That’s putting it very nicely. I was thinking of another word, though. Starts with gold, ends with digger.-

It’s what Republicans/MAGA do: when they win, everything is hunky-dory, but when they lose, the election surely must have been rigged. Go figure. What happened to taking your loss like a man/woman, congratulating the winner and moving on?

Probably because in one of his speeches in 1940 Hitler made a peace offer to Britain to end the war in Western Europe.
If that comes out it could hurt the established narrative.
If you think Hitler could have been trusted making that peace offer, you’re deluded. Hitler had been building a war machine and a propaganda machine for years, and the only thing he was interested in was going to war, creating a huge German empire and getting revenge for ‘Versailles’. That, and killing all the Jews. And everyone else he viewed as his enemy. Which was pretty much everyone who didn’t agree with him. Hitler was a horribly evil man, who was willing to destroy everyone and everything by all means possible to achieve his goals. As for peace treaties and if Hitler could be trusted: remember the German - Soviet non aggression pact of 1939? And remember who broke that, less than two years later, by invading Russia?

I'm pretty sure the rhetoric of "orange man bad" "threat to our democracy" "must be stopped at all costs" has led to 2 (possibly 3) assassination attempts, and that rhetoric is not coming from Trump and his acolytes, pay attention yourself !
This is what you posted in another thread, about Alex Jones:”Alex Jones did not kill anyone or call for anyone to be killed....all he did/does is voice his opinions...despite despots as per yourself calling for the removal of his (everyones) free speech...not realizing that once his free speech is removed yours will be too...”
So what happened to free speech? Or does that only apply to right wing loonies like Alex Jones?

So people warning against Trump because they see him as a threat to democracy (have you read ‘project 2025’?) or just as a vile human being (he’s a convicted felon, among other things) is rhetoric now? Since when is telling the truth rhetoric?Trump and Vance, on the other hand, push all kind of crazy conspiracy theories, like Haitians eating cats and dogs, and all immigrants coming into the US being rapists and murderers. Now that is hateful rhetoric.

The same as you know that
"violence, political or otherwise, comes from Trump and Vance and their acolytes"
Now you’re being disingenuous. Read my post again and pay attention this time. Here’s what I said: “I’m pretty sure the rhetoric that leads to violence, political or otherwise, comes from Trump and Vance and their acolytes.”-

No calling Trump a threat to "democracy" that must be stoped as if he were Hitler has lead to 2 (possibly 3) assassination attempts so far that rheteric doesn't come from Trump and his supporters.
How do you know that has lead to those assassination attempts?-

No, I’m pretty sure the rhetoric that leads to violence, political or otherwise, comes from Trump and Vance and their acolytes.-

Trump and especially Vance keep pushing the fairy tale of Haitians eating pets, despite it having been conclusively debunked. They also keep calling them ‘illegal immigrants’, which is not true either, since the Haitians in Springfield are there legally.Smells like hate and fear mongering from the Republicans.

Just one of many (MANY!) of Trump’s nasty narcissistic traits: never take responsibility for anything, because it is always somebody else’s fault. He’s been doing that to death for decades.

Here’s all the proof you need.
Sidney Powell cited woman who claimed to be headless, time-traveling entity in email pushing election conspiracy theories.
At center of Fox News lawsuit, Sidney Powell and a ‘wackadoodle’ email.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/media/2023/03/16/sidney-powell-fox-news-dominion/
It is astonishing to me how many millions of people buy into this kind of ludicrous BS. You really can not make sh!t like this up.
Although quite a few posters here have gone down the rabbit hole and have swallowed the election fraud lies wholesale. Apparently two-thirds of Republican voters (still) believe the 2020 election was stolen from Donald Trump. Unbelievable.-

What message and values would that be?Talk a big game and pretend to be a tough guy, but instead act like a thin-skinned crybaby every time someone (or you think someone) says something bad about you?
Staging an insurrection because you can’t take your loss like a man?
Saying “I hire only the best people”, and then firing them left and right?
Going bankrupt five or six times and screwing tens of thousands of small businesses out of millions (billions?) of dollars?
Not paying your bills?
Lie and cheat every chance you get?
Cheat on every one of your three wives?
Having sex with a porn star while your wife is giving birth to your son?
Treating women like objects and telling a reporter you should just grab them by the p*ssy?
Make fun of a disabled reporter?
I’m sure I could come up with a couple more doozies, but I think you catch my drift. Donald Trump is a miserable excuse for a man who should never be allowed anywhere near a position of power again. But what really worries me is how some 70 million Americans buy into this guy’s lies, that he is God’s gift to mankind, and America’s last and only chance to be rescued from those evil Dems.

If you’d bothered to pay attention, you would have noticed that the Biden administration has been very busy over the last few years with all of those things you mention: fixing wages, unemployment, infrastructure, even borders.
The only reason the border issue didn’t get resolved was because your guy Trump ordered the GOP cowards in the Senate (or was it the House?) to kill the bi-partisan border bill.-

Looking for a good map (or maps) of Koh Chang
in Thailand Travel Forum
Posted
The Royal Thai Survey Department used to make very good and detailed cartographic maps of Thailand, scale 1:50,000 if I’m not mistaken. And there were several bookshops in Bangkok and Chiang Mai where you could buy those maps. The website of the RTSD has been unavailable for many months, though, and I’m not sure you can still buy RTSD maps in any book shop.
Does anyone know where/how I can get my hands on the RTSD maps of Koh Chang? I believe one map covers most of the island, and the other one covers the southernmost strip plus most of the islands south of Koh Chang.
I’m a bit of a map aficionado, to put it mildly, and I especially love good and very detailed cartographic maps. I’m thinking of spending next winter (2025/26) on Koh Chang, and having a good map of the island would be quite essential for me.
Any and all help/advice would be highly appreciated. Thanks!
