  1. I fear that he and MFP are done for no matter what happens. The elite have had a nasty shock which they dont want repeated. Even if there is a reincarnation of MFP in the future the mechanisms for preventing a repeat of this election result in the next will be firmly put in place over the next 4 years either by a military government brought about by coup or by the coalition (without MFP) through an unholy alliance with the dark side. I hope I am wrong.
  2. They are awake. But while there is still some voting to go I think its wise to remain calm for now.
  3. I think this was the plan all along. The PT defection to the darker side will follow the dissolution of the MFP and inability for the coalition to form goverment. This will be masked by PT to their masses as a positive no choice move to enable them to remain in government so that they will be in a position to 'influence the old elite to return true democracy to Thailand and then transition them to a modern government for the people by the people'. Tony will be endorsed by Prawit to head the transformation and will spruke this as a new order of bipartisanship to end once and for all the ongoing political conflict. Simply put: Elite hold onto power, Tony gets home and the people are blindsided once again. Utterly descpicable.
  4. 199 abstained. Grow some nuts you complete and utter flogs.
  5. He said that he advised the NACC and EC of the shares and both said 'no worries'. Now what form that the 'no worries' given was in would be interesting to know. Was it a formal response in writing or was it a slap on the back verbal over a few beers?
  6. Yeah. So then daddy organised a bunch of people to be at the airport to stage a heors welcome for him. Sickening to watch.
  7. Hopefully his vision speech is broadcast to the masses so there is no mistake of what is being proposed. It may not change the minds of the dinosaurs but makes it harder for them to explain a no vote to the people based on the 'he is trying to eradicate the head of state' prefferred narative.
  8. Tough one. So many moods, so many choices. It's late but first cut are: Ride my seesaw - Moody Blues Running on empty - Jackson Browne Hollywood nights - Bob Seger Get it right next time - Gerry Rafferty Brother where you bound - Supertramp Ventura Highway - America Long jumping jeweler - Little Ruver Band River deep mountain high - Tina Turner & Jimmy Barnes version Could go on and on and on but it's late. Great thread by the way.
  9. I dont think its the senators we need to worry about. Like the EC they also do not want blood on their hands. Its Pheu Thai that is the dark horse in this race.
  10. I think they are already on the darkside. They only exist to get Tony home - at any cost. Once that's achieved they are expendable.
  11. What's with brining in the MFP MP? Is it to feign some sort of credibility to the story by the police? (rhetorical). Well he has not represented the new age, squeaky clean reputation they are portraying. Quite the opposite in this case. Reform the RTP. Dont get in bed with them.
  12. CC: Hi fellas thanks for the invite. ST: No worries. Boddingtons? CC: Yeah, go on then. AC: Well hi everybody. Lot of farangs here. Can I have a lilac water? CC: Why is he here again? ST: He’s the undesirable necessity. CC: Ok, So ST, it’s a balance of wants you see. (breaks into Aritha Franklins song Think) You need me and I need you, without each other there aint nothin people can do. AC: (Singing along not knowing the words) Yeah yeah. ST: I understand CC. TS wants to come home. CC: Correct and PW wants power. AC: I’ll help, I’ll help, can I, can I? CC&ST: Shut up AC and let the grown ups talk. ST: We need to get rid of nong Pt first. CC: Already in the works son – orders from above. If we agree this new coalition then the deal is done. AC: Can I join? Can I, can I? CC: You’ll do as your told AC and like it now cork it, there’s a good lad. ST: But what about our ‘PT will never get involved with the military’ stance - the PT voters will erupt. They will never vote for us again. CC: A core part of this deal is Once TS is back TS will retire and PT will not run for election again. Anyway PT is expendable. TS couldn’t care less what happens to PT it’s only ever been his tool to facilitate his return. ST: You mean I could be out of a job? CC: More than likely but not for 4 years though. ST: Oh. But what about the trouble. Last time it was only us on the streets. This time you will have both red and orange to deal with. CC: The reds don’t worry me because we will control the money. Without it they won’t protest. We can push through a few of the smaller easierpolicies of both the reds and oranges to show the minions how much we also want change. ST: They are young, smart and savvy C. They won’t fall for that and will protest from their hearts. CC: Yes, but I have the army and 112. So are you in? ST: Yep. Cheers. CC: Cheers. (Slurp) Do you have any Leo? AC: I’ll help. Please let me, please. CC&ST: Jesus shut up A. What’s the score? AN: Same as last time. The people: 0. The elite: 1 again.
  13. I wouldnt put it past them. How much value do that put on getting Tony home? Interesting interview on Al Jazeera where there was some tension between MFP and PT reps over MFP policies. I dont trust PT at all.
  14. The bedrooms seem very large. You only need 4 x 4 for a good size considering you have the BIR and ensuites. Reducing these may allow for a laundry.
  15. The sad fact is a number of these people will believe what he said and vote for him.
  16. Actually it did with the wires in BKK. Suggest a high profile actor gets here and posts on his facebook page the disaster that is. Thais dont watch Al Jazeera, BBC or German TV.
  17. ‘He asked me what I would do if I came to take care of the country. I replied that it was very easy. The land of Thailand, Thailand is for patriots. The land of Thailand is a holy land with the monarchy being the pillar of the country. If you don’t like it, you don’t have the right to change it. Because the whole nation of Thai people wants to keep it like this. If you don’t like it, please go to another place. That is not forbidden. Go. Which country do you like? But Thailand must always be like this. Under the United Thai Nation (Ruam Thai Sang Chart) Party, we will not change. If we are supported by the people of Thailand as the leader of the government, we will deal with racists,’ Mr Peeraphan declared. And here in lies the problem.
