  1. Your problem will be getting it through security at your departure airport. Customs at Swampy only randomly checks, and mostly only if you've got dark skin. If you can stuff it in a backpack, then chances are they won't know the difference.

  2. Pantip Plaza will offer the greatest variety and prices. My research shows that prices at Pantip are not necessarily cheaper than what can be had online. However, you don't have to worry about customs and shipping fees, so it's basically a trade-off. The OCZ brand received good reviews on the following website, but not sure if they are available in Thailand. If you purchase your SSD at Pantip, there are places there that can install it.

  3. "Once the initial backup is completed, Time Machine performs subsequent hourly backups of only the files that have changed on your Mac since the last backup (as long as your Mac is awake and the backup disk is connected)."

Once your designated HD is full, then Time Machine will begin to "write over" the earliest updates. If you don't want to use the entire 2Tb as your Time Machine backup, then you need to partition your HD.

  4. Drummond's "news" are always missing a side of the story, it is in general poor journalism.

No offence to AD, but after re-reading the story a 2nd time and failing to find that he tried to talk to the husband, I have to agree.

With this kind of reporting he could my GF's outbursts seem logical and correct too - doesn't mean they are. :)

Well there's a reason for that and I will put the husband's quotes up as they did not come to me until today. Daily Mail was closed yesterday. I was purely writing her side of the story. Another journalist was doing the husband in Scotland.

She does not get off lightly at all and many of her statements are questioned.

The Glasgow Herald stuff is tosh though, its copied from the bangkok post. . She was never suing for 100 million or whatever Thai baht and if she did she would not get it i am sure.

    YAWN

  5. to my understanding, there isn't any 4g servivce in los

The 4g stands for 4th generation and not 4g as in data communications

There is no iPhone 4g. It is the iPhone 4 and 4g is a cellular wireless standard.

  6. The US rollout has already been delayed to July 14. I'm sure that will impact the availability through True or DTAC. You can wait for the grey market ones at MBK, but from personal experience I would never buy another one that is not factory unlocked.

  7. Class action law suit against AOT? That's funny! On what grounds? Which court would you file the suit in? The Thai courts would tell you to take a hike and any other farang court would be a waste of time and money. You might get a judgement to your benefit, but thinking you could collect is laughable.

I sympathize with everyone who lost money during this cluster@&$%, but get real.

  8. wore them on the flight, under our blazers. Our NW Airlines flight attendant on the Tokoyo-BKK leg was Thai. She saw the shirts and asked if we liked their king. We said we did and how much we were looking forward to our visit. It was our 30th wedding anniversary. She gifted us with an unopened bottle of very good wine, lifted from 1st class. I figure those shirts paid for themselves!

And what exactly did you know about their King that made you like him?
