  1. most ppl posting here do not seem to have a clue what is going in Samui at the moment but everybody has a super clever comment to make where most are bs.

e.g. you cannot get a hotel license for a rental villa....

Wether the guy is stupid, naive or unlucky does not really matter in this case. Just see it as a case and try to understand what it is all about.

It is getting more and more serious here as businesses struggle so now some pp try to find ways and means to make money bcs usual income went. Is just that the farang do not have the money that they are asking...and much much more to all that

  2. Thx for your reply.

What I can tell you is that in December Immigration put up a checkpoint at the entrance at my (many units) condo in BKK and checked all ppl going in and out and if you could proove you live in your own condo all was fine. Other farang that lived there and did not own (incl. family mbrs of a farang owner) where no TM30 was filed got fined.

As the rules keep spinning and changing I am asking here now. In my opinion, if you farang and own the place where you stay there should be no need to register. However no clear and sustainable rules in T. and that is why I ask. I go Samui after arriving in BKK soon and also do a few days in a hotel i Phangan...

  3. Hi@all,

I do not get any propper information about my case, so I need to ask specifically:

Case 1I travel to BKK every 2-3 months for 2-3 months. I travel on a Multiple Non-O and stay in my own condo (chanote in name).

    Questions:

    1. Do I need to send a TM30 form to immigration?

    2. If I have to, do I need to do it one time or everytime?

Case 2: Then 2x a year whilst in Thailand I travel from BKK to Samui, stay in my house (building permit in my name - for land have a leasing contract) for 2-3 weeks.

    Questions (same)

    1. Do I need to send a TM30 for this to immigration?

    2. If I have to, do I need to do it one time or everytime?

I not stay more then 90 days in Thailand, I not live there, I not married there, I never do extensions etc. like all case i read here which are different to mine.

Some answers would be appreciated. Thx

  4. I am still not clear on this topic: I come here frequently on a non-immi-o to stay 2-3 month in my own condo. As far as I understand and as far as I got told by my condo management I do not need to register with TM30 form. Just have a photo of your arrival card, passport and chanote in your phone was suggested to everybody. Also we had checks of immigration at our condo entrance in Novemebr last year and things were handled in the described way.

So if I read this here it is suggest that I as an owner living in my condo should sent TM30 everytime when I arrive?

I cannot even download it anywhere by the lack of reading thai.

  5. I am a bit confused as this seems to get a more and more important issue:

When I as a foreigner have condo with Chanote in my name in BKK, I do not need TM30 for myself, just for non-Thai vistors I will have to do. The same should apply for any plce where you have a yelow book and are named in there, correct? So when I travel in Thailand not staying in hotels, do I need to registered at such places with TM30 although I have a place in BKK where I live?
