  1. Thanks for replys guys, its one of the first things i've ever bought in Thailand that does what its supposed to do, mind you it ought to look good considering the hassle i had getting it painted and carrying half way round the world !!!

Regarding the red temp plate, as you said its a shame the original plate isn't the same size instead of the dinner plate which i'm soon to recieve. Its possible to have them cut down but the embossed logo in the bottom right corner must not be touched. Anyway it was worse when i lived in Singapore, had to show license plate on front also, talk about killing the look (see attached pic of my baby)

To NormanW... judging from your avatar i take it you have Orange also, have you made enquiries about who can colour match yet, seriously, as my bloke in UK said its a biatch to get right...

Rickster, I'm still undecided what colour to get and to add to the dilemma I think Kawasaki green is coming in October.

    Oh man!

  2. Attached pics of the seat cowl, opinions and views welcome, good or bad!!!!

    Looks GREAT!

So good in fact that one of your pictures is now my wallpaper on my laptop!

    Copyright Rickster of course hehe.

Thanks and let the good times roll.

Can't wait to get mine even more now, arhhh!

  3. maybe a rumour. ER6N with ABS in Thailand due Sept @ 250,000. Green, Orange, Black

OK green one in October then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Come on let's ave it!

Might need my water proofs, yer can't win man!

    Living the dream.

  4. Hey.Kata. What colour bike are we getting. Black or Orange? Not sure about the Orange after seeing Liam's vinyl work on his black one. I think the black lends itself more to a bit of vinyl.

    Allan

Longer waiting time for a black one.

    Arhhhhh!

  5. No need for fancy clinics for this...it's easy to do yourself. Here is what to do...when in the shower, turn off the water and remove the shower-head; turn the water back on and set the temp to very luke-warm; turn the water flow to barely more than a trickle; stick the end of the shower hose in your bum [you can lube it up with soap or shampoo if you wish); you will feel your colon slowly fill-up with water; after a few seconds...remove the hose and walk over and plunk yourself on the loo; push the water out and flush. Repeat this 2-3 times and you will be amazed at how good, "empty" and "alive" you will feel.

If you do this a couple times a week, you will feel great...no kiddin! :)

I know you probably have good intentions but have you seen the water quality here?

No way - I would prefer to use mineral water if I had it done.

I will go and ask what they use at the place near Fairtex.

  6. How is your Maxnet Premiere working?

I'm in Nonghoi district and mine is working like sh*t! I have to click on a link about 20 times to get it to load. The nice folks at TT&T gave me the usual suggestion of turning off my router for a while, which doesn't help. I think the problem is rain related. But they poo-poo the suggestion.

    Anyone else having troubles?

    Yes me to.

    I'm in Pattaya.

    Slow!

  7. Thanks N47HAN. That certainly answered my question and also means I will be looking into pvc when I get around to building. Cheers.

Glad to help Phrakanon , seem to remember you gave me some advice a year or two back that was extremely helpfull at the time :)

Euro UPVC came to measure up my balcony sliding doors on Thursday afternoon and I haven't heard anything since then.

I loved their product and service up until then.

They said they would email or phone me, nothing, very disappointed.

I will go and get a quote from ARC now.

    Regards

  8. Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the useful info you all been providing.

Still considering getting a Er6N from the Phuket Kawa shop.

Does anyone know what the waiting period is right now?

In Europe most countries put a restriction on horsepower on these bikes, I've read that Kawasaki uses a throttle restrictor.

Is this the case here in LOS?

    Thanks for your help.

    Rooster

    Hello Rooster,

I went into Mityon Pattaya the other day and they said less than 1 week for an orange one and no more than a month for a black one.

Looks like they are back on the production line, maybe Tony could shed some light on production now.

    Regards

    Norman

  9. On Sukhumvit just North of Siam Country Club on the East side of the road.

    Barry

Cheers Barry, on my way there now. :)

    Thanks again.

    Cost me 1500 baht.

Arh well at least I can now keep cool again.

Looking at it, it should only be 300baht , tops!

    You can't win!

  10. Hello All,

Anyone know where the Carrier air condintioning agent is in Pattaya?

I need to buy a new remote control as I dropped mine the other day and broke it.

It's getting hot so need A/C before I melt.

    Cheers

    Have a nice day.

    Norman

  11. Well......... I picked up my new new 650 today, in the shade of a well known fruit!

What a ride home!! After 3 years stop and starting to Sathorn from Bang kapi in the vigo....... a dream!

Tyres are well and truly scrubbed in and my wife has lost me for a few days whilst I .....investigate ....or "nip out to get milk from the furthest 7/11 possible!

    :):D

    Need some help though guys....

I'd like a manual in English (sorry if covered already) anyone seen a download....?

And.......My Wife would like to offer a swift kick in the nuts to all who have contributed to this post..... as it cost us 225'000bt :D

Rubber side down brothers and sisters!!

    Great stuff Glasshock.

    What colour did you get?

  12. Hola!

Back in Europe and thought that I should take on the possibility to buy some cheaper parts to tune up the engine a bit:)

I realized that I could more or less say good bye to the engine warranty if I mix with it, but does anyone know how it is with the insurance?

I have the Falcon/Lockton insurance. Does anyone know if a few more horsepower changes the validity of the insurance?

    Cheers

    12Gon

More than likely as the insurance companies will jump at any chance to void a policy.

    Up to you.

    :)

  13. first class Insurance is 13,000thou so 75,000 + 13,000 as down payment then 6,+++ a month over 2 years.

if you buy outright insurance is 7,250 (but the policy is not as good) well thats what Kawa say any way.

    Thanks for that.

    I guess 6,999 a month?

    Cheers thaicbr and apetley.

Looks like I will go for it very soon!! :)

  14. I can't wait any longer!

Anyone know what finance deals are available at Mityon Pattaya???????????

I can put 100k down tomorrow!

Work here, have work permit etc.

    Arh!!

    Help!

Trying to get the good times to roll!!!!!!!

  15. Teaching without any passion for the profession is a path to hel_l. Many other people have attempted what you plan, but those that are lucky enough to find a job (usually illegal) quickly find teaching grinds them down. If your only reason for wanting to be a teacher is that you want to stay in Thailand it will show in you in work; standing in front of a group of people and trying to get them to learn is no easy task. If you are determined to follow this path, I would suggest first getting some teaching experience in England.

    Here here, an ABSOLUTE must!

  18. Hello All,

I'm trying to track down a company here in Pattaya that tints balcony door windows.

All the responses I have had to date is "can do your car but not for your house".

Sick of the local ko san (builders) looking into my condo!

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    :)

  19. I also got the two bros fitted on my bike today, Mityon Pattaya charged me 200 baht which I thought was very cheap.

It is amazing, the bike sounds like a monster. You could probably be charged with "instilling fear in the public" or something similar with this pipe, I love it.

Unfortunately I only had about 5 minutes fun before the heavens opened, and I "toured home" at 80kph.

Mityon also lent me a D-Tracker for the day (I dropped my bike off at 9.30 this morning, picked it up at 2.30). I was utterly horrified with the lack of power on the D-Tracker. There was a Thai guy 2up with his girlfriend on a 2 stroke Nova Dash and he completely toasted me away from the lights. I would have been horrified if I had just paid 150K for it. The guy in the showroom said something about "limit speed" - I'm not sure if this one was specially restricted, or they are all like this but the most I saw on the speedo was 112 down a slight hill. It seemed to run out of steam in 5th gear, and doesn't need 6th at all. Overall though, I would say it is a better beginner bike than the ninja, due to lower down torque and the riding position.

On the ER6-N you are never going to be embarrased by a kid on a souped up scooter. The only thing thats getting away from me at the lights is an R1 or similar, but it ain't happened yet.

So all in all I'm delighted, the pipe changes the personality of the ER6N dramatically. Can't comment on performance gains yet as I haven't had chance to test it properly. Only with a good pipe do you realise how stifling the stock one is.

Finally I'd like to say a big thanks to Tony (BigBikeBKK), he has given me valuable advice, supplied me with the pipe almost instantly at a great price, and was even prepared to fit it for me. Without his support I wouldn't have been bothered to see this through, and IMO it is the single best mod you can do to the ER6N so cheers Tony, you're a fountain of knowledge and a great guy to have in our little ER6 corner :D

    Cheers,

    Aw shucks- :D you're too kind :)

Hope you enjoy the new Two Bros as much as I've enjoyed mine! Just watch out for the greedy coppers in Pattaya as they love trying to fine loud bikes, (but haven't caught me yet) :D

Wonder why you had to buy a new sensor? Mityon should have been able to use the original that was attached to your stock can. But oh well, only 400 Baht so no big deal.

Hope we can hook up for a ride soon! Kawasaki Bangkok is organizing a ride to Chantaburi on Saturday June 13th that should be a lot of fun if the weather cooperates. It will be mostly Vulcans, ER6n's, Ninjettes and D-Trackers. I don't know the actual route yet, but imagine we'll pass not too far from your neck of the woods, so hope you'll join us if you can!

    Happy Trails,

    Tony

    Hey Tony,

Glad to hear you are still as popular as ever.

I am still saving like crazy and also get a bonus towards the end of the year which will enable me to order my bike.

Can't wait to join in the fun.

    All the best. :D

  20. your bike does sound like it would be LOUD in person; the ER6 and Yamaha chasing what looks like a modifed KSR brought a simile to our faces.

    Cool, thanks.

^ LOL, yeah, quite funny to see that big Dutch guy on the tiny little KSR- but seems he has fun with it and that's what really counts! I had to try hard to not run him over :)

    Happy Trails!

    Tony

Yes Tony you should say sorry about that soundtrack!!!!!!!!

    hehehe.

I will join you there when i get mine.

  21. Picked up my Orange ER6N yesterday and would just like to emphasise, as other owners have, its a fabulous bike and worth every baht. Did about 80 k's today and the only small gripe would be the bars are slightly narrow and an extra inch on both sides would be perfect but only a minor complaint. Very torquey with great low end grunt and is the perfect all rounder to suit all kinds of rider........fantastic value bike.

    Best regards

Enjoy Rickster, how long did you have to wait in the end?
