  1. Out just in time to play about with the coalition.
  2. He played the nationalistic card and won. I was surprised at the number of reasonably educated middle aged Thais that I spoke to who told me that they would vote BJT soley on that rhetoric. When asked what other policies BJT had none of them could tell me. All we can wait for is the younger, better informed generation to shift the balance over time.
  3. Meanwhile NONE of them talk about educational reform. Teach a man to fish etc.
  4. https://www.skynews.com.au/insights-and-analysis/the-hypocrites-of-the-adelaide-writers-week-choked-on-their-own-rules/news-story/645e81d2e60febf58358582e0d49534b You're welcome.
  5. There is more to this story than what is provided above. Free speech comes with responsibilities.
  6. And these people believe that this is an appropriate policy as opposed to say education, judicial, police, army or bureaucratic reform. Sigh.
  7. Meanwhile there are a number of us retirees who would love to help out at our local schools teaching a bit of English or reading stories. But we're not allowed.
  8. Unfortunately no one has the nuts to tell him no.
  9. Out of all the posts on this topic this is the only one that tells the true story of the incident and her reaction makes perfect sense to prove a point. The disturbing thing is that she was shutdown before a debate could even be had on the bill. A bill that the majority of Australians would want to see passed.
  10. They're as bad as TAT. Up and down more often than a Macy's elevator.
  11. If they go through with the defamation charge they may find themselves in a spot of bother if the court asks 'prove it' and he does.
  12. This is good news but it's a relatively easy first step. Having hamas disarm and play no further role in terrorising the place, well that will be a monumental achievement. Good luck.
  13. That's the end of it then. Hopefully the still do the Don Mueng to Phaya Thai link.
  14. He volunteered to be a sewage supervisor which I assume means no manual labour or being anywhere near a sewer. If he really wanted to impress, why didn't he volunteer to be part of the chain gang and actually clean the sewers.
  15. I do hope that we will not be subjected to daily updates of his detention.
  16. He had already escaped to Dubailand. Why didn't he stay there? Why come back knowing he would go to jail? A slight odour to all of this, possibly a stench!
  17. Yeah, what is this all about really? I mean checking a trolley chock full of stuff against a 1m long list immediately after passing through the check out and then giving a stamp of approval and right of passage. Just why?
  18. 2023 Hong Kong: Ek buddy, you're out. 2025 Thailand: Ek old maaaate, you're in.
  19. Or simply post his activities and locations online. Where's Jim Rockford when you need him?
  20. Congratulations. We've been talking about this for 20+ years. Looking forward to it's implementation in let's say 10 years or am I being optimistic?
  21. Sending monks on junketts. Monks wanting the PP be disolved instead of forgiving them. Monks wanting more respect for them and the religion despite their recent and not so recent indiscretions. Monks stating that the scriptures advise every one should visit these sacred sites once in a life time (Las Vegas?). Delicious.
