This bike has been on sale in uk for more than 2 years and has had good all round reviews. I have tested and it is a little small for my taste, I mean size, not cc. Latest price today is £4295, before discounts and 0% finance.

This is a good bike but personally I would want something with a little more class/cache.

What happens if your condo developer refuses to have an AGM or does not reply to any emails? or meeting of any kind?

I feel they have something to hide.

Sinking fund still there? Used it for something else?

Maintenance of condo etc. shouldn't owners be informed of any money spent on the condo?

Are the Vios' in the showrooms now E-10 or E-20?

I have a 2003 Vios Type S Sporty. Is the 1.5S Limited the new equivalent?

All Vios are now E 20.

My reliable sources within Toyota (reliable enough for me to place an order earlier this week) told me that E10s of "current" models are being produced through February, and E20 production will begin in March. My sources are with Toyota, not with a Toyota dealer.

Your source is indeed reliable as the other day my local dealer where I've ordered the E20 told me they won't be produced until March and the E10 will continue to be produced through February.

Presumably they received a good number of orders for the E10 based on the price drop and the options.

My dealer also said that the E20 will be the same price as the E10.

Norman, there is another development by a similar name located near to the tennis courts at the Royal cliff. It is called 'The Lofts Pratumnak' which is not the same as Raimon Land's 'The Lofts Southshore'. The former is from what I can gather, a 6 storey low-rise. When I went past the other day, they were pouring the foundations. I suspect this is a lot cheaper than Lofts Southshore.

There is no 7 or 8 storey rule as such and is not applicable for Raimon Land's project because of the location. Restrictions do apply however at places near the Royal Princess' house on Pratumnak (and differ depending on the distance 50M, 250M and so on) and also distance from the shorelines etc. Elsewhere in Pattaya, some developers favour the 7 storey buildings because they don't have to attain special EIA approvals from Bangkok for this height. They still however have to undergo the regular local planning permission and building permits at city hall etc, which isn't always straightforward either in some cases by some accounts (although take a look at the View Talay 7 thread in the Pattaya Forum and you may beg to differ).

One question springs to mind, how can such a large development be built which will obviously need massive infurstructure changes ie water, electricity, roads?

Our air here is extremely polluted, when compared with the european average standard.

Always try and wear a mask when on your bike and if like yourself live near a busy road, try and keep windows closed. This air we breath is full of unburnt hydro-carbons, oxides and sulphurs. It is not ideal, but then it is a price to pay of living here.

Just try and protect yourself from the worst of it.

Dont worry lung cancer etc takes years to develop and yes we do have an increased risk but it is still quite small, unless you walk the streets for hours on end everyday without protection.

Whats important for me is 1 thing-ABS.

All the Vios's have ABS.

But not all have airbags.

But the big question-

Is it worth it to wait for the E-20 ? after all I'm going to be with the car for at least 5 years so need to think about the future,especielly that I'm not in hurry.

2)will the E-20 will get some change in the design?

I saw an article in the BKK Post last week or so that mentioned how many PTT stations presently sell E20. I recall the number was approximately 20. Whatever the number was, it was insignificant (and I try to buy at Shell anyway). I also took a peek at the current price of E10 vs. E20. The difference was insignificant (but who knows what it'll be in the future?).

Very good "big question". I was fortunate enough to have my source confirm that, for the model I have ordered, there is no cosmetic change, just the engine change. Nevertheless, it certainly is a matter to consider and inquire about.

Yes i have just ordered an E10 with alot of options (free).

The saving was good and i am not worried about the engine mod (and thats all it is by the way) as it is just a tweek of the valve timing which can be done anytime in the future. There will be no body mods as the new vios hasnt been out a year yet.

I say order one now and save save save. Just do what i did and load it up with desirable options, so when you come to sell in 5 years or so it is more desirable then.

The Chevrolet Aveo was recently on display in a large supermarket, with a notice advertising "Interest Free Credit" The very pushy sales girl assured me that there was 4 years free interest, which interested me. She pressed for my telephone number so she could follow up, and I gave her an incorrect one to keep her quiet.

Later I visited the nearby Chevrolet showroom where I was initially told that interest free was limited to 2 years, then 5 minutes later this was reduced to just 1 year. My subsequent enquiries as to how long would I need to wait for a new car met with shrugged shoulders, and "maybe 3 months - maybe more".. My enquiry as to whether they produced a blue Aveo met with a negative response, yet I was able to show them a brochure clearly showing a blue one!

I took the matter up with Chevrolet direct by e-mail, and they were just as useless. They were unable to confirm the length of the interest free credit, merely telling me that it would depend on my credit worthiness and that I should fill in an application for a loan at my local branch. What a load of rubbish! I am very familiar with the workings of finance houses, and the Chevrolet finance house is GM finance (an in- house company) A customer must of course satisfy the finance house that he is credit worthy, but the interest free promotion is an arrangement between the manufacturer and finance house and has nothing to do with credit worthiness.

Forget Chevrolet and stick to Honda and Toyota. They know what they are doing in my experience

Yer right, anything american here is just a waste of time unless you like wasting money. As you say stick to Toyota or Honda.

I have finally cancelled the lot, i had UBC in 3 rooms and the boxes as said before were crap.

There is a sign at the traffic lights on the junction of Pattaya Dai and 3rd road. It says satellite tv for 7440 baht 300 channels, one payment thats it, anyone know or have this service.

I called the number but no answer, another con?

Finally ordered a new Vios E model from a dealer in Rayong because i was so tired of the way i was treated at a dealer on Sukumvit. i got a miles better deal for less money and was treated really well. looking back i cant believe i went to a local dealer here in pattaya. so my advice to anyone wanting to buy a toyota go out from pattaya and you see the real thailand as we know it from before.

i got 12 accessories in with the deal together with the new toyota pricing on the vios which was 584 000. cant grumble at that. it will take about 4 weeks to arrive.

I will even take it for a service there.

This is a great country.
