She’s not wrong. Trump makes everything about himself and his obsession with the ‘radical left’ (which does not exist in the USA) who are out to get him. Can’t even do a simple condolence without his usual rhetoric. Pathetic excuse for a man. And that is what tens of millions of Americans have pinned their hopes on. Unbelievable.

Analysis is telling me Dolf has made a total of 85 posts since becoming a member, and 75 of them are on this thread alone.
IMO that shrieks Trump troll, a waste of time even responding to him.
I would bet good money that Dolf is the avatar formerly known as Yellowtail. Haven”t seen anything from him in a while, yet the similarities in the kind of language used, the deflections, dismissiveness, smugness and all around obnoxiousness are striking.- 1

I notice there is no answer to my earlier question as well to why the source is biased.
Literally everything that doesn’t fit their narrative is ‘fake news’, or ‘biased’, or ‘lefty liberal nonsense’. Admitting that you’re wrong is for wimps and bleeding heart liberals, so they have to stick to their guns, no matter how overwhelming the evidence is that they are wrong, and they twist their brain in a pretzel to convince themselves that it’s perfectly okay to just ‘not believe in it’.
Just like their dear leader doesn’t believe in climate change (just a big hoax from China), didn’t believe covid was dangerous (kept calling it the China virus), doesn’t believe that he lost the 2020 election and is convinced that he has never done a thing wrong in his life and the whole world is just out to get him. So unfair! You have to be able to do some pretty impressive mental gymnastics to pull that off.- 1

I sure went down the wrong path in life when I could have done that instead of doing hard work all my working life.
Well, some of us value our history, and think we can learn from it. Others totally ignore it and make up their own as they go along. Like claiming that Trump was the greatest president ever. Or that Jan. 6 was just like any other day where tourists got a guided tour of the Capitol.- 3

I was thinking exactly the same thing. The über aggressive/dismissive tone and wording definitely remind me of a certain member that I haven’t seen any posts from for a while. Coincidence?- 1

What criteria did they use? Was it objective data or subjective opinions? What makes these random people experts? Who are they? What have they achieved in life? If they are just random historians making subjective comments then their views are no better than a movie reviewer. A lot of my favourite films did not win an Oscar and plenty of boring films did.
Let me ask you something: if Trump had come in first place, would you still be asking the same questions? A simple yes or no answer will suffice.- 1

They are not random people, they are historians, from across the political spectrum, Democrats as well as Republicans. Even among just the Republican respondents, Trump was scored last. Does that tell you enough about how bad a president Trump was?- 4

I thought they were supposed to be choosing their favourite president, as in the one they liked being in charge of them.
I very much doubt the respondents had a good enough knowledge of history to determine which one was best based on the historical record.
I very much doubt you have any idea what you’re talking about. These people are HISTORIANS. It’s their job to know history, and, using your words, “to have enough knowledge of history to determine which one was best based on the historical record. Duh!- 1

"Historians" is so funny... but it is unsurprising lefty liberal academics would do that.
So all academics are lefty liberals to you? What does science have to do with being a lefty liberal? You’re just parroting a popular right wing talking point. Science and facts are scary, right?- 1

The problem with MAGA cult members is that they will reject anything that doesn’t fit their narrative, even when it comes from a highly respected institution such as the American Political Science Association, with members across the political spectrum, Republicans and Democrats alike.
On the other hand, when MAGA cult members hear that their neighbor’s daughter’s butcher’s errand boy has read on the internet that Biden holds secret meetings with Beelzebub, the ghost of Hugo Chavez and George Soros, they will immediately believe that to be true. Go figure.

8 hours ago, Social Media said:In the wake of Alexei Navalny's tragic death in Siberia, a stark reminder emerges for democracies worldwide: some nations play by rules diametrically opposed to those of the free world. The demise of the Russian dissident underscores a broader trend where despotic regimes advance while democracies flounder.
The West, led by the United States under President Joe Biden, finds itself in a precarious position of retreat. From the emboldened actions of Putin's Russia to the audacity of Iran's Islamist government, the unfree states are flexing their muscles with impunity, while the free world struggles to respond cohesively.
In the Middle East, Iran's revolutionary regime wages a multi-front war, using proxies to threaten regional stability. Qatar, purporting to be a mediator, harbors terrorist groups like Hamas and the Taliban while leveraging its financial clout to silence criticism. China, too, capitalizes on Western vulnerabilities, ensnaring nations like America and Britain in its economic web.
Under President Biden's leadership, America's resolve appears weakened, evidenced by recent diplomatic missteps and the botched Afghanistan withdrawal. The collapse of a Senate border deal highlights a troubling shift toward adopting policies reminiscent of Trump's "America First" agenda.
In this environment, the absence of robust leadership exacerbates Western vulnerability. Washington's retreat invites aggression, emboldening adversaries and eroding confidence in the West's ability to defend its values.
The situation calls for a recalibration of priorities. While diversity and representation are vital, they should not supersede the paramount importance of national security and strategic foresight. Democracies must recognize the folly of pursuing policies blind to geopolitical realities, lest they continue to cede ground to authoritarian regimes.
As the world grapples with escalating tensions and existential threats, the West must reclaim its leadership mantle. A renewed commitment to principled diplomacy, coupled with a robust defense of democratic values, is essential to navigating the challenges ahead.
In conclusion, the West's leadership void under President Biden poses a significant threat to global stability. By prioritizing short-term political gains over long-term strategic interests, the free world risks further erosion of its influence and security. Now is the time for decisive action and unwavering resolve to confront the adversaries of freedom and democracy.

The only thing missing from this ‘op-ed’ (i.e. hit piece) is the assertion that all of this would never have happened if Trump were still president. He could have solved all those issues with just a few phone calls. If only he hadn’t been playing golf during most of his presidency…..- 4

He responded 'this has to stop' and after some diatribe 'trump will fix these issues when he gets re-elected'. I asked 'why would anybody vote for trump?' His response 'He's a good honest man, respectful to everybody'. The shopper continued, 'trump totally fulfilled all his promises to all Americans and more in his first term.'
... and 'trump has such international respect he can and will stop the war in Ukraine and the war between Israel and Hamas with one meeting about 1 hour each.
I saw an interview with one of those MAGA freaks not too long ago, and he said that Trump could stop the war in Ukraine by just calling Putin and speaking to him harshly. All the MAGA cult members standing around nodded in agreement and they all 100% believed that to be true. Had to pick my lower jaw up from the floor after watching that.- 1

Me thinks Putin spoke with forked tongue there, because we all know Trump is his favorite candidate by a factor too large to compute. Putin owns Trump, he knows exactly how to play him, and he knows that Trump admires dictators like Putin and Kim and aspires to become one himself. Putin can run rings around Trump with no effort at all. Putin can play high level chess on several boards at once, Trump is more of an intermediate checkers kind of guy.Just to be clear: I am no fan of Putin, I despise the man and what he’s done to Russia (and Ukraine). But intellectually speaking, Putin is way above Trump’s pay grade.

Billions will die, in the technically advanced nations a few million will survive as well as in some African countries. Mankind has suffered worse, the younger Dryas and the volcanoes in the Russian traps but a small number has always pulled through and it was small as witnessed by the very small genetic diversity in the human race, there is more genetic diversity in one group of chimpanzees than among mankind, I believe the bottleneck of survivors consisted of a few hundred people in India.
That was the supervolcano eruption that blew a hole in the earth which is now Lake Toba, on the island of Sumatra, some 74,000 years ago. Only a few hundred people, maybe a couple thousand at the most, survived the 1,000 year winter that followed the eruption.
There’s another supervolcano under Yellowstone Park, which is starting to show signs of becoming active again. It would sure mess up my retirement if that one erupted any time soon.- 1
Trump allies prepare to infuse ‘Christian nationalism’ in second administration

Such a misnomer, as it has very little to do with nationalism, and nothing at all with being a good Christian. It’s just an obvious cover for white supremacist fascism, plain and simple, aimed at DT becoming the imperial wizard of the country.
