  1. 2 witnesses needed. can be anyone. but best to get copies of their ID if they are not part of a recognised profession. IE legal or official government office. not a translator as such, but a certified translation of the documents, which should be signed at the same time (not required really, but just to keep it 'watertight' so to speak.) witnesses may need or expect to be 'tipped' for their service, polite to comply. as has been mentioned previously, would be a lot less complicated if they met in the same office as marriage registration and did the divorce there....
  2. really? daily? you sure? 23 hours and 4 minutes daily i reckon, the remainder sleeping and eating...
  3. baggage. not being able to move on from bad memories/ experiences. treating good people like sh17 based on yr time with others...
  4. the worst thing that ever happened to me was meeting the mother of what was to be the best two children that anyone could've had. worth the pain? yes, you betcha. we are here, she is..... somewhere... i don't know and couldn't give two figs. neither could they. i could not have planned a better journey in life. the 3 of us are off to alton towers in a few days. lifes grand. clouds and silver linings... nah... just kinda lucky...sweet... perhaps the worst thing is yet to come... i'm ready... bring it on
  5. wonder legal website. have form templates. they are in thai, but you can get them translated, then sign both with witnesses. if needed i can get mine out to see what it actually says, but it goes along the lines of 'Memorandum of Understanding'. can be edited to suit needs, IE, where the divorce will take place, timeframe, remove the part about children etc... however, easiest thing to do is to return to the district office where the marriage was registered, and register divorce there, 20-30 minutes and 50 Baht, done. i think the online form costs around 300 B and converts to PDF once yr happy with it.
  6. hmmmm.... interesting. apart from signing out/ logging off, i can't find it either.... i suspect that ???? hit the support tab, and send a DM to support?
  7. this is nothing new. when i was looking for a new pickup, one dealer had exactly the one i wanted, spec, colour etc, except it was his demo on red plates with 800 km on the clock. price was a few MORE kbaht than a brand new one ordered for delivery on a lead time of 3 months. why? because you can have it now.... dealers like to keep a few on the forecourt for show maybe, then they have to wait a few months to replace it? like i said, nothing new going on. i didn't want to wait....
  8. how does that old joke go...? customer at fruit and veg stall... customer- How much are your potatoes? seller- 50 pence a pound sir. customer- what? that's extortionate. the other guy said 20 pence a pound and he's sold out... seller- well sir, when we've sold out, we'll do them for 18 pence a pound, OK?
  9. OP, can we have a link to that, i can only find rumours and considering ban, not actual 'banning'....Russians still appear to have better visa conditions than most other nations to Thailand... edit, apart from the obvious one, link to which other countries are 'banning' russians... TiA
  10. if amicable you will not need a lawyer. if you can't bear to be in the same room with each other, then 35k seems to be the amount.
  11. too many, i used to fall in love everytime i turned the TV on. channel 5 weather girls were always eye candy. It's unfair to only have 1 option, but here's my line up on the podium... Bronze medal---- Tessa Wyatt Silver medal---- Rachel Riley Gold---- Carol Vorderman Carol sneaks in with the Gold 'cause she still looks great...????
  12. check if reverse light comes on when put in reverse. i don't have a camera, but my reverse parking aid played up when the gearbox switch failed. cost less than 300 baht for the non genuine switch. hope you get lucky.
  13. 1. too heavy to carry. 2. can't wait that long. 3. it's not classed as a 'night out' if i return home. 4. I haven't met a 'normal' person for many years now, so I'm just trying to fit in.
  14. glasses not available at my local bar....
  15. Aluminium bottles? for thiose who like to drink from bottles with that funny metallic taste you only get from cans....
  16. indeed. but didn't the compulsory amount used to be 10,000 for loss of life, and injury the amount of hospital plus care bills, obviously easily going above 10,000 baht within a day or two. which encouraged the practice of...... seriously though, 10,000 baht compensation (probably maximum) for serious burn injury, or any injury for that matter is like me stealing your Ferrari, wrecking it beyond repair, getting caught, and saying that i'm sorry and here's a tenner to make up for it. i know the analogy could've been better.....but...
  17. i don't think warranties count for anything in LoS. worth less than the paper they are written on. The only thing that can be done, if the contractor is confident about their work is to retain a percentage of the bill for 'x' amount of months until you are happy that all the work has been done to your satisfaction. don't know if thats the done thing here though... 6 months seems reasonable....
  18. i'm too embarrassed to say in public....
  19. i see crypto doing the same as Marconi shares. Some friends worked for a GEC company which split, one fragment being Marconi. Friends were in a monthly share buy scheme. the shares went £2....£4....£6.....£8....£10....£12.... they were of course very happy at that time, and would often like to boast how much their shares were worth.... it did seem as if 'the moon' was within reach.... a few weeks after they peaked at £12.40, the subject was taboo.... the deal with crypto IMO is like a Pattaya beer bar... only invest as much as you can afford to lose. btw, anyone out there would like to buy my Dogecoin for the same price as I paid, please DM me.....
  20. posting on ASEANNOW forum, it was clear where you are. some readers forget where they are though...
  21. Nackon Pathom I guess? or Pattaya's New Plaza...555
  22. too late, someones started a new thread lol. same title but just swapped the word 'during' with 'after'. is this the last word on this topic then?
  23. 20 nights? bus from CM to udon but stop at a couple places on the way, sukothai, petchabun ( great scenery if that rocks yr boat) for example, last stop NK for sure, to relax. i've done many eastern and isaan provinces on a honda click, but riding for anything more than 8 hours is literally a pain in the a**e.
