No more Seatran Ferry Samui-Phangan
i don't say Samui - Phangan.......
but there is a Ferry from Donsak - Phangan...
so what is the solution for people like the OP in this case:
take your lovely bike from Samui to Donsak and from Donsak to KPN......so easy.
If this way is to difficult or to expensive......take the regular boat to KPN and rent a bike there

Can I take my motorbike across to Koh Phangan for a few days, I asked at the pier place next to catcando but they say no. I live near choeng mon so the closer the better. Also if someone know of a service that can take motorbike, schedule? cost? (or a link to website?) Thanks in advance
1. no bike (for rent) leave this island.
2. why don't take the Seatran-Ferry? (if its your own bike)

Hi! Need to buy a new mouse for my computer as my current one has decided to stop working. I am not looking for a simple 300 baht mouse that I can get at Tesco. I want a little more quality. Is it possible to get it here on Samui? If so, where do I go? Where is my best bet to get a descent mouse? Thanks!
why don't buy a LOGITECH-MOUSE at Tesco Chaweng?

Look, I am going to cop a lot of criticism for what I am going to say, but I don't really give a, f'ing dam_n. Thailand is a third world country, and behind all the gloss and glamor that you might see in the society pages of the Bangkok Post, it all a facade. Thailand will always be a poor south east asian nation riddled with filthy corruption that is rotting it to the core. I don't say that to be inflammatory, but it is the god dam_n truth. When you have a country where 50 or so people can be killed in an inferno (NY eve, Santika Club) and no one is near being close to being held accountable, then do you really think you will make in roads with regards to road safety? hel_l no ... Road safety doesn't even rate a mention in the grand theme of things ... oh by the way mai pen rai ...
....i like your statement so much!
it's so true...

Ehhh, open Sundays? Please post a scan of your visa. Don't try to fool people., please.
I was just in Kota Baharu Malaysia last week and got my Non B one year Multiple visa in one day. No hassle and no agent. I did it my self. 5,000 baht Easy…. The Embassy is closed on Friday and SaturdayFor one year non-B in Penang your company must have 8 million baht registered capital. Kuala Lumpur is best for 1 year non-B, but you must have at least 8 months validity in your work permit.Chayaphum

Today I filled up in Chaweng 2x30baht bottles, the road that ajoins at diagonal level within the Chaweng-ChoengMon-Bophut ringroad, the one where the massage palour shout sex man consistently and all the garages offer 30baht gasolines versus the usual range of 35-45 (not including filling stations). Never again, its watered down, can just about start the ignition but have 0-5% throttle, about to leave it a 7/11 but next door have motorbike shop, guy tell me gasoline bad, but he gave me a bike to get home and told me come back tomorrow so lucky. But grrr... maybe my bike more sensitive than others to crap gasoline but annoying nonetheless, a heads up to others.
Maybe they have sold you gasohol 95 or benzine 91 stretched with water.
New business, profit increase during the low season....selling gasoline with 16% water.
1000ml benzine 91 = 36.95THB (13.09.2009 at PTT)
Value of a bottle with 700ml = 25.87THB
They sell it for 30THB.
Profit per bottle: 4.13THB
Value of a bottle with 600ml = 22.17THB
They sell it for 30THB.
Profit per bottle: 7.83TH
this is an increase of profit about 90%, just made with 16% water stretched benzine 91.
just a guess from me, no must be as i written above.....

Just heard next month on the 13th there is to be another election, one that is every 4 years and across the whole country, anybody getting bored of the elections now ?
No, i dont get bored about these elections here.
The only thing that bothers me are those stupid oversized billboards that spoiling our nature.
What dou you fear?
Perhaps that it is forbidden to sell alcohol again and the bars will be closed......
Solution for tourists: Take a sleeping pill that works 2days, after wake up.....the elections are over and the bars open again.
Solution for Bar-owner: take it as it is or move to another country where there are no elections with alcohol sales ban during the year.
The future will be even more harder in Thailand

Are you all owners of a bar or alcoholics here on ThaiVisa?
What's the problem if sometimes there is no alcohol to buy?

I am returning to Thailand from where I work and I wanted to "go to the beach". I was thinking of Koh Samui. Phuket is out of the question as it has gone a little too busy for me and all the other problems it seems to be having. Is Koh Samui the place to go? I want a nice quiet place where I can relax and see water and trees...I really miss trees. Chan Am? Any suggestions would be neat, thanks. First we have to go Phitsanuloke as we are either buying or building a house up there but that is another story. The wife wants the beach.
"The wife wants the beach." thats sounds funny, you mean "The wife wants the house". But that is another story
I can recommend you this:
Naiplao Beach (Khanom) i like this place so much for relaxing.....check worldwideweb naiplao.com
or another very nice place "Samila Beach" (Songhkla)
