"But they were soon eating their collective words when the guy was revealed as a teacher of motor racing drivers who is a pilot in his spare time."
Why does this make any difference? Does that make him some kind of super catch?
They mention he is wealthy and a close friend of the Bhirombakhdi family (Singha beer) so most of them suddenly changed their opinion.

I think we aren't getting the whole story. If his suitcase was exactly the same then it would be an easy story to explain.
And if he threw away the suitcase there must have been some CCTV and airport effort to ID him and track him down.
Of course the diamond bit isn't believable. If true the person would be in trouble with Thai customs!

Hi TD, I haven't had any issues since. If I get anymore I'll screenshot them and let you know.
Thanks for taking action!

Having trouble parsing that image. Is that the Thai guy with his hand on the shoulder of the boyfriend. Why does it look like they're in two rooms. That pic is giving me a headache.

Cherio Brits, without your negative contribution the EU has now a lot more money to spend on countries in real need. No more rebates, farm subsidies etc. for leeches. Hurray.
For the record I voted Remain but it's disinformation like this that really hurt the campaign. UK sends out 210m GBP a week net after factoring in the rebate and money coming back in. Those are hard facts. But it's less than 1% of GDP so not too meaningful in the scheme of things.
It's stuff like this that the Leave people blew up and used as an example of disinformation.

I'm having the same issue. On mobile sometimes I'm redirected to spam sites and can't go back. The seem to end with a button that asks to click for some sort of mobile payment. The ad is in Thai so it's obviously directed at local users.
Attached is the screen that displays as it loads the spam page.
Happened twice in a row after clicking the newsletter link to the Tops rat forum topic. Third time I got a different ad and nothing happened. My guess is someone has injected a malicious ad into the normal ad rotation.

My stomach hurts, I don't know why....
Yeah me too. And I've got this strange craving for cheese.

Sorry but i disagree with previous posters.
Being a teacher these days would challenge anyone to keep their cool;
Many children goad teachers just to see how far they can go.
Only point i agree on, is he should not have hit her head.
When i was a kid ( many many ) years ago, speak or step out of line and wallop you got it.
End of story, you learned to behave, never went home and told parents, or you got more for disrespecting your teacher.
Yeah I'm not sure where these people went to school who said this only happens in Thailand. I was smacked in school for misbehaving when I was young, though across the bum not on the head and also once by the headmaster using a ruler.

Looks like Arab vs Arab at the end. Obviously some sort of previous dispute boiling over.

Isn't this the guy who was saying that foreign guys (except him) are low class bad people?

Being in the fortunate (maybe!) position of having multiple passports I can say that the author can be assured the grass is most certainly not greener on the other side. When I compare to the two other embassies I visit for passport and visa related issues the British embassy is the more efficient.
Though of course this is a relative term. Applying for visas etc is never a pleasant experience.

I had a similar experience years ago taking a taxi to the airport. Driver kept nodding off so I kept talking to him and keeping him engaged. When we arrived I told him how dangerous it was and that he better take a nap rather than have an accident. Scary stuff.

If it's been fixed why are they saying "just wait." More to the story?
What "specifically" is the problem? Slipping, doesn't change gears properly, etc?
Sorry .. I was so upset and forgot to talk about detail. My friend had asked the service person about the problem that is knocking after faster than 100km/h driving. It seems like from the mission change. When he asked service center, they didn't take that seriously. But When my friend asked them second ask, they said. It is from the change mission shake or something like that. And they said they can not fix it, so they have to ask to German HQ. after 5 days later, they said it is done. But It keep knocking. and it is getting bigger and louder.
BTW, as long as i know that when the S class owner ask the service, they supposed to get the owner loan car. Is that right? I always get the loan car from the dealer when my car being fixed. Is Thailand dealer system different? I wish i can explain better. thank you,
Call Mercedes Thailand Star Assist Line(02-205-7811 within Thailand)...more info in weblink below and snapshot.
Review about that STAR service. ]
I called there yesterday and explain what it happen. After she listen all and gave me the other number to call. Geeeeeeeee, I spent 30 min to explain,
I called another place which she gave me and explain again, I got answer after another 30 min explain..."Been doing some searching for transmission troubles on that transmission and only 1 report comes up. It appears there was trouble selecting reverse which occurred after the car car broke down while driving. It was solved by a software update from Germany. "We will call you for today afternoon"
I know you can guess that they never called me back yesterday. I called dealer service and guy came to my office to bring back the car this morning. Nobody knows and NOBODY has a responsibility.
I would like to say that buying MB in the Thailand is crazy thing... I will keep contacting them but I feel really hot.
The first line of responsibility is with the dealer. If he is being told it's fixed but it's not fixed yet then he should be riding with the mechanic together so they can hear the sound, and when the car is ready ask them to ride together as well to ensure it is fixed. If there is a problem then ask to speak with the service manager. If he doesn't help then ask his salesperson to speak with the dealership manager. Keep escalating.
He can also try another dealer as there's a nationwide service agreement as part of the MB warranty. The problem he is experiencing could be beyond the capability of the service department at that dealership.

Reason he is crying now and shouting out in English to the press is his lawyer has advised that there are a lot of soft touches out there who don't believe anyone could possibly be guilty unless it was a Thai and preferably related to some sort of conspiracy by the "elites". Otherwise every man and their dog are innocent as newborn babies.

Sounds like more vocational school violence.

The only skyscrapers to ever fall into their own footprint because of a fire, all fell on the same day at the same place, but at different times.
One didn't even appear to have been heavily damaged and it's fall was reported on BBC several minutes before it actually fell.
A very strange day indeed.
How many jet planes have flown into skyscrapers?
Central World collapsed and it didn't even need jet fuel to weaken the steel.

sift thru "live leak" to see what we do to each otherCruelty is our species darkest attribute. What we do to animals is only a glimmer of what we do to each other.
You're kidding right ?
What we do to animals is FAR WORSE of what we do to each other.
Do we string people up and then beat them before stripping off their skin and cooking them alive? Because that's what people do to dogs in China. The adrenaline from the violent death is supposed to make the meat more tasty.

All this pageantry with staged photos of politicians handing them flowers is such fabricated nonsense. If the video hadn't gone public they would have swept it under the carpet as quietly as possible. "Thainess" includes not giving a sh*t about harm to "outsiders" unless it concerns loss of face. If anything it should be the attackers grovelling at the victims feet begging forgiveness.
In which country do things like this get senior level government attention without any publicity? If you want to be cynical you should look around.

The key is the fact that the police/prosecution have never been able to produce the "original" DNA samples that they claim match B2, the prosecution did offer up some already processed samples which for verification purposes are useless because there is no way to tell where they came from, they could in fact be processed samples of the B2's saliva, the defence rightly refused to accept these for retest
The original claimed DNA samples would/should have been huge in quantity - massive by DNA standards and yet they no longer exist.
These original samples would have been bagged and tagged from the crime scene and the autopsy and yet they cannot be produced. There is something fundamentally wrong with that no matter how you look at it.
A quick Google search shows that the DNA evidence was finally presented to the defense after the 'all used up' controversy. Yet when it was available they declined to test.

What a pile of garbage. All these same issues all over again.
Like lack of witnesses... Does the author truly believe that there would be witnesses to the murder hanging around that cove in the middle of the night? It's almost as if the author wasn't familiar with the case at all and just read some conspiracy Facebook pages.

Whoever wrote this article isn't helping by making things up and omitting facts. For example, "One aspect that was not mentioned during the program was two other western women who had been mugged by four Thai men on motorbikes the evening before in the very same spot."
It was not mentioned because it isn't true at all. The murder was on the beach at a rocky outcrop- unless the men on motorbikes rode them into the sand it was definitely not the same place.
And the suicide? Completely ignores the suicide note written in French that addressed his relatives by name. I suppose the mafia has a crack team of polyglot handwriting forgers at their disposal.
Worst part of this case is the people cheering one side or the other like its a football match and completely ignoring evidence to the contrary.

They should be kept in the police lockup overnight for ignoring the police warnings.
Can't they read the signs?
They have a YouTube channel so seem to care more for their views than obeying laws and respecting historical monuments.

I think I know this guy. He used to own a karaoke place and would go out almost every night. Usually solo and usually throwing big money around. Wore gold chains like Mr T and I could barely understand what the guy said due to the way he spoke.
Edit - He looked very Chinese so I guess that's why they thought he was from there at first.

he was fined $2.84 . I wonder if they would allow him to pay it over several monthly installments
From the looks of him it could have been based on income.

How about the rights of the neighbors? If you buy or rent a place people know who you are. If you stay in Airbnb only the owner does. In addition to being illegal and a nuisance it's unsafe.
