  1. Preference for hard drives depends on the person and their experiences. Personally I would recommend Western Digital, and would never buy a Seagate again. I had a WD drive go bad and took it to their service center in Future Town and received a replacement, no questions asked. I was having problems with a 4TB Seagate that was advertised to be compatible with Mac OSX, but received zero help from their customer service. Come to find out Mac OSX wouldn't recognize a 4Tb partition, which Seagate refused to acknowledge. Just my opinion.

  2. There was a huge condo tower built in soi 1Sth Sathorn back in the late 90's called Pantip Tower. They wanted 90,000 b per month which at the time was two times more than Sukhumvit rates. You even had to pay a fortune to put a phone line in !

Not surprisingly the place was mostly empty. There were a couple of units that appeared to be occupied (pot plants on the balcony) , i bet they were relatives of the developers. Free rent. Thais certainly wouldnt pay for it.

You can build a large house in the provinces for 500,000 b... lock up stage.

    Ok.

  3. Evidently @Chowny77 & @JAF have been in Thailand so long they've forgotten what a Patent is. Just because Thailand doesn't give <deleted> about Intellectual Property Rights doesn't mean most of the developed world shouldn't. Of course they're trying to corner the market. As a stockholder I expect nothing less.

Now now, don't be so quick to judge another by your own standards especially when it comes to insidious business practices of Apple and Microsoft et al. The patents that they think they hold do not pertain to anything that Samsung are using just as much as the technology that Apple uses is not owned by Nokia who brought us the worlds first mobile phone. As a shareholder you are going to have to accept that if the apple is rotten, then you have probably invested in the wrong barrel.

    JAF

That is for a court of law to decide!

  5. Not worried if the pubs will be showing the late matches. I'm more concerned about the matches being shown in English. The last WC was almost ruined with the Thai commentary, dam_n near ruined everything.

You'll be in Bangkok, I'm very sure there will be more than a couple places showing the late matches. Walk into a couple of sports bars and ask.

Try the UK. I'm pretty sure the commentaries will be in English.

Another typical "if you don't like it go home" response. Why do you even waste your time? Does it make you feel like more of a man? Pathetic!
