Has anyone used a fixed term bank account for your 400,000?
-
Right! That clears things up. Thanks!

Thanks Totster,
I've been on the Hua Hin website and saw flights DD 903, 904, 907 and 908 but I can't find out where they go to . They also suggest flights to Bangkok but I can't find any more information. Any info would be appreciated.

Does anyone know of flights to Hua Hin airport? Thanks in advance for any info.

Thanks to all!

no- the beach on that island is dismal, quite far from town-its main attraction and most hotels are ageing 70-yrs monstrosities. Also: makes no sense without quoting WHEN-prices fluctuate enormously with time of year and season-think malay holidays.
Thanks for the response.
I'm doing a visa run in October and I wanted to go somewhere with the family and take the kids to the beach. When you say the beach is dismal, could you elaborate? I'm not worried about fancy hotels too much. I want to simply relax on a beach with the family for a few days. Is the beach clean and suitable for kids?

I'm planning a trip to Penang for myself, the wife and two young kids. I'd like to stay near the beach if possible. Could anyone please recommend a hotel or guest house that isn't excessively expensive?
Thank you

Yet again, we are witness to Thailand's crass ignorance of the outside world.

This followed a Facebook comment that the packed rice had been contaminated with toxic chemicals, which raised concerns over Thailand’s rice safety standards.
To assure the public of the safety, Yingluck and accompanying ministers also tested cooked rice at the factory. How would she know if she ate contaminated rice or not? I doubt she would pass a Pepsi challenge between contaminated and uncontaminated rice.

I quote you from previous posts:
"rest assured that I deliver on what I promise."
"I will not accept the payment for the course if they required with it a work permit."
So why is the title of this post:
Walen School - Teacher Training + One Year Thai Work Permit, 49,960 Baht -
Can you provide information on your certification on completion of the course and any accreditation you have?
-
If I cannot get someone a work permit I will not charge them.
What does this mean?
Means I will not accept the payment for the course if they required with it a work permit.
So, if I want a work permit, can I do the course for free?

How is Walden meeting the requirements of the Thai workers to foreign workers ratio to qualify for the amount of work permits it projects it will need?
Please note that it is Walen not Walden. I do not have the need to explain all the internal workings of my company, rest assured that I deliver on what I promise. If I cannot get someone a work permit I will not charge them. Zero financial risk. I have my reputation to think of. I would not risk my reputation for 50k.
My mistake about the name.
Do you find the need to explain any workings of your company?
You say that you deliver on what you promise. Could you make a promise on this thread?
You say that if you can't get a work permit, you won't charge. What do you mean? You won't charge for the course or you won't charge for the work permit fee?

Has anyone taken the time to look at Walden's website? I did. I didn't know whether to laugh or cringe. Their page titled The Method will leave you speechless. After that, you can read all of the five testimonials. Yes, five. I'm going to pop into my local Walden International School to take advantage of their
Free DemonstrationYou are welcome to come to our school and have a free demonstration of the Method, we are sure you will enjoy it.
I'm sure I will. Everything I've seen from the OP and his website reminds me of Gerald Ratner and his famous speech:
Although widely regarded as "tacky", the shops and their wares were nevertheless extremely popular with the public, until Ratner made a speech on 23 April 1991. During the speech, he commented:
“ We also do
cut-glass sherry decanters complete with six glasses on a silver-plated
tray that your butler can serve you drinks on, all for £4.95. People
say, "How can you sell this for such a low price?", I say, "because it's
total crap." ”
He compounded this by going on to remark that some of the earrings were "cheaper than an M&S prawn sandwich but probably wouldn't last as long." Ratner's comments have become textbook examples of the folly of making fun of, and showing contempt to, customers. In the furore that ensued, customers exacted their revenge by staying away from Ratner shops. After the speech, the value of the Ratner group plummeted by around £500 million, which very nearly resulted in the firm's collapse.- 1

This isn't about God! The moronic part of all of this is that the God of Islam, the God of Christianity and the God of Judaism is the same God. To murder and site God as the reason is doubling you eternity in hell.

He is a Londoner for sure. The media is saying probable Nigerian Muslim import.
There is a video, here
He does not look Islamic to me and does seem to have a strong British accent.
Cassius Clay is an American for sure. He has an American accent. He is definitely a Muslim; he changed his name to Muhammad Ali. Does he look Islamic to you?

KTB fixed deposit 3.7 %

I've thought about putting my extension funds into an account that pays interest and I've seen fixed deposit accounts. I assumed you pay in a lump sum for a fixed term, but the wife has looked at several bank websites and, after reading the Thai, told me that you have to deposit the same amount every month to get the interest. So you would have to open the account with 66,666 and then deposit the same amount each month for twelve months for a full deposit of 800,000. Can anyone confirm this is the case for fixed deposit accounts?
