( Methinks you are just a Manchester supporter but with a true allegiance to Rochdale). Please just accept that David Beckham was a remakably talented player along with others of his ilk.

Please let me just add a modicum of sense here.
As BJ knows, I have been a Manchester United supporter for nearly 70 years and I would like to remind people that football is, and always has been, a working man's sport. And is after all just a game. A game that one gives everything in the right spirit of fair play.
Manchester is an old industrial revolution town, growing primarily on it's cotton industry. I for one think that it is wonderful that 2 such remarkably talented clubs grew & coexist to this day.
To all those misguided souls, please remember that the two clubs can share a common path, let's not forget that during, and after the 2nd World War, they shared the same Maine Road ground, that one of of our greatest managers, Sir Matt Busby played for City ( and Liverpool) and that one of City's great goalkeepers, Frank Swift, died in the Munich Air Crash.
I have said my two-penny worth, suffice to say. "Long Live Football" played and supported in good spirits.

Billie Holiday's "Gloomy Sunday"
Sunday is gloomy
My hours are slumberless
Dearest the shadows
I live with the numberless
Little white flowers
Will never awaken you
Not where the black coach
Of sorrow has taken you-

You could perhaps try VIPRow, if you don't mind the odd buffering or the slightly dodgy site.

I would suggest paying for a good VPN service, one that enables you to watch Australian TV.
Then watch all the games on SBS TV.
Stream all 64 matches of the FIFA World Cup 2022™ live and free with SBS On Demand, and watch full replays, mini-matches and highlights. Starts 21 November.-

Einstein's Riddle Zebra Puzzle
The legend says that this problem was created by Albert Einstein in the last century. Einstein said that only 2% of the world could solve it.There are five houses of different colors next to each other. In each house lives a man. Each man has a unique nationality, an exclusive favorite drink, a distinct favorite brand of cigarettes and keeps specific pets. Use all the clues below to fill the grid and answer the question: "Who owns the fish?"
Give it a try, not too hard >>> https://www.brainzilla.com/logic/zebra/einsteins-riddle/
Yeah, I cracked it.
(I feel strangely pleased with myself)

Casemiro. Another 30 year old, his reminds me of the Matic transfer.
It smacks of desperation before the transfer window closes.
I'm shaking my head and I'm long time United supporter, God knows what Matt Busby is thinking.

Perhaps my wishes have been heard and proposal to buy our club from the Glazers.
I know nothing about Michael Knighton and his backers and would welcome some information about him and his plans for the club

What is "the transfer rulebook" though ?
We are faced with the dilemma of sorting short and long term problems.
Sigh ! ..........
I'm not even going to answer that if you have grasped the basic facts of managing a football team.
Sorry RickG16

Don't forget Adrien Rabiot ????
Their recruitment strategy just goes from bizarre to bizarre-er ????
Sadly I have to agree with BJ even if he does bastardize Lewis Carol's quotes and I, as you know have followed Man United for years,
It would appear that the transfer rule book has been thrown away and the club are making decisions on the run. I blame the Glazers for this, they only want to see returns on their investment by riding on the back of past glories and not investing in the club that created those winning years.
It pains me to see my team contemplating buying has-beens & wannabees, I can only hope that the in the future someone realises we need to both acquire and raise through our own academy, quality, passionate and talented players.

Couldn't be a more disappointing start especially after a pre season which showed they were moving in the right direction and ETH's way of playing. That all blew up Sunday when a false 9 didn't work and Fred and McTominay chose to have their worst possible games. Without a functioning mid field you are never going to control a game. We even had to thank Brighton for providing our goal.
Preseason Sancho and Rashford played to their strength, running at fb's with pace, Sunday it was back to passing sideways or backwards.
Brighton are a very good, well coached side, no big names but they have pattern of play that MU simply couldn't handle
To answer your question Rick the only positive I take is they have 37 more games to correct the defects but getting off to a good start was essential, the pressure already was on ,now its ramped up.
Sparkles has summed it up succinctly but let's not forget this is one game.
Of course it was disappointing and sadly there will possibly be more of the same in the future but let us not forget that we have been through this before if you look back through history and as the old saying goes "Every dog will have it's day".
Given time we will get rid of the Glazers, we will reinstate a fighting spirit, we will play attacking football and we we will establish a midfield that can control a game of football.
P.S. If you follow a team for over 67 years one always believes in the future and remember the past. "We Are United"

This topic title is misleading, as it infers that is is about an enlarged growth along the ground or lying stretched out.
Might I suggest you change the title to Prostate.
