. So much for that !!
