If they're going to depend on the "quality markets" Taiwan, Korea and China, they'll need to double the number just to keep the same income levels. Can you say...kineow!

Apple is not perfect! Okay, I said it! Now get over it and close this thread, JEEZ!

Your problem will be getting it through security at your departure airport. Customs at Swampy only randomly checks, and mostly only if you've got dark skin. If you can stuff it in a backpack, then chances are they won't know the difference.

Works for me! I just bought another $10K worth of Apple stock this morning since stock prices took a downturn today. If you don't like the product or their policies, then don't buy it!

Pantip Plaza will offer the greatest variety and prices. My research shows that prices at Pantip are not necessarily cheaper than what can be had online. However, you don't have to worry about customs and shipping fees, so it's basically a trade-off. The OCZ brand received good reviews on the following website, but not sure if they are available in Thailand. If you purchase your SSD at Pantip, there are places there that can install it.

I tried the same thing when I ordered my iPhone through the Singapore site. Not only did you need a Singapore mailing address, but your credit card also had to have a Singapore address. Good luck, mine's on the way via family in the US.

"Once the initial backup is completed, Time Machine performs subsequent hourly backups of only the files that have changed on your Mac since the last backup (as long as your Mac is awake and the backup disk is connected)."
Once your designated HD is full, then Time Machine will begin to "write over" the earliest updates. If you don't want to use the entire 2Tb as your Time Machine backup, then you need to partition your HD.

I didn't read through all 7 pages of responses, so apologize if this was brought up before. Didn't Thaksin try this before with his Elite Thailand Card scam? How did that work out?

Som nom na! Now you see how it feels to be treated like a second class citizen in a foreign country.:jap:

Drummond's "news" are always missing a side of the story, it is in general poor journalism.
No offence to AD, but after re-reading the story a 2nd time and failing to find that he tried to talk to the husband, I have to agree.
With this kind of reporting he could my GF's outbursts seem logical and correct too - doesn't mean they are.
Well there's a reason for that and I will put the husband's quotes up as they did not come to me until today. Daily Mail was closed yesterday. I was purely writing her side of the story. Another journalist was doing the husband in Scotland.
She does not get off lightly at all and many of her statements are questioned.
The Glasgow Herald stuff is tosh though, its copied from the bangkok post. . She was never suing for 100 million or whatever Thai baht and if she did she would not get it i am sure.

If you buy from AIS, DTAC or True, it will be a factory unlocked version; no need to jailbreak.

Thailand's business motto: Never miss an opportunity, to miss an opportunity.

to my understanding, there isn't any 4g servivce in los
The 4g stands for 4th generation and not 4g as in data communications
There is no iPhone 4g. It is the iPhone 4 and 4g is a cellular wireless standard.
-
The US rollout has already been delayed to July 14. I'm sure that will impact the availability through True or DTAC. You can wait for the grey market ones at MBK, but from personal experience I would never buy another one that is not factory unlocked.

This makes perfect Thai sense. AIS, the distributor of the iPhone and one of the most popular carriers is not given a license for 3G. What else can I say, but Amazing Thailand.

The one thing that AC doesn't have, that Pattaya does...SONGKRAN. I'm headed there to get away from the idiots here in Thailand, both local and farang.
-
Just my opinion.
I read in the Post (take it with a grain of salt) that the PAD did not completely vacate Suvarnabhumi. There is supposedly a small contingent sticking around to see the results of the election. If they don't like the new PM, which is very likely, they could head straight back for more of the same. Next week should be interesting.

Class action law suit against AOT? That's funny! On what grounds? Which court would you file the suit in? The Thai courts would tell you to take a hike and any other farang court would be a waste of time and money. You might get a judgement to your benefit, but thinking you could collect is laughable.
I sympathize with everyone who lost money during this cluster@&$%, but get real.

The Thais have a fascination with belts. Ever see the uni girls using an alligator clip to hold their mandatory school belt on their lovely short skirts, which have no belt loops....TIT!

Must be that the hubby is old enough to be her grandfather. I heard that the aged are supposedly very respected here; unless you're on the MRT or BTS.

130 Baht for local bottled beer and no sign of any happy hour pricing. TVs were all showing standard True Vision Gold sports, so don't expect anything special. This was a one time stop for me.

wore them on the flight, under our blazers. Our NW Airlines flight attendant on the Tokoyo-BKK leg was Thai. She saw the shirts and asked if we liked their king. We said we did and how much we were looking forward to our visit. It was our 30th wedding anniversary. She gifted us with an unopened bottle of very good wine, lifted from 1st class. I figure those shirts paid for themselves!
And what exactly did you know about their King that made you like him?

I'm looking at a long term lease in a serviced apartment at the end of Oct. The Oakwood Residence is on my short list. Does anyone have any feedback on this place?
-
I wouldn't say "totally crazy". Stupid I think is a better term.
